Some way to hook up hosing directly to the cases to vent outside the tent. Guess there is no way to avoid more heat as the units get bigger and bigger.

I'm sure someone will rig up a ghetto solution sooner or later, but I'd like to see these heat issues addressed in the near future by the manufacturers. Looks like it's going to be needed. :peace:

yup thats my feelings you get that many watts going i dont care what it is a tv,stereo,light or back massager ! its gonna cook, i have a 1000 watt (real watts) receiver that runs my home audio and that 50lb monster blows like a space heater when i crank up the big irish metal! these big lights are no different, they are going to have to start venting these things! right now im keeping 780watts of led cool enough but much more and i would need a bigger exhaust.

thanks bro! im happy with them for the most part,they did not start stretching till the second week started, even the indica dominant plants have at least doubled,im sure im going to have to raise the lights again good thing i have a 7ft tent! i really wanted some gdp nugs for my jars & night time , ah well the hbd should be good and grape 13 is intriguing me, im loving the gen org go box stuff along with my amended coco, shiniest leaves i have had yet!!

I'm interested in what you'll be doing for the GLR on your lights. I'm using the 114's in my 4x4 room, 2 lights and 2 23 watt cfl side lighting/heat generators in my setup. I haven't been getting the stretch you're talking about though.

im running lots of watts be the equivalent of running 9 of the 114's in a 54in x 54in tent, are you in veg or flower? i am 3 weeks since the 12/12 flip tomorrow, im not getting what you mean by

I am in veg, am raising mothers for now. I cut clones about a week ago, so it will be some time before I hit flower. So once you started flower, thats when you got the stretch?

yup thats the time it happens normally except if you have weak or to far away lights, glr makes it where the stretch is minimal and they start actually flowering in a week to 10 days rather than 3-4 weeks, planning for flower is easier takes less time to complete and it saves $, .:rocker:
 
Hey BID...long time eh? Finally got around to sprouting some of the beans I had...source to remain secret....hehehe. Also started prepping the outdoor beds for the transplant. Looks like I will have about 10 or so until they declare, then we shall see. The strains are Big Purple Widow and Purple Berry....Looking forward to seeing what they will do outside. I still haven't got the 54 completely the way I wanted it to look, but it is much better than how it was when I first got it. Still working three, sometimes four days a week, so my time is really spread thin as I find myself slowing down because of the physical wear and tear. I KNOW YOU UNDERSTAND that....Your buddy,

what up g' homie !? damn i was just thinkin' bout you! and up pops a warm breeze lol we are gonna have to hang out this summer! been way to long, as you may have noticed i still have the blue dream! love it to pieces. ahh the pertty 54 cant wait to see it! yup moving slow is something i know all about oh and being busted up lol thank goodness we have cannabis! good seeing you,hope its not so long till the next:rocker:
 
Like you said no matter what its from using watts makes heat, no way around it.
I think you could make a hood to accept the panel and test it out. Maybe take the glass out of n old hood and block off one port, the fan will have to suck out SOME not all but wouldn't it help a bit?
I ran some high end panels two years ago and during the winter it was nice but come summer? "Forget about it" Hey BFAM, sorry to hear about your babies, I tossed the GG#4's and took another round, I can tell its a hard/long cut to root
the cannas are a lot easier

On the subject of heat with big LED lamps. Things are very soon going to change in the world of LED and there design. I have it on good assurance from my source in the industry that things are just about to jump forward in a massive way! :) :) Wish I could say more lol.

you should try dip n grow amazing root hormone i think i could get a 2x4 to root lol i think i grow should redesign the back of the big units with a new back piece that has at least a 4 in standard vent hookup so it could be swapped into an existing system like a cool tube and retro fit all the existing panels rather than some gadget jm2c :rocker: you'll get the gg4 great news on the cannatonics!!

yes i know (wink wink) wish we could discuss it openly but not yet!!:rocker::headbang: i was mostly thinking on the old existing panels that im having heat issues with,but i can manage it with the airstrike inline fan & scrubber setup i have it sucks about 465cfm

these last 2 are the color (well almost its a bit deeper red to the naked eye) of the last hour of the flower tents cycle its my attempt at sunset interesting what you can do with the i-grow light / controller my "sunrise" is deep indigo/blue and transisions into 100% on all 3 channels , i'll try to get pics or a video of that at some point . :rocker: enjoy
