Barneys Farm Sponsors Grow: Gorilla Zkittles, Orange Sherbert Plus Many More

That's a beauty contest winner right there!
Beautiful pics,Prof:drool:

Thanks Cass. Got some pics of the Purple Punch coming up. She's still fighting and going strong but not sure this one would be allowed to enter a beauty contest. There's some nice fade appearing on her though

Purple Punch....

No bad news for this one today. I had a look at her roots again and they still smell. I've changed her res but other than that it's fingers crossed. Not a lot I can do at this point. She's beginning to show signs that the end is in sight just like the others are. There's some purple fade appearing on some of her leaves. Some of her buds are also beginning to turn but it's difficult to see with this lighting. I haven't actually seen her true colours for a week or so now. I'd say she has around 2 weeks left as well. This plant is on day 50 of flower....

The last update for this evening is of the new strains. There's a mild bit of drama with these 2 but not with the plants themselves. The soil seems to be a breeding ground for algae. I have a verdant carpet surrounding my seedlings lol. Not to worry...I think. If I had to guess I'd say that the really cheap soil that I purchased hasn't been pasteurised of anything like that. There are 13 other plants sharing the same space but no green soil on any of them. The plants themselves are looking good and are growing well. Tomorrow I'll sort out the veg tent again so they'll have a nice, bright and ventilated home once again. I'll be recycling some soil for the next grow which I'll add to this cheap stuff to bulk it up and add some more air to the mix. This stuff seems very spongy to the touch and looks as if it can hold a lot of water. So far so good. Except the green....

I'd liken it to lichen.

Looks like you had a cold earlier but got over it, so that's good!

The downside to H2O2 over the more expensive enzymes is that it only lasts a few days before you need to add more. You don't need to do a res change every time, just dump it in.

Good catch on the fan...wouldn't want to go through what you, me, and VG went through on our last harvests :(.

The plants look fat and frosty...well done Professor!

I met a lichenologist once. Interesting guy.

I didn't mention it yesterday as I forgot but it was national "chicken soup for the soul" day in the uk. I think that helped with the cold.

Ok, in the future I'll just dump. How often would you say it was actually necessary to change a DWC res? It gets full of bits of roots and general detritus quite quickly.

Dun dun dun Another fan bites the dust.

Thank you Shed. Fat and frosty is a fine compliment for a plant. Wouldn't work with the missus though

Hey 420! I'm hap hap happy as it's nearly the weekend and I get to spend time with the kids and the garden. Oh, and Mrs Flora. It's getting closer to the end for this round and I'm thinking about starting the cull next weekend. I'll only be chopping one a day to keep me sane as it'll take a good few hours. I've just stocked up on bicarb and lemon juice so it's on! Things are going well for the most part. I'm checking everyday for signs of mould but I think it'll be ok this time. It's not anyway near as humid now that the sun has disappeared. I've just watered the 3 soil plants and will top up the res for PP tomorrow. I reduced the feed to 1200ppm as the Shishkaberry and Vanilla Kush are looking like they need less nutes. The Ayahuasca Purple is looking super duper and has barely a scuff on her. Time for some pics me thinks....

Ayahuasca Purple....

This one is probably my favourite to look at. Such a beautiful plant. It looks like she'll have a much lower yield than the others but I'm betting it's going to be delicious....

The new plants....

Both are growing well but there's some splotches on the Tropicanna Banana. I'm putting it down to the soil and will start feeding them on the next watering. I've buried the algae with some better soil so that fixes that problem. Also they're back in a tent though it's still a little cramped....

All looks great prof so near the finish for these ladies and their buds are top notch. Are many of those high thc strains? Mrs. N likes the taste of the Os but was saying she doesn't find it that strong. I looked it up and the thc is at 14%. Luckily the Gz is supposed to be around the 20-24% thc but I should look into some stronger meds for future runs.

Thanks N. I'm not sure of the THC ratings of the current strains. The GZ has been the strongest strain so far in this grow. I can't imagine the Purple Punch being weak. Her parents are both known for being strong. Sorry bud, can't help much more than that

Appreciate it prof that is helpful. I think Mrs. N will like the Gz she has a way higher tolerance then I do lol. I actually picked up some Purple Punch auto's on a recent seed order really excited to run those. I have 2 more Barney's strains I'm going to drop this weekend one your very familiar with and the other should be a tasty one that I haven't really seen grown out on 420.

Hey 420. Hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend. I've been playing dinosaurs with the kids most of the day so it's been good. Quick Sunday pics bomb for you all this evening. Here we are on flowering Day 56. It's getting close....
