Bapple's 2015 Outdoor Grow - Autos & Photos

Bapples, I hear you on the brazen and early starts, got a lil' eager & brazen myself this year and now going all scary cat on myself, ha. For some reason I thought I understood you were in a legal or don't ask don't tell country/state? Nun my biz of course, was just jealous as I am of everyone in friendly places. Looking to make that move myself in about 10 years, good Lord willing and the creek don't rise.

LOL - all scary cat on yourself, totally feeling that phrase :rofl::rofl:

I am not in Spain Cap'n - floating between Europe and Africa is the best I can do info wise :winkyface::winkyface:

However, irrespective of how legal it becomes, I am unlikely to ever grow openly. Many things are now 'illegal' (sexual discrimination, racial discrimination, active homophobia) but when did anyone last climb into someone's head to stop them thinking and believing what they continue to believe. I believe it will take at least one generation more for cannabis to be as acceptable as pharmaceuticals and alcohol. By then I will be sleeping with the worms.

Hope all is well with you Cap'n :thumb:

It's still illegal in spain if it's in your own house then it's over looked but only to an extent and who said she was in Spain.

Hey Spart, How's tricks? :allgood:

It's going still losing fan leaves quicker now... they're drying out abit and with the wind there just blowing away. The hairs are more brown and more brown she's on just water now til mid next week and I'm gonna chop. Turns out my work has doubled to two weeks so there's no way i can leave her for that long. Was thinking a self watering thing but even at that she would only last for maybe 3 or 4 days. Id rather have a bit of energetic smoke then a dead plant that is ruined. But just means i can get a better kit still haven't decided what to do with the lil cheese maybe I'll plant it off in the wild somewhere.

Work comes first, so ones got to do what ones got to do Spart :allgood:

I am hoping that my BAM and the topped AM don't go over (as in too couch locky) while I am away. Fortunately, I am able to move my pots out of direct sunlight and into part shade when I am not here and that will keep the soil from drying out too quickly but the buds will continue to fatten up.

And don't forget to factor in drying time....do you use Boveda? It makes it possible to jar them and go away without having to worry about getting someone to burp the jar while you are away.

The 58 boveda is better. I personally hang till snap, trim, jar and occasionally burp maybe every third day. I dont use Bovedas but own them. I built a cure closet with fans and such it keeps humidity consistent at 55-60. When i do burp I leave lids off maybe 30-45 mins on all jars while om doing something else. Then repeat maybe in 2,3 or 5 days.

I'm putting together a drying tutorial thread with videos coming soon.

Plants look great Bapple. Quick question the fuzz that lands on your plants is that a form of cotton? Or just weeds seeding out. Beautiful place bap

Yeah i normally hang til snap (3-5days rh 40-50%) then glass jar and burp once a day for about 20-30 for the first week and after once every week or whenever. I normally dont have anything more then a few oz so it really doesn't last to long. Most time not even to next harvest or even next month hahaha.

Hey DP, great to see you round these parts on your day off :thumb:

I don't hang dry, I use the paper bag drying method, freshly harvested golf ball sized buds go into brown unwaxed paper bags - one loose layer per bag. Bags are folded over twice and stapled. Bags are placed into an unwaxed cardboard box. I start checking from day 4 cos maximum it's ever taken in coldish weather was 6 days..... I pop the buds into a large jar with hygrometer. Check RH in jar after about 2 hrs. If it's higher than 65% buds go back into paper bags if it's at 65 or lower they go into jars with a Boveda 62 (60 gm packs) I burp the jars when I remember or am able to or when I want to fill the room with the smell of my stash :):grinjoint:

I have found them a foolproof way to cure my buds beautifully without all the carry on of burping.....

The cotton type stuff are airborne grass/weed seeds. They stick to everything down here between April and June every year.

Thanks for the compliments on my grow and my garden space. I am looking forward to harvest, have been smoke free for too long now (she said dramatically)

Enjoy your day off, you surely deserve it :high-five:

Thanks for the reassurance Carestaker, at least I know she's going to yield handsomely irrespective, just wish I could just let her rip. Next year I am going to alter Narnia slightly by putting some fast growing evergreen of some sort to block the view from the vulnerable perimeter wall so I can let an ASD run riot. I want to see how big they can get (tee hee)

I hope your Saturday is going well :thumb:

Low 20's here today and quite windy.

All is well with my girls. Photo plants were fed/watered with just Magnesium Sulphate. Autos to be harvested next weekend just water, and the Autos to be harvested mid June were fed with BioBizz Grow (1ml/litre) Bloom (5ml)
Topmax (3ml) Plagron PK 13/14 (2ml)

The ASD was topped - took about 8 inches off her 4 tops. Fimmed the tops of the Portela again, trying to get her to bush out.

No photographs today as I posted quite a few during last week.

Hope everyone is having a relaxed and enjoyable Sunday :rollit::green_heart:

All is well MS Bapple thank you. I agree I think we're one generation away, however when I'm about 75-80 years old I plan on saying what I want openly and will more than likely grow a little grass in my vegetable garden openly, everyone else be damned..:wood:, that is if I make it a few more years.

Big believer in making up my own mind; as I feel everyone should, how I want to live my life, I think I have good guidelines for myself w/o damn governments or politicians deciding for me. Hell with all that though, I don't listen to 'em much these days and won't dwell on it any further. Glad things are looking good. I gotta study up some more on the autos, lil' boogers seem finicky. Like I said it was nun my business.

:thumb:

Why wait till your 80? Stuff em... Want to look and have preconceived ideas on me? Well you already do now, so I'm going to enjoy openly my life and give you more fuel if you need or change your preconceived ideas, either way, I don't care...

Hey Toast! Thanks for swinging by :thumb: and thanks for the compliments.

I don't hang dry, and Conradino seems to think bud washing degrades the terpenes......

You'll be a convert if you do. Washed my first lot this year.. I never want to smoke the stuff that came out of it ever again. Very surprised and more than happy to degrade a little terpenes (unnoticeable) than smoke thrip, fly, bird shit, seaweed extract from foliar feeding and more dirt and dust than you'd realise.

I wish I were that brave. Unfortunately I have too many things and people to consider (my mother, my siblings, my daughter, my husband and his relatives, our respective careers and businesses) all would be adversely impacted if I decided sod it - I grow and smoke cannabis so what? The world is warped and upside down but What can one do?

Autos can be little madams, but apart from stunting my first grow cos I started her off too early and then switched to bloom nutes too quickly, I find them easy to grow outdoors. I think genetics (breeder choice)are important from the point of view that you get what you think you're getting. But doing research oneself is invaluable, so you're right read everything you can, that way you're ready for whatever they throw at you.

Always good to hear from you Cap'n. :thumb:

Washing makes total sense, cos we wash our other fruits and veg, now I just have to figure a private hanging space.....too many people in and out of the house 6 days a week. Maybe I'll have it figured out before the Photos are ready late Summer.

Hope all is well your neck of the woods Grizz :thanks:
