BakedARea's Cultivated Blessings: A Myriad Of Genetics & Shenanigans

Thanks for the insights @Krissi1982 & @Moony . I was thinking 3 gallon max for this one. All I have right now are regular autos, not feminized. I have seen a couple folks uppot twice if memory serves me right. I was thinking this little one straight to a 3 but that would be a ton of extra soil and moisture. It will have to be a slow transition for me when it comes to the watering.

If this auto ends up being a male...urgh. oh well I guess.

I have more auto seeds to try. Still not certain on my space which is a slight concern.
You tend to underwater so...that's good if you did want to go up. Harvests have been 4.5 to 5.25 oz out of 3 gl pots since under the FC4800 and they take up the perfect amount of space! I think 3 gl are just right but that's me! Get those self feed pots!

Ohhhh! I don't know if I have seen the smaller ones. I'll go look.
Omg if you were only closer :dude-knocking:

@7 weeks the autos? Under that light, week 4 lol  autos can take a while though in all honesty
Nooo I will have them for 7-8 week in the first tent. Then I'll finish in the second veg tent which I start when the first tent needs flipping :) they should get 14 week ish before I need the space.

14 weeks! Now that's going way far in the other direction! I'm sure they will be done by then!

Hehe 1 is 66 days other is 75. So yeah should be more than done. Just a bit of a bonus harvest half way through. I'll be shutting down for a month or so when the run after this one finishes. If I time it right should be beginning of June so will be too hot to grow then. I may run into problems but hopefully It won't be too bad with only 1 tent running by then.

My break is for a week or two after this journal and the 3 others are over. Prolly all be finishing within a month of eachother, pulling the photos week by week behind one another and the autos a group harvest. Hope you're not down long friend

Wow you have your hands full until then hehe. I Shouldn't be too long down :) a month maybe 2 max. Even then I can probably get my next run started after a month down even if I just use a tiny tent under just a TS1000. Shouldn't be too hot and I can get a 3 week headstart. Btw get over to my new journal. I have life!! Hehe

Sorry, been out of town! ;)

Babies look like tweens now and happier than most tweens unless they got to go to a (insert pop star name here) concert. :thumb:

And I really dig those pic labels you use. Noice!

Sounds like someone just gave me a chore...
Lol sorry! I usually just flatten the leaf between my fingers and squish whatever might be in there.
Told my brain to eat some worm shit and shut up.
Literal LOL!
So my question, would you go into the final container from here or up one size (1 gal) more before the final container (3 gallon)?
I'd go to the 3 gallon and skip a step. It's not too hard to correctly water a small plant in a 3 gallon pot. 7 gallons take more concentration and a steady hand. :)

Started this update at 5am...it is now almost 5pm...

Hey everyone! Buenos días and many blessings!
Things were looking like they were on cruise control this morning. That make me happy to see happy plants. All the babies got another semi-drench yesterday to keep the top layer moist. The fabric pots definitely got more moisture taken away. The sides were starting to contract too much for my liking. Next time, I'm going to backfill it some more.

I just have to give major props to this community. So much love, respect, patience, and compassion. We have so many folks that come in and out of here throughout the day and sometimes only a few times a week, if that. Some of us are on here daily. We get to see each other's progress, good and bad, not only with our growing but with life struggles if we so choose to share. Heart and soul full of blessings is going out to all of us that are hurting. If you are having a wonderful day, then awesome! Keep it great and be a blessing to just one other person for a single moment today. They may need it more than ever and you just may never know it.

A warm and grateful heart goes out to one of our own, @InTheShed , for blessing me yesterday with a chance to say hi and to chat it up. Not just that, he also blessed me with so much more. I don't need to go into everything but the chance to test out his droughted Sour G! Woooooo!!! A wonderful earthy spice aroma with a hint of that sour fuel candy. What a pleasure to grind up and vape yesterday! A pleasant relaxing stony vibe.

Oh...and what else?! How about this beautiful lady! I now have some Candida in my stable (ode to the Donkey)!

Quick pre-game pics before transplant.

Outside for a preventative foliar treatment

And now for the transplant! She got put into a 2 gallon fabric pot with a 3:1 mix of 'Big Rootz' and worm castings.

You are seeing a mix of @DYNOMYCO , @GeoFlora Nutrients , Soil Activator, and Mosquito bits. This got topdressed with mostly worm castings and more 'Big Rootz'.

She was looking happy this morning!

Have a peaceful and loving evening folks. I'll be doing my best to do the same...

and nicely done to take the lean out of the damn thing on the upcan!
She was only leaning a teeny weeny tiny bit. Made me want to bonsai her. Still may do it

So I'm going to let her grow some new legs and branches for the next month or so. Then get some new cuts to start prepping for flowering and for the outdoor garden. One of the clones will likely be getting a spot in the garden bed! Excited to see a monster CBD plant in my garden.

My biggest hurdle in my mind is my space. Not having a dedicated spot for mother plants (working on a plan).

How often are you getting new cuts off moms to keep the genetics going? Then you just toss/give away duplicates depending on the success of the clones?

Which leads me to my next questions. My intent with my current baby tweens is to get clones. At what point is it a safe bet to take a couple clones? I know they may be too small now but I'd like to get a couple early on, root, then flip. Maybe I don't need to do that though if I just keep vegging and let them tell me their sex in a month or two. Not really sure...

They look good, Baked. Congrats on the new plant and bud! Way to go, @InTheShed !

Depends on whether I feel like root pruning or not. If I don't then when it gets rootbound, and if I do then when it gets rootbound again after root pruning. How long that takes will depend on how much light it's getting.

I'd say as soon as you think you can get one of the lower nodes to root. Some folks have luck with some pretty short cuttings!
Way to go, @InTheShed !
Thanks HG!

Actually, no direct light right now. All ambient from the other lights and reflections off the side walls. Getting a range of 200 ppfd on the top and about 300 ppfd on the side facing the lights. Closer to 100 ppfd on the dark side of the plant only getting reflections. My plan was to just rotate her and see how she does with that. Pretty soon, those lights are going up higher anyway to accommodate the other plants and get even coverage to the whole tent. So I guess not too much light that it would force a ton of growth right away. In another few weeks, that may change.

Thanks HG! Truly a blessing.
Be careful while you're out! Come back to the girls safe!
Hey '82! Made it home safe and sound. Not too bad of a day...yesterday...oof. Big Sur is on fire again and less than 1/2 mile from one of my sites. Looking at active fire/smoldering hot spots on hillsides across a small canyon from where I was working...nerve wracking to say the least. Had some good winds come in which got us scared but it ended up shifting the fire and smoke away. That had added a wee bit of stress to the days but otherwise...just trying to keep my vibe right. Thanks girlie!

A couple days behind. Rough past couple of days but doing my best to handle it and just keep a good vibe. There were a few that did not get the best of me yesterday...oof! I'm such an a-hole sometimes.

Thrips are still being an issue. Urghhh...

In this instance, the entire tent will be getting a dose of a completely different spray. It is an organic mix of essential oils and bugs absolutely HATE it!

Well...uhhh...I do believe this is about the time to chuck this into the worm bin. I have had no luck with these genetics either. Haaa Haa.
I love photoperiods!

She was looking a little sad today. Had a chat with @InTheShed , and I'm going to look forward to her bouncing back in a few days. She lulled me to sleep with a couple days of happiness. I think the roots are actually starting to stretch into the wetter soil and as he said, "wet feet".
I'd like to moisten the top 1" of soil. And then mulch. Thoughts about a light drench knowing the rest of the pot is still damp?

Hey baked. Just got all caught up on your journal. If I could smoke still I’d light one up right now. You got a lot of different plants going that’s awesome! I’ve never tried brothers Grimm so I’m excited to see your results and see if they will be put on my wish list for next time. Cinderella 99 has been one I’ve wanted to grow for some time. I usually go with what’s available at the local shops but I may look to the inter webs sometime in the future. Plants are looking beautiful and healthy my friend.

Looking at your plants has me so excited to get mine going. I plan on starting them tomorrow after work! My dad always used the paper towel method too. I usually soak them for 12-24 hours then straight into the rapid rooters in the dome until I see roots out of the cubes. Red solo cups then 1-2 gallon pots. I’m hoping they can last in the 2 gallon pots until may. I don’t really like transplanting from anything bigger than that.
