I didn't find anything rude; did I miss something? It's raining and I have been cooped up in the office all day. But imagine the girls will love the rain and they're getting more junk in their trunks as we speak :rofl::rofl::grinjoint::woohoo:

+1 to washing buds. So much crap came out of my outdoor grow! And it was under plastic (greenhouse roof) too.

I am convinced of the fact there is extraneous crap attached to the bud at harvest, just don't want to affect the end product by washing it.....in any event as soon as I figure out where I can hang stuff safely and privately I will do a side by side test washing some and not others from one strain and see what my outcome is.

Hope you're doing great Sam :thanks:

Hey Bapple

So I have a washed and unwashed Dj short test in the strain test results thread. It had no effect. The unwashed actually was a Lil lower. I wash all my product now. Every last crumb.

Hey Bapple, I also have a Costco membership. While I was there today, I checked and they do not carry the rolls of produce bags in the USA. They said they weren't positive but they didn't think that the stores in England would have them either. So see if you can find a store close to Costco that has them. Just FYI TOAST

Hey Toast!

The Costco in the UK does some very large ziplock bags (was very impressed by your ingenuity with them) and several types of plastic bags by the thousands. I am pretty sure I'll find what I am looking for there if not I'll hit the Chinese Cash and Carry (Wing Yip) they carry plastic bags in wholesale quantities also.

Thanks for the follow up :thumb: :thankyou:

Thanks for chiming in DP - as soon as I get my logistics in order here, I'll be able to see what all the fuss is about.:thanks:

Howdy again Toast!

Thanks for the kind offer, the Supreme Leader (my husband ) already googled it and as we will be in Miami and then Boston in September we already have a game plan re buying some while we are there. I will not be cloning anything until my next grow which will be next Spring now so no emergency. Nevertheless thanks for the offer :thankyou::thankyou:

Hello Jaga!

I am here working hard as its suddenly gotten busy over the last couple of weeks or so, at least better busy than sitting here picking fluff from my belly button :rofl:

Sounds like you had a blast with your mate.

Hope all is well with you and your Mrs :green_heart:

Hey Bapple! I just wanted to chime in and tell you how much I have been enjoying watching your grow. I truly is amazing how quick the newer Autos grow. I'm with you I have been learning a ton about the proper nutrient game plan with autos. I'm always yammering on and on about plant stages. These little stinkers grow so fast they go through different stages very quickly. I think that I am about down to giving them a kick in the pants fertilizer shot fairly early in the veg process and then just letting them ride until early flower. Then flip them to some bud feed and then just let them ride it out. You would think that with that rapid growth they would really suck up the nutrients available but they really don't appear to in relation to the growth that I see. I have seen some interesting results with my coconut milk feeding but I don't believe that it is enough to warrant the extra expense unless it proves me wrong at harvest time.

Best of luck in all you grow!

Hello there Holler!

Thanks for your kind compliments, but to be honest the real stars are the plants/strains/genetics, because as I have no help with my cannabis grow, I try to keep any unnecessary babying and fussing to an absolute minimum.

I think Autos are easy but I have only ever grown stuff from 2 breeders who have been in the Auto game from the beginning here in Europe. I was never a fertiliser happy gardener and when I started growing cannabis last year, I just continued my easy on the nutes tendencies with my Autos and they loved it. They are quick and rewarding if they like what one is doing.

You're a well experienced farmer, so I probably don't have to tell you that the early veg fert kick will only work with autos if your substrate is pretty empty of nutes. The only auto grow I messed up (well stunted) was my first one, cos she just did not take kindly to the veg nutes at 14 days. She responded by sitting there doing nothing for nearly two weeks.

Thanks for the good wishes, I will be taking down 2 of my girls at the weekend - probably a week too early for the AM but I am away in 10 days for work and the Supreme Leader is pleading ignorance; plus he hates nature (bugs and any sort of wild vegetation):rofl:

Yes Boston, we will be attending a wedding so will spend 3 days in Back Bay. I don't really care for the people getting married but I am looking forward to a daily shot of Legal Seafood - I must confess I love that chain :bigblush:

Thank you for the kind and friendly offer, we are all sorted out for transport in and out of Boston :thanks:

Bad news - went to see how the girls were doing and to take the last pics before harvest about 3 hrs ago and noticed a cluster of dying/wilting leaves in the top cola of the older Automazar. Closer examination revealed bud rot in the top 2/3 of the top cola. When everyone had gone home went down to Narnia and pulled both the AM and the ABK.

The ABK was all airy buds and had quite a few little creepy crawlies in it. A disappointing 69 grams wet.

The AM without the rotted top cola 159 grams. Strangely no nasties in the buds e xcept for the bud rot.....

Now quick drying a bit of the AM to see how she smokes, cos I am now scared the topped AM might get bud rot while I am away. If the smoke is acceptable I will also pull her on Sunday.

Photos are pretty crap but the rot area is from the two floppy/wilting leaves till the clear area of mold a bit further down - a substantial piece of the top cola. This was a hurried and disorganised harvest but I was not going to leave the plant standing once I discovered the BR.

Now tired and emotional, going to roll a fattie and see if I feel better after. Siggghhhh

More bad news.....sighhhhhh! Here sunny and very humid as it has been for the last week or so.

The 3 Photo plants, Portela day 72, Amherst Sour Diesel day 72, and Hollands Hope day 101 were all fed 5ml/litre of BioBizz Grow.

The 2 remaining Autos - Blue AutoMazar and the topped AutoMazar had BioBizz Bloom and Topmax at 3ml/litre and Plagron PK13/14 At 2ml/litre., their last feed before they come down mid June.

So bad news number one. Took the top colas off the topped AM cos I found bud rot which was not there on Friday, in one of the top colas.

So second bit of dubious news, the ASD has thrown out pistils :jawdropper: what the deuce does she think she is doing?

image26203.jpg

Blue AutoMazar looks and smells amazing, she is now 138 cms tall, and getting fatter daily. Like the AM the buds on her are dense and rock hard. Hope she doesn't get bud rot, RH has hovered between 58 and 72% over the last week or so......

All is wellish in Narnia - Portela and Hollands Hope not giving any problems and bushing out nicely.

Seriously hungover following a night of excess which ended at 4am this morning. Letting down the mosquito net over the hammock and going back to sleep after I eat something.....

Hope my 420 brethren are all having a fabulous Sunday wherever they are. :allgood::green_heart::rollit:

Hi ya doing bapple,
Good too see you still at it! I am also having a bit of a mold problem, went out yesterday and found this.
So I cut all infected areas off, to only find more the next day :(
Unfortunately it was on the one I really wanted(go figure right) now I'm just left with two main branches(least their the biggest) that have been reverting back to vegg. And if I'm correct on how revegg plants grow I'm gonna need the extra room anyway lol.
So maybe for the best. Super humid and rainy here as well bapple hope the rest of your grow is very fruitful for ya, and happy Sunday.

P.s. check my journal out if you have time and help me confirm my concern of mold, cause if not i just butchers my plant for nothing;)
