Bag Seed 12/12 From The Start

So I peeked in on my girl this morning and she stretched pretty well over the last 2 days! Lots of bud sites with pistils everywhere. I’m hoping they start to fill out soon. I did a pretty heavy defoliation so the lights penetrate as much as possible.

I started this week adding a quarter teaspoon of molasses to the tiger bloom I water with. Hopefully it makes a difference. I do a quarter teaspoon of each in a liter bottle of tap water that I let sit for a day or two to let the chlorine release out of it. No pH checking or anything.
that is one odd looking healthy plant looks a bit like a fern

Well, this is one of those subjects that gets a lot of debate. My position is that the plant spends energy to grow fan leaves, which are basically sugar factories for the plant to be able to grow big buds. If you remove them during veg, the plant will spend even more energy growing more leaves to replace them. I try not to do anything to make the plant waste energy that isn’t going towards big buds.

In my opinion, this matters more than getting light on the buds. Since cannabis is wind-pollinated, good air circulation will also encourage more flowering. As a side benefit, it also reduces the risk of mold.

Let the plant decide when it doesn’t need a leaf anymore, and it will suck all of the mobile nutrients out of it and then discard it.
:yummy:

She looks like she is clawing pretty bad?

Thanks for the details! I never get sick of learning.

I had her propped up closer to the lights than necessary. She stretched about 4 inches over the last couple days so I lowered her down a bit. Hopefully that helps. Also I think it’s a bit dry in here. I’m waiting for my hygrometer in the mail so I can make any necessary adjustments.

I feel ya. I finally got my temp problems under control but my RH is a total nightmare hanging around 20%. Looking into viable options.

Just a quick update. Flowers are kicking out nice now. Grew another 4 inches in the last 2 days. Just gotta keep her healthy and fed.

Noticed some purple coloring on some of the fan leaves. The last few days she has stretched considerably. Around an inch and a half to two inches a night per my measurement.

Just wanted to share a few more pics. Due to her stretch I had to cut and add another spacer to my space bucket. No complaining from me! I also replaced the two 2700k 450 lumen bulbs with two 5000k 1600 lumen bulbs so hopefully the extra light compensated for the added spacer. Other than that, just letting her do her thing, with the acception of some light de leafing to maximize light penetration and limit the number of leaves just resting against the side of the bucket.
