Thank you; I’m honored they picked ME - someone who is only on her second grow! @Jon told me not to fuck it up ;)

I will certainly tag all of ya’ll so you can watch Liv pull an Audrey under that light, cuz thats what I think is gonna happen since she’ll have the light all to herself!

Yeah a topped auto definitely will get a lot bigger that’s a fact !!
Good! I never did top my first grow so I want to see what happens … “Canna Gods - please watch over her when that day comes!”

Guess I’ll be keeping an eye out for that now too! *lol*

Ok - she’ll be on my radar for another 24 hours … already been 24+ so I’m half way there before I’ll feel better!
In 24 hours you'll be asking if you can go higher than full strength.....

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Nah - by the end of next week if all is well, I will just follow the Botanicare feeding schedule and watch out for problems.

I am still trying to decide when she starts drinking a lot, if - in order to keep the water level consistent - I want to add just ph’d water daily until res change OR just continually add the same strength nutrient solution to the bucket as needed. Thats one thing I couldnt find in my first grow journal.

Can't help you there. No hydro experience. Oh, you are using Botanicare? The Grow and Bloom series, right? I used those on my very first grow. They were great! I didn't know it at the time, but looking back those were some nice nutes, I would use them again. Very easy with just the two part. At least the soil version.

Yeah - its really nice, I’m happy with it!

@Jon Aw, I’m sure they know you were messing with me! *I* knew you were! You are not a douche - you are an awesome individual- who I am certainly honored to be friends with (and with everyone else here too!) :)

2021-11-28 - Day 22

Tent temp: 73F
Tent RH: 34% (I know - gotta make more water and refill the humidifier)
Res temp: 67F
PPM: 1290 … static
pH: 5.7 … slight rise
Water level: slight drop

Liv is looking good; seems to be no problem with the new nute strength. She’s 14.5” across and is now 5” high. Third pic shows the node where I’m going to top once its out a bit further; few days I assume?

I did notice a SMALL amount of discoloration in the roots (no smell, no slime); I plan on adding another shot of Hydroguard in the next day or so if no improvement or if it is worse.

She's going to be a beast BabyGirl!

And congrats on being chosen for the new light.

Do well with it! (Which is basically the same advice you received from @Jon). :laughtwo:

If she drinks more than she eats, the TDS will rise (nutrient solution becomes more concentrated). This isn’t a sign to add more nutrients - over a few days, the concentration of some nutrients (that are not being consumed very much) may rise to excessive levels - possibly negatively affecting uptake of other nutrients. In this situation, it is better to just replace the water and readjust the pH. And you would do the same if the water level decreased and the TDS remained the same.

However, if you see that the TDS actually went down (before the addition of replacement water), then the plant is eating faster than she is drinking. In this case, you could replace the consumed nutrient solution with water that has 20-25% of the full nutrient dose added to it. Or just replace with plain water - with the understanding that you are underfeeding..

In any case, once you have replaced 40 to 50% of the initial reservoir volume, you really don’t know the composition of your nutrient solution (probably out of balance) and should replace with a fresh reservoir.

Good topping spot selection in my opinion. You are on day 22 now so I would top that puppy in the next few days like you said. You don't wanna be topping once you start seeing preflowers and you are likely getting fairly close. I always pray for my autos to last in veg forever, but they always disappoint me and start budding instead. Lmao.

@Krissi1982 - Liv is 2” tall from the top of the rooter to the tops of her leaves … short? average? about right? She’s 16 days old
Ummmm somehow I missed this a month ago....so my bad on that one BG!

Tx @FelipeBlu ! The above is kinda what I was thinking, so I’ll just bookmark that puppy for future reference!

Thx @Jon … I know we talked about this a few days back and just kinda thought it was getting to be that time :D

No worries sis - s’all good!!!

Whenever you're ready to snip....snip...
Yeah - I’ll keep an eye on her for the next few days … like @Jon said … dont want to wait too long (the ONE drawback to autos!)
