WOW!! im so very thrilled how well the "vent" i did for the big flower tent is working in tandem with the much greater headroom (heat rises) my thermometers memory says the highest my temp has been in there is 87f the lowest 62f im doing a lil' happy dance inside! i can tell the plants are much happier too,they have started growing again the way they are posing their leaves reaching up,curling just right , im thinking this is gonna be a beautiful flower cycle and a good harvest, i have some pics i know i went over board on the editing but im just so dadgum happy i could poop!

no probs mate, you know the fem seeds your making, are you still using your own silver solution or have you gone and bought some ready made, i am looking into this as we speak, been reading a few guides on it, it sounds pretty harsh on the plants but does get the results we need, plus what i read it can be done on a few bud sites and the rest of the plant will be ok to smoke, but anything that has been sprayed with colloidal silver is poisenus and not for human consumption in anyway, im not at the stage of trying this just yet but im trying to find out what works and what dont, ill be having a read through your journal on it shortly, does it work out cheaper making your own or is it cheaper to buy, are their any pros and cons on making your own

there is a link in my sig on making it, it is MUCH cheaper to make your own, its simple and effective, with other forms of it ,its not just colloidal silver ,they add silver nitrate or something making it toxic, what i make is consumed by ppl all the time (no need for a debate on its safety here i have my belief and experience) for the purpose we are discussing what you do with the plant material after is your business i have no need to use it nor am i afraid to, if your wondering yes i have used the buds after i made seeds,and i have thrown it in to the compost also,
what i prefer to do is this, take 2 clones,1 gets sprayed in full starting before i start flower, the other is the recipient of the pollen
i put both in flower at about 6-8 inches tall,
when the "male" has pollen ,i put both together in a separate area just the 2, and a small fan and light, i have a small box for this, every day i go smack the male around to get pollen floating in the air, i do this for a week or 2, till i can tell the female clone is pregnant,(pistils shrivel and retract caylex's swell)
then i collect more pollen from the "male" and store it in the deep freeze ,after a year i throw it away
the female now full of seed waits a week to return to the flower rm ,2 days before i put her back in i give her a couple good "baths" with a heavy misting of r/o water to neutralize any pollen on her that could affect plants i dont want pollinated
i let her go till i can see healthy seeds splitting open the calyx's or hear seeds rattling when i shake her,usally 3-4 weeks, i generally just compost the "male" purpose has been served
some ppl are concerned about using the bud from the pregnant female so the best time to pollinate is to count backwards from the target harvest date 4 weeks and pollinate then, me i dont care if the buds go to long and are 100% amber those 2 clones had 1 purpose in my mind "feminized seed",
so if the bud left over from the seeded females looks good i may smoke some, (perfectly safe this plant received no colloidal silver at all) but it usually goes into edibles
this is my very purpose driven way its not the only way but it works for me
i usually get 500 or more good looking seeds this way and i get to put that strain in my bank for the future

thanks mate, ill have a good read, what i read before was using the over the counter silver solution to make a female plant all ready in flower start growing male parts, then the pollen was collected from this and then used to pollenate a fem plant, the guide i was reading didnt use the solution till the plant was in full flower, then a couple of buds where sprayed and male sacs grew and pollen was collected, the rest of the plant could be smoked but the buds treated could be harmful to humans, possibly due to what you said the over the counter stuff contains, but like you i dont think id be using the affected plants for anything other than fem seeds, id grow these totally away from the other plants as i have a seperate room i could set up just for this, so im reading what i can before i go ahead, then i can choose a strain i like and get some fem seeds for future grows,
its midnight here now so ill have a read through your other journal tomorrow mate, if your saying your method is safer as it dont contain anything harmfull then id prefer to use your method, id hate to risk harming anything such as my dog due to something poisenus i have put on my plants,

i say my dog as he has managed to sample some of my platns when i wasnt looking, he has not done it again since but their is no saying it wont happen again, a careless moment or i turn my back and he might be near the plant and take a bite, so clearly i dont want to take that risk, using your method i could do this where i am instead of finding somewhere else to do this,

the stuff thats bought over the counter really does stress the plant, well thats the goal isnt it, to stress it so it grows male pollen sacs, ill have a good read before i do anything mate, i seen it in your singature and thought id ask you about your home made method,

the stuff i make i use for many things health related,sore throats (gargle) infection (drink small quantity) i had a infected tooth i did 2 rounds of rx antibiotics and still had it, i drank 5 ml 3 x daily and washed the area 5x a day and it went away never to return, to me its as safe as milk in small quantities,

ill get the coffee on the brew in the morning, its way to late now for me to take all the info in, so ill have a read in the morning and take some notes, if the method you have used is safer then id prefer to go down that road and give that method a try, their is a lot i need to read up on and consider such as what strain to use, and do i use the same strains or cross a strain, its all new to me but im willing to learn and if it means i get a load of fem seeds then this can only be a bonus, is their any reason why this wouldnt work with an auto, i know the veg and flower period is shorted but if i can make a load of auto seeds from a strain i like then thats something im willing to try.

i tried giving you some reps but i got to spread it around first, so thanks for the info and the link, ill have a good read and pick up what i can,

the cream caramel autos im growing now are seeds i made after harvest i started spraying and let it self pollinate ! it took many weeks but i got 4 i know are selfed many others from crossing it with other normal auto strains, at 22 usd for a cca seed i made myself 88 bux worth of fem auto seeds,i did this just to see if i could,and i love the cream caramel knockout night time med, we will see how good they are as the babies grow, its actually important way dealing with the un cloneable autos

so i finaly remembered the dry ice, made the kief but my bag allowed to much plant matter thru and its a really green color i was hoping for that blonde but nope,so im wondering if anyone has experience with what i could do to further separate it, or should do with this stuff,i can tell its loaded with trichs i took a small bit and am trying to make gumby ,or at least float out some of the green matter, it seems to be working, i really dont know what to do with the remainder, i have some 91% iso, a metal coffee filter, and of course butter, im half a mind to just make one hell of a lb of butter and be done with it, brownie mix on the fridge, im not really into hash, its to strong, i am looking for some lower potency strains as we speak since i am scared of most of my bud lol

nevermind advice gang i decided i need a pound of butter, so i threw it all in to the pan, except a small bit that was quite blonde i have been sitting here working thru my grinder, saving that for spiffy, i like brownies :thumb:

mmmcannaannnaaaabutter! my butter looks and smells good i will share a pic soon,i put the leftover dry ice in water and in with the girls, post a short vid of that later, spiffy will be surprised with some browines tonight, maybe post pics of that too,why not, look what i found in the organics section of the store! 6bux i love this stuff on english muffins and a lil' c-butter! and the microbes love it too!

yeah i am a mess! but you love me anyway! i thought the poll was fun, sorry its been a while since i germmed anything, but some are repeats cuz they are not feminized some will die or be slow, im done nursing along weak slow or sick plants, and some will be donated to other patients, and the plan for a couple minutes is not to clone except for 2 to make fem seed like i described for donpaul. i have 3 tents totaling 146 cubic feet of space to fill,26 sq ft and more if i really need it, in the end i would rather have it crowded than wasting light and energy on empty space, also im thinking about taking a grow break after this flower cycle ends, and yes it's all i do ! tv? what means this word "TV"?? i would love you to have some tt-kush it would thrill me to know a friend was growing and testing one of my projects:thumb:
