Last night the ladies met the shears. I setup the bud wash per Doc's instructions. A cup of lemon juice and a cup of baking soda in about 7 gallons of water. Two more tubs with clear water for the rinses.
First up: MTF
Last pose
Here is one of the nugs
It made the longest row, probably the most weight too
Vanilla Kush was next
Of all the strains I've grown, this one has the most hollow stem
Here is one of the nugs
Next up - Cherry Berry
..And the row gets longer...
And one of them all
Ill give them a weigh in a week or so. So far I think the production on the vertical light method is better. It seems like the light penetration in the canopy produced more low flowers. I liked the BRIX method, and learned a ton during this grow. Next time I'm moving to 7gal fabric pots instead of 5. Finally, I'll screen them too.
RC - 71.4g
BCB - 83.8
MTF - 82.1
BVK - 56.2
4g of early trimmings

I'm disappointed in the yield, but surprised that BCB surpassed everything else. The nugs were a bit airier than I expected. My hunch is that they would have firmed up if they were not fighting mites and the light was dialed up to 600w. On the bright side, the smell is terrific from every bag. All are quite distinctive and I'm looking forward to sampling the variety. Next time I'm confident that the changes to the configuration will bring on better yields and a healthier grow.
Ill have some jar pics in a week; the nugs need to cure in the bags for a while. Oh.. I have four big bags of trimmings; mostly really nice sugar leaves. That should make some fine RSO. Thanks for the support, encouragement, and advice throughout this journal. I really appreciated it!!!
Ill make a couple more updates before closing out the journal. Please sign the guestbook and let me know you are here.
In the future, whenever you complete a journal, please use the Report Post feature found at the bottom left of every post, so we can be alerted to move it for you.
Hope all is well in your world.
