base unit over laptop any day of the week.
no laptop will ever beat a big old base unit best vs best, its just not possible. heat management physical capacity, cheapness of repairs.

hell its even a pain in the ass trying to de dust a laptop.
a base unit with a big ass screen with wireles ear/key and mouse, perfect for bed play and who care if you spill a drink on a keyboard...but drown a spanky new laptop and its tears all round, lol.

Sigh. It's really no surprise, though, is it? They don't even bother to hide their hypocrisy from us. Just stick there tongue out and make that raspberry noise while they cover our faces with spittle.

Problem is, only the choir is listening. The preacher has been drowned out by misinformation, outdated thinking, lies and closed minds as far as everyone else is concerned...

Perhaps we need our own "Super PAC"... this seems to be the fuel for democracies engines these days, at least in the good old US of A. We are sorely lacking in "displacement" compared to big pharma and all the other interests that benefit from keeping our home-grown medicine illegal. Think of the drug-testing companies alone - and how much they stand to lose if cannabis gains further acceptance. That's just one of many huge interests that are no-doubt throwing a few bucks toward enemies of our cause. ARGH!

sweet my power adapter came a day early! now to remember all my passwords yikes! i have some new pics, i got all bassman style today hardcore 21 day flower defol and grab twist bend! chemdog is suddenly full of amber! wont be long now .lowered light to 14 inches above canopy pics after i get this compaq up n running!

every one is going bassman on their plants, heck even im at it, i completely stripped one of my flowering plants, and the difference is shocking, the buds seem to of got fatter in just a couple of days, now would they of got this fat without the hair cut, well who knows, but its certainly makes the plant look better, plus i got 4 plants in flower, 2 of each strain grown from clone, so i gave haircut to the one and ill leave the other, then when it comes to harvest i got something to compare it to, but so far so good

damn this doode does not even have bluetooth gotta have my wirless mouse keyboard combo ,rocketfish rocks! but it does ave a 17inch widescreen view hole! i cant wait to start getting parts for my megabadassgeturgameon build sesh! may take a couple months to aqquire the pieces im not going cheap or generic in any way im thinking epox motherboard ,

i went all in on the defol i ravaged all my ladies! they got a good soaking with some superthrive for shock and some bpn seaweed &molasses mix to feed n protect a bit, i know they will be fine i have done supercropping and defol before just not in the extreme bassman style but the plants are in super good health not a sign of defiency or ph or pests the leave are shiny by the time i finished abusing the last one the first one had already started turning to the light!

Bummer on the computer issues bro!!! I think on my 2nd journal that happened to me, my desktop broke and so I was left with a pentium 3 laptop from early 2000's to do my posts and OMG was it frustrating waiting for just the computer to boot..lol I went out and purchased all the makings of a really really sick desktop buying off of Newegg(dot)com and spent about 900$ total...

So for 900$ i got a
AMD 1090T 6 core processer
really nice Asus motherboard
8gb ram
radeon 6670 saphire graphics
550w green power supply
60GB SSD
2 TB internal HDD
Blu ray reader, DVD burner
antec mid size case...

man I have it overclocked at 3.7 running steady with stock cooler... a baddd azzz computer for many years to come :)

If your a gamer and into First Person Shooters/strategy...check out the new game coming out called heroes and generals, I received a beta key and wow...amazing so far for a closed beta...

oh brother ice you know im an egger! half my stuff will come from there and tiger direct im lookin at a minium spec sheet of 6 core amd, eff intel!! im a hardcore amd guy i want 8 gb ram min, dual crossfires min 1gb vram each, dual 3d led 27 in monitors and projector, no less than a tb hdd for storage internal, i want the os on a solid state drive dual booting to win7/kubuntu ,blue ray burner, i already have a 3tb external drive and lightscribe dvd burner, bluetooth mouse n keyboard, and a sound studio for the audio, and i have my eye on 3 different liquid cooling gamer cases to put the whole mess in, will i get all that?,,,,yes eventually, but right now its all about the mb/cpu/ram barebones if you will then ill add pieces every month as i go , once i get started on a build i go till its perfect!

i use linux /kubuntu alot but compatibility makes me use win 7 i have problems with drivers for some of my devices in xp so i have 7, i think 7 is better than vista by far i passed over vista except about 3 months before 7 i got 7 free from m$, ssd's work the same as a red hdd just uber faster and no moving parts to wear out:thumb:

i have a small but very nice studio, mostly beheringer stuff, a drum/bass maching,small drumset, 7 guitars a couple amps,vocal mic,stage mics,couple line6 effects processors, and a pair of wicked m-audio bx5a's, my plan is to get another album or 2 done before i die! it all fits nicely on a large desk and 1 table, oh and a grip of software

I have to agree on Win7, better than Vista...I refused to jump that hoop for Microsoft, I liked XP and waited a year before switching to 7.
I want other people to work their bugs out :loopy: I like the way it works and easily sets up for in home wi fi. I will have to get my Studio 15 fired up here in the near future. I used to teach video editing at the high school I taught at. I have done some editing on this laptop and it is fast and efficient and the processsors and memory available works better together than earlier versions of windows. Did I say I like Win7?:idea::tokin:

Behringer makes good stuff, and engineers sister Co Bugera valve amps like my V5; sweet. A Xenyx 302 sends line to a Mac Mini where Garage Band awaits, if I can do the reading & learning to use :hmmmm: I'm a lazy Gator.
Behringer monitors give me good service for a good price. nice

lmao yes my friend, i know all about solid state stuff...i guess i worded it wrong. i meant have you come up with any unique/quirky/significant uses for the drive yourself, such as my example of it making ram drive redundant ;)
