Bapple's 2015 Outdoor Grow - Autos & Photos

How to Get Rid of Ants: 10 Natural Solutions that Help to Clean out the Pests

When all else fails just buy a few ant traps and take them out before watering. Your autos are looking lovely btw . Me i go directly from the jiffy pods to final big pot. I did a few last year in the ground and never again for me I'd rather keep em in pots incase of bad weather. Since they only live for 3 months i want them to be the best three months possible.

Hello Spart and thank you :thankyou:

Yes last year I had my first four autos in the ground. They grew well but did not yield heaps because I had not amended the soil and dug a shallow hole which I filled with compost. The two plants I grew in pots with Plagron Growmix soil were my biggest yielders by miles. I think I will put them all in pots. I was going to put the Portela in the ground but as I am not sure which is the ASD or Portela yet, I better not.

lovely updates :)

happy easter to you and your loved ones!

Well last year i did the sweet seeds sweet auto mix of 10 seeds and i fucked it up good and proper stunted them all by to much horse fertilizer in the second pot before the ground. Ended up with maybe ten grams each plant but hey live and learn. I now find that if you buy a good quality soil with most of the nutes in it already like the biobizz all mix or the equivalent the grow goes much smoother and the less stress the higher yielding. As of now I'm going for 60g were the last one i got 40g the next I'm shooting for 80g which is double the first red poison I did.

It would be lovely to be able to mix my own soil, but for me it's just not practical. Pre fertilised soil makes it possible for me to do this by myself. The day I dug the holes for my pots I realised I am no longer a Spring chicken, I was KO'd afterwards :rofl:

My last auto i used this soil called Agloflash it has 3 months worth of slow release fertilizer worked ok it came in a 25l sac. Next time its biobizz all mix with my biobizz try outdoor pack. But it gonna wait til about end of Aug as its gonna be holiday season around here and lots of prying eyes.

The dreaded prying eyes. Here the summer home crowd are starting to appear to clear yards and prepare homes for summer. I made sure to move all my supplies to my grow area weeks ago. This morning I moved the plants in plastic bags cos there were people about. The grow area is not visible from any angle, but being seen schlepping endless bags of substrate and supplies towards an uncleared and overgrown part of the garden might cause curiousity and the locals are mega nosey. So better safe than sorry.

I live by the sea so as it warms up the population of this town quadruples every year but it doesnt snow here all year so it should be good the first auto i did this year was finished beginning of last month ^_^

Neighbors can be nosey bastards.

Yep!

I am by the sea also and it does not snow here either but January and February are cold and terribly humid, this year March was pretty shabby. Could not get away with an outdoor plant before March......

Okay - all 4 girls joined the other two in their final pots and final spot this morning. Forgive quality of some of the photos.

pinched out the growing tip on the HH as she seems all recovered from transplant and change of location

Individual shots, I don't know the plants apart yet. I know who the autos are and who the photos are and of course the HH and AM cos they were labelled. I find vegetative growth boring, can't wait for them to start flowering. The plant with the large spots is the AM which did not take kindly to the bug spray I sprayed yesterday. But no further bug damage today. The HH didn't really mind it.

Was a lovely day here today and I spent most of it outdoors, hope everyone has had a pleasant Sunday. :grinjoint:

Hey Bapple, about these autos that where planted with their pots, do you cut the pot and transplant them inside it so you dont shock them or something and just let them ride it through, or is it just the photo showing us how long of a hole you had to dig for the plant to go in.

i got a little confused :hmmmm:

im looking to plant autos outdoor thats why im asking this all of the sudden :laughtwo: .

Howdy 420 Bro!

The pots are intact, they have just been lowered into the holes dug for them for stealth reasons, and to help the soil in the pots stay cool during our hellish summertime.

Hope your Sunday is going well :thumb:

ohhh right i get it, nice .. ok now im on board with whats happening

good stuff :thumb:

There are holes at the bottom of the pots. Each hole has approximately 4 inches of expanded clay balls in it I put the pots on top of the clay ball buffer - additionally each pot has a layer of expanded clay balls underneath the substrate. Drainage is not an issue
