BakedARea's Cultivated Blessings: A Myriad Of Genetics & Shenanigans

Such a positive energy filled thread. I enjoy visiting your cultivated blessings, Baked. Happy growing to your lovely girls

They look really nice BA, enjoy that gsc oil
Thanks man! This oil is wonderful. I wish it was a bit stronger though. Not a bad thing either though. Otherwise, it is a super chill high and relaxing. Helps ease the tension and relieves some inflammation. Some much needed relief. Going to capsule some of it up and see how the inflammation reacts to more consistent micro doses. Possibly multiple times a day without getting too baked.
Lots of delicious ways to lose your memory. And guava too.
Ohhhh yeah! I'm still not certain how the hell I'm going to do it with all these flavors...but I'm going to do it! They seriously hooked it up!
And the oil has been good. Very rich and flavorful. The baked part...extra bonus! Haaa haaa
Keen to see how these genetics turn out for you!
You're telling me Porky! So excited to see these plants in their maturity. And eventually, hopefully find at least one winner of each variety and then select a few to keep as mothers. Still crossing my fingers for at least one female of each of the regulars. I'd like to have some clones going of each for a while until I can say whether I want to keep it around in my stable (ode to the mighty large member known as DAWN-key DICK).
They're getting that shine to them!
:circle-of-love: I love them!

Hey '82! Thanks for swinging in. I'm really trying. My everyday BS can be heavy and it admittedly takes a toll on me. I can be a negative person to some folks. I try my best not to be here. It is hard to be negative on this site though because of how much love and respect and freely shared you know. I want to be a good pillar. Not a frowny upside downy face ya know?! You help bring amazing vibes here amiga! :hugs:

You would never know Baked. You are constantly bringing good energies here. Always a smiley face, Baked. If I can help give you one, that makes my day worthwhile

Good morning everyone! So last night, I was able to get into the tent and check on the babies. Almost all of them had sucked up most of the water from yesterday morning's drench. So basically 15 hrs. I had also put a a little water in the tray for humidity. Ended up putting enough that they were able to access that too. The only one with "overly" saturated roots was the Space Queen. She still looked happy as a clam though.

Anyway, I thought long and hard and decided it would be best to just get the transplanting done. I hunkered down and took my baked ass time getting it all done! My flawed brain, told me to wait until another day. Told my brain to eat some worm shit and shut up.

They have all have shown similar growth and drinking. I am glad I did not have to stagger their transplant. They all showed similar root structures and had roots starting to circle on all of them. A few sample root porn pics...

I am definitely a "diy soil" kind of guy. I LOVE mixing my soils. But, I need to understand and admit to my limitations. I need to find a soil mix I really like that I can rely on to be consistently solid no matter when or where I buy it. I have wanted to try the Soil King 'Big Rootz' super soil mix for a while. It boasts to be able to take a plant to harvest. I have my reservations about that honestly. Here is a quick look.

I also picked up a bag of Empire Builders 'Producer's Blend' mix. Another one I have wanted to try. My observations in the quality, consistency, and ingredients points me toward preferring the 'Big Rootz' soil...like a lot more!

My goal with this transplant is ultimately to find some future mommas. I would like to keep them as content and not wanting for as long as possible in these 1 gallons. I know they are going to quickly outgrow these containers at the rate they're going. Plus they are known heavy feeders based on insights from the breeder.

I decided to include additional amendments to keep things running smoothly and add to the soils nutrient buffer for the microbes. Here is a new calcium supplement (and LOTS more) that I will be trying out in my smaller indoor soil grows. I included some pics of the pamphlet in case anyone is interested in reading up about it. Had anyone ever tried this Kelzyme product from Element XX? I cannot say I have seen it here but it came highly recommended from a grower I trust far more than my own understanding of soil and microbes.

I also included an extra serving of @GeoFlora Nutrients into the pots. I filled them about half way and then amended with some GF 'Veg' and some of the Kelzyme.

After I backfilled around my dummy pot, I finished up with the Kelzyme and GF 'Veg' around the edges. I also included some @DYNOMYCO to inoculate the soil edges and encourage those roots to grow laterally.

Oh...and a liberal dosage of DynoMyco again around the roots of course! Cannot say enough how much I love this mycos product.

And now to finish up the other 7 babies. I decided on changing it up a little and test out 2 different commercial soils and also 2 different pots. I had some 1 gallon fabric pots, that have the velcro sides for "easy" transplanting. So I picked 3 candidates for the fabric pots and the rest got regular plastic nursery 1 gallon pots.

Your plants are looking great, Baked. I'm happy taking your meds, tending your garden and hanging out here on 420 Magazine help you with your stress. :hugs:

Looking good. Love seeing healthy roots :yummy:
Thanks Chief! I love happy roots too.

Thanks HG! Yeah...every little bit helps ya know. Today is going to be a chill day. Took a morning dose of oil a couple hours ago. Now sitting here just reading and typing away. Ignoring the thousands of other things I could be doing.

Happy Saturday 420 Fam!

Plants are looking happy today. Doesn't seem like the transplant caused too much stress. I'm glad to see that. I was a tiny bit worried I watered them too much. I purposely did not want to water too deeply but I still worried. After seeing them this morning and seeing them looking perky made me feel better.

They got a another round of Ecoworks foliar yesterday (day later than originally planned). I was a little bummed to still see thrips yesterday (prior to the spray). But as with some treatments, it does take some time for it to kill off the life cycle.

They looked a little sad from the transplant yesterday morning but not horrible.

Post foliar spray.

Here they are this morning. Definitely looking better and no signs of thrips.

A couple quick pics of the freaky node and unfurled leaf. It looks to be recovering. I need to get some better profile pics...I know I already said that.

Have a happy weekend!

Everything looks great, Baked even the one with the funky leaf. ;)

Thanks HG! Yeah, today it looks much better.

It's interesting that the opposite leaf got huge, compared to other leaves. Possibly to compensate for the unfurled/damaged leaf? Somehow it knew that it needed the extra surface area for energy? Someone with a much greater understanding of the plant physiology could probably confirm. Must have something to do with the hormones.

Or maybe...:smokin2:...

They are looking happy...me...not so happy. I'll have to be completely honest. I was a little irritated to still see some adult thrips this morning. I was hoping that two treatments would have killed them off by now. Then it is a matter of knocking back the life cycles (eggs) for another couple weeks. I have a few more doses of the Ecoworks EC that I will continue to try. I'm not worried about it. I just prefer a faster turn around time. Such is the life of using a neem product. My issue is that in order to end the life cycles promptly, you need it to wipe out the egg laying adults in one round. At least that is my hope with spray on products. I may need to give the mulch a more solid spray too. I've only misted it lightly in the past two applications. Next application will be a tad bit heavier.

Oh...I forgot to include this baby earlier.

Which brings me to another question...I still have no idea if this will end up being a female. Regular auto seed. I should probably drop some more just in case. So my question, would you go into the final container from here or up one size (1 gal) more before the final container (3 gallon)?

All the auto growers I know say to plant your autos in their final pots so they have less stress.

This is what I heard. Then I came here and seen everyone repotting haha. I am doing 2 of my first autos this run. I planted into the 0.5l pots as they fit in my germinator. But they are going straight from the starter to a 7 gallon cloth pot. I usually repot the girls twice but the autos I will do just once. Just hope this doesn't stress them out too much. I'll be very careful! :)

I read that for severe or reoccurring issues spray every 5-7 days for up to 1 month! Idk if that helps!? As for autos, I don't go up past 3gl for the size I want them so they go from their starter 5.5 in pots to their 3gl homes at around 2 weeks

Gonna be some big autos in those 7 gl!

I really hope so! Lol. They are just being put in the tents while they veg. I'll be vegging the first tent for 7 week then second for the same. Hopefully they will be done by then :)

@7 weeks the autos? Under that light, week 4 lol  autos can take a while though in all honesty

Thanks for the insights @Krissi1982 & @Moony . I was thinking 3 gallon max for this one. All I have right now are regular autos, not feminized. I have seen a couple folks uppot twice if memory serves me right. I was thinking this little one straight to a 3 but that would be a ton of extra soil and moisture. It will have to be a slow transition for me when it comes to the watering.

If this auto ends up being a male...urgh. oh well I guess.

I have more auto seeds to try. Still not certain on my space which is a slight concern.
