Bapple's 2016 Outdoor Adventures - Photo & Auto Strains

Windy day here today - high of 21C

My Blue Dreams are fattening up nicely, a bit of bother from snails but nothing major.

The three photo youngsters (Portela, Bubbas Gift and 707 Truthband) are powering through whatever was the problem and growing, the new leaves look normal, so fingers crossed.

So I'm off to the UK and France for 10 or so days from midweek so will be schtum for a bit. I will probably harvest the BD early May, but will see what they are doing when I return. They showed pistils 10th March, so it will be day 60 flowering 10 May.

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday :Namaste:

Enjoy your little "holiday" or work? Do you get to enjoy France? Plants are looking good, fattening up nicely.. Glad those issues seem to have resolved themselves... Hope your well :passitleft:

Hey Grizz! :ciao:

It's work, but I like travelling so never complain. Just being in France is being able to enjoy France  one has to stop for meals, and driving from one place to another one can't help taking in the stunning architecture.

Last night on 420 Mag for a bit; I better go and vote POTM before I forget. Peace Grizz :Namaste::high-five:

So, got back a couple of hours ago. Apparently it rained 4 days out of seven while we were away, with hail and strong winds.

It's too dark to go and see what all the 420 grow is doing, but some of my tomatoes seedlings are damaged.

That's it for now :ciao:

How was trip? Good food? Hope the girls are well... :passitleft:

The weather has gone coldish in the evenings which is wrong for this time of year here. Daytime low 20's but nights as low as 12 over the last week and looks like it'll stay that way for a few more days.

My 420 girls were all fine.

So AutoBlackberry Kush and Auto DaquiriLime at day 63, I think they could still go another couple of weeks or 3......

The Blue Dreams are doing their thing, no visible signs of BR even though humidity is to stars, the larger plant is only 2 days older than the smaller plant but the smaller plant is in a smaller pot. Looks like the big girl is nearly there.....I need to get my loupe out for a looksie tomorrow. I've heard people say it's best to take BD's early but I did not harvest the Autumn BD early and we really liked the smoke. I think I'll wait another 10 to 14 days, but will decide after a look through the loupe.

The three freshman kids are recovering from whatever was ailing them and all the new growth is normal and healthy. The two larger plants look wonky because I had the pots on their side while I was away to get some serious side branching going; lazy woman's LST

Trip was excellent thank you Grizz, and the girls all seem fine.

Hoping for the best for your girls. :Namaste:

Hey Staker! How's tricks?

They seem fine. I have been neglectful of the two autos from the get go but apart from size wise they are carrying on. The BD's are my bonus blessing as I did not expect the seeds to sprout, then when they did I was not sure they'd be female....now they are nearly done and the larger plant is going to yield well; let's hope no mould.

Hey Spart! :ciao:

LOL it's just the one.....either the BD is genetically predisposed to self seed when it's on its last legs, or the stress from the cold nights early on....but as this two girls were from selfed seeds from the Autumn BD; it's not a shabby outcome at all if I get 4 - 6 seeds off each plant as the strain is very good and potent. I am liking HSO genetics more and more.

Hope your week has gone well :Namaste:

I too am very impressed with HSO's genetics and seeds, they all seem to germinate, now those damn little boxes they're packaged in are a pain in my arse. I really do like the BD myself.

Both Blue Dreams - right way up pics :battingeyelashes::battingeyelashes:

Kinda hard to tell, but I would say she's ready MS. B. I took some early and some late last year, both were good, preferred the later, I was going to let the last one I took go a bit longer but she got so dense that I starting having a few mold spots on some top buds, It was my best plant outside last year, and the reason i have 3 more vegging now to go out again this year, and the fact that I am down to just a few nugs of that left. I tried to go back and read my old journal for you to check how long she'd been there. but all were early finishers for sure. I really enjoy everything about HSO's Blue Dream. I think you'll be fine with a sunday harvest. I do remember she had a huge swell a week after I thought she was ready, I was just busy trimming others and turned out I was glad I gave her another week, but Yours seems to be fox tailing and more brown hair so I'd say she's ready.

Forgot the camera when I went down to water the Auto girls in Narnia, but they are okay and smelling up a storm...

Happy Sunday everyone :Namaste:

Nice sized cola. Outdoor grows are crazy when it comes to size. Not sure about outdoor plants but those colas are a bit green to harvest if indoor. Do outdoor plants start yellowing as well?

Cheers

Hey Millertime! :ciao:

The leaves do yellow up outdoors as well, but the high that we prefer is more head and less body, and that's best taken fairly early on. I will leave the bottoms for another 14 days and jar them separately to see what the difference is

image11698.jpeg

There was no mould at all in the in the top colas, and the rain seems to be gone for now, so hopefully they'll keep gaining weight. The only thing that bugged the plants were snails but no other issues at all. I'm tempted to feed them but I don't think I will.

Good to see you in my garden. :Namaste:

Sorry I didn't see this till now, but great timing for what you prefer IMO. :thumb: I have found a pheno or two of their BD that is all hazy, that goes long, but the chunky hybrid pheno (what yours looks like) is beter at 60-65 days if you prefer no lethargy. She looks perfect, you're going to love it, great daytime weed.:Namaste:
