Auto Topping LED Grow

Your Tyrone looks a lil behind the other 2, can't see in pics, have they started on their 3rd set of true leaves?
Also when do u start feeding Beast?

Shaun the soil will feed the plants for the first 4 weeks easy.so they will only get maybe 2 veg feeds around week 4 or 5 then onto bloom nutes when stretch has stopped;)

Canna thanks.my last grow same soil i didnt feed anything until about week 4 just had there takeroot and multitotal dutch pro.they get a splash of that tmz then just water.the soil is very good stuff;) hope this helps;)

Nice little seedlings beast. Looks like you're adjusting to LEDS easily. Seedlings show more vegetative growth w/ T5's but LEDS will grow way better root systems during seedling stage. Above ground growth is slower w/ LED's w/ very young plants. I've compared often when transplanting photos. Still in rookie stage w/ autos, which is why I'm here to learn. :Namaste:

Brightlight thanks alot and thanks for stopping by.i hope they bring some good overall growth .i see people yield very well off using led,s so hoping i can do same.i got 14 oz dry weight off my last 3 auto run with 600 hps.so i would like to match that with these led,s or more.time will tell;)

Kool, when you do this tomorrow Beast can you run through the process pls mate, re; how much you feed, water etc.

I'm using bio products for this run with the autos, pots are pretty heavy in 11L of soil but wanna give them bio roots at some stage..Cheers Bud

Shaun the morning before they went into the tent each pot held 1 lirte of water each with 1 ml of take root and 1 ml of multitotal per litre.through this week i have just gave them all every evening alittle water on top of soil were dried alittle.its good u dont drench them to.much as i want them to hold another litre each tomorow with just 1 ml of takeroot per litre.then just water from then on for a few weeks;) hope this helps.but i will post a pic tmz when do it for u dude.happy growing;)

Congrats canna on ur baby auto good job.im hoping veg growth isnt 2 slow under led,s in first few weeks as i need sturdy girls to top.first time under led when i have topped autos before always under hps.so hoping it all works out.been thinking i could add a hps to the tent for a week but abit of messing around.i need good strong growth more so than ever in first few weeks for the topping process to work;)

I had good success with veg growth under LED's. I used the Mars Hydro 96 x 3W the first time I purchased an LED, and the plants did wonderfully. I used them for the Auto's as well on the last grow. I really didn't notice them being slower or less lively, but I wasn't really noting that either. They did have some awesome root systems. :)
I love my LED lights and plan to have my entire grows from start to finish with them from now on.

Well, I have no base line for any type of grow but my Dark Devil auto has been under LED since germination directly into a 5 gal smart pot. She didn't start fast but busted out last week. She will not be topped so I will have my baseline. Here are progression photos which I hope you can see well enough to understand how slow it was, then boom. It may be the LED, it may be the start in such a large amount of mix or it might just be the pheno.

Photos are about every 5 days through Day 35

Thanks magicjim i need much faster growth rate than that lol.if my mission is going to work and cnt let the crowd down;) how do u mean ur beans had a rough germination could u explain;)

Great progression photos MagicJim!

I will try to do the same with my new kid and see how it goes. That does seem to be slower than what I would have thought, during the first 3 weeks or so.

My girls in veg are under HPS because my LED's are in use for flowering, so I have nothing to measure right now.
:)

Bean was 12 hrs in water and 3 days in damp paper towel. With tap root about 1/4 inch it was placed in the mix and kept damp. It took 5 days to pop from mix and seemed to not grow at all for another 5 days. Now I'll explain here that day 2 it got very dry and I believe the LED almost burned it although probably any light could have burned a dry seedling. LED was always at least 24 inches or greater above.

I love my LED, Mar-Hydro II 900 but I really think seedlings are better under CFL.

Canna u need to journel her;):thumb:

You mean post pics here of the progress of P. Purple?

I was just thinking that I'm going to let the time lapse video go throughout the life cycle entirely from sprout to harvest time. I've always wanted to do that with just one plant, perfect opportunity to try it out. ;-)

Now that's making me miss my T5 lamp that I had to sell. LOL

Yeah, they did seem to have a rough start. :-(
