Total I have 4100 lumens on the space. 2x 2700k @1600 lumens, and 2x 5000k @1600 lumens as well.

I have read that you should preferably have 5000 lumens per cubic foot, so inside a space bucket I was under the assumption that it should suffice....

So found an old lamp that I was able to finagle into some supplemental lighting from the base. Not ideal, and I’ll probably have a couple burn spots on the lower branches, but overall I think it may help out a little. I’m just using the two 450 lumen 2700k bulbs that I switched out with the two 1600 lumen 5000k bulbs. Hoping for the best.

FelipeBlu absolutely. I’m going to install a makeshift watering line that runs around the ring of the pot. PVC tube capped at the end with small downward facing holes. Then ran up to an upside down bottle with the bottom cut off. Simple yet effective at limiting the dangers.

Got the watering hose installed. It just a piece of clear tubing I zip tied in a ring about an inch and a half from the main stem all around. I had used a hot nail head to melt the holes into the hose about an inch apart, making sure afterwards to pick out any stringers and drops of melted plastic. They face down into the soil all the way around.

The hose runs straight out a hole and fits airtight into the tip of a squeeze bottle cap I threw on an empty liter bottle. So I cut the bottom off the bottle and will just flip it and dump my feeding solution in, letting gravity pull it down and evenly around the base of the plant. That way I don’t have to worry about accidentally dumping water onto my newly added side lighting. I forgot to take a pic but I will during the light phase tomorrow. What I DID take pics of are some of the nicer flowers.

I’m seeing purple stems, which could be genetic, or could indicate a need for more potassium. But if it’s a deficiency, it doesn’t look bad otherwise. Am I missing purple elsewhere, like the calyxes?

No it’s only in the stem and leaf stems. You think possible potassium? I thought it was possibly due to the cooler temps at night. It’s been kinda cool in my room the last few weeks at night.

That’s possible too. Probably nothing to worry about.

It went a bit dry the last few days as my father passed away and we laid him to rest Friday. I watered today and added just a little bit more tiger bloom than usual. I water with a 1 liter bottle full and add usually a quarter teaspoon per liter. This watering I added the quarter teaspoon and just a few drops extra along with a quarter teaspoon of molasses.

Much appreciated. He really liked this plant as it progressed, so I’m going to grow it to it’s full potential in his honor. He was a combat veteran who served in Vietnam and he really enjoyed his medicine.

FelipeBlu do you think repotting into a fabric pot at this stage would hurt the plant? It’s in a one gallon plastic pot, and I don’t want it to get root bound, but also don’t want to shock the plant.

Hey there! Cool little setup! Growing your own is always a good feeling. Im very sorry about your father . Re potting a plant during flowering is not really recommended. You want her to concentrate fully on budding and not on recovering. Ill tag along till the finish if you dont mind Happy growing!

Updated pics from this morning. It’s been kinda cool at night in the Midwest. Hoping that’s what the purple coloring is from. You got me wondering about potassium tho.
