i did some 3/5 and some 2/3 and 1 5/7 , the airstone idea,, would you put them inside the bottom pot? i could see that working,if they were on the outside i would think the bubbles would race along the outside and might not penetrate the cloth, i tried something like that in a bucket with a smartpot inside it and the air refused to go thru the fabric and i had to scrap the project cuz the plant was drowning. but inside might work,,kinda like the airdomes in this new autopot system i have.
 
Just having them inside the tank of water for roots only. Pot sitting on top so light cant get in and just let the roots grow thru the pot and into the water. I thought that would be great. I have a clone in some Hi.brix soil in a 3" net pot inside a small container with a air stone in the bottom to keep the soil moist for the roots to form then transplant into a 1 or 3 gal Smarty.

sounds very interesting im learning hydro now so in the future i can invent some kind of hi-brix/hydro frankenstein system so im interested in hybrid systems you have a journal or pics?
 
BID, I know you said it before, but I can't seem to find it. What rooting hormone do you use? I remember you saying that you think you could even get roots to grow on a 2x4 lol
 
No. I might do one later. I'm having issues with my XOOM tablet after updating the soft ware I can't load pics! It sucks. Wish I had not updated! On the photo upload page it just says "cancel all" I just can't figure it out.
I love your new toy that would be great for the base of the frankenstein, just placing a smart pot on top. Q. How much weight can the base handle?

the one i just love is "dip n grow" its been around a while ,i find it is the fastest root hormone ive ever used seeing root bumps in as few as 3 days and the comfort of seeing 1/8th inch roots in as few as 4 days from the cut its very concentrated and you choose your dilution by how much water you add to the dip cup, great stuff, i think i said i could root a 2x4 in slingblades journal:rocker:

i have a samsung galaxy tab ,had that problem with the reg browser but i dloaded the chrome and firefox browsers and both allow me to see the upload button you might try that:rocker: i imagine the bottom trays could handle about any amount of weight you might use, they are just trays made out of what appears to be high quality plastic.
 
Thanks BID, been using clonex and they have been in the aero cloner for almost 2 weeks. They are just now showing root bumps. Also have super thrive in the water mix. I feel like its taking way longer than it should.

with dip n grow your only supposed to dip them for 15 seconds i go 30 and they root like mad last ones i did in rock wool in a dome a method that never worked real well for me in 10 days they were almost root bound , well you saw the pics right?
 
Yes, that's why I was wondering what you were using. I too had bad luck with rockwool, that's why I'm using the aero cloner now. My clones in rockwool were in for almost 2 weeks and I noticed some yellowing of the leaves so I decided to plant them. As I was planting them one of the clones fell out. There was no roots at all, they were just about dead... But yeah the ones you have in the pics are kicking butt. That's what I was hoping to see with my cloner.

k gang got some new pics of the ladies in flower but first a couple shots of the pollen gathering and a new super cool toy! a 24/7 nutrient monitor courtesy of a new friend and very cool person , this thing is awesome and is a big help at a glance i know all the important info and what i need to do or not do as the case may be, it was easy to setup and calibrate just drop the 2 sensors in the res and hang the main unit on the wall and plug in the power pack, not necessarily in that order ,ok heres pics

i wish!! its not that high tech thats the storage solution for the ph sensor you remove it to instal it in the res, whats cool is if im mixing up some feed i can reach over and pull the sensors out of the res and drop it in what im mixing rather than testing and retesting with a pen, i noticed tonight i need to adjust the ph and ppm,cuz at a simple glance i saw the ph is at 5.3 and the ppms are about 300ppm higher so guess what i know im doing in the morning lol, love our techie world
