Auto Topping LED Grow

Magicjim i leave in water for 24 hours then into tissue for 48 hours then pot her and normally above soil day after potting;) works same with every auto bean i germ;)

Iv set up a smaller tent housing a 600 hps and a fan. im thinking put them in there through the day just so i get the growth i need for topping these young auto,s .first time using led and i kno my hps has more power than 700 watt led.so thinking they can have abit of hps tmz;) any suggestions welcome.i need good growth to prove my point on topping autos see;) ha ha

You mean post pics here of the progress of P. Purple?

I was just thinking that I'm going to let the time lapse video go throughout the life cycle entirely from sprout to harvest time. I've always wanted to do that with just one plant, perfect opportunity to try it out. ;-)

Awsome idea and post here also i dont mind.im sticking with led from start to finish with this grow and thats final ha ha;) all about learning so be it lol.the little tent is gna be a veg room;) happy growing every1:)

Shaun the morning before they went into the tent each pot held 1 lirte of water each with 1 ml of take root and 1 ml of multitotal per litre.through this week i have just gave them all every evening alittle water on top of soil were dried alittle.its good u dont drench them to.much as i want them to hold another litre each tomorow with just 1 ml of takeroot per litre.then just water from then on for a few weeks;) hope this helps.but i will post a pic tmz when do it for u dude.happy growing;)

Ok Beast, a lil confused now as I thought using biobizz soil I wouldn't have to water as much, say like every few days or when the pot dries out more. So are you saying its better to water every day? :hmmm:

I will do that. I've done time lapse on sprouts before, and one showing the actual roots growing and searching for moisture. it was pretty cool. :)
I can't wait to see how the little bit grew during the day today. Lights out right now, so can't check till morning. :-(

I thought about naming her PP... using the P's in Pyramid Purple...........but that's probably not a good idea. :laughtwo:
So, I'll go with "Lil' Purp".

Shaun u dont have to water everyday if u dont want to.im just extra loving to my babies as i said before i gave them a litre of water each the day they went in the tent. then i have just gave tiny bit of water each day were soil was dry on top of pot making sure i dont give them to much to wet over the first week.as today is week 2 i want them to hold another full litre each.thats just how i do it mate .i probably dont have to water everyday but like to make sure the young have no reasons to cry ha ha.hope this hepls shaun mate;) even when my plants are huge i still go by a litre per plant.i like watering my ladies everyday as shows me how more hungry they get as the process goes on;)

Ok Beast I think I get where you're coming from, you like to keep the soil moist. Is this because they are autos? This is what I asked Doc Bud

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I'm still pretty new to all this growing.
This was his answer.
Yes! Especially at the seedling stage. You want those roots to seek out water, grow fine root hairs and all that. At the same time, by restricting water you'll get nice thick stems and few leaves. Just what we want.

If I may chime in...

I will start be saying Doc is an inspiration and a driving force in the community and I look up to him with tremendous respect....

Now I say this.. Shaun docs growing style is probably the furthest thing you can get from the way the beast and I grow.... the advice you get from doc is going to vary greatly from asking me or beast a question in MOST situations.

How many pics of massive autos have come from using docs methods?

Nice healthy smaller stated yes...

Cheers Atrain. So what do you advise? Obviously looking to grow some big bud with the autos I got going..

I never ever ever want fewer leaves on an auto... in Veg you want as many leaves as fast as possible... a auto doesn't have the convenience of veg for as long as you want to get the form ypu want...

Put it this way with autos... leaves are like the engine of a car... the light and nutrients are the gas.... if you run a 4 cylinder you can have all the gas in the world but you can only burn it and propel the car so fast... gonna take longer to get where your going. (Just fine with photo plants)...... with auto's the more leaves the bigger the engine that uses the fuel to go faster... you put a v8 in that thing you can really burn the fuel more affective in turn getting where you want to be faster.... this is how autos work.. like little rockets.. ypu want many leaves quick to fuel extremely fast growth ... then once the stretch stops and they flower you can trim a little if you want

Ok, I'm in a 11L sq pot, 5 days old, pot is still heavy & soil still moist. In biobizz same as Beast. At what point do I give them more water? How much? All help & info appreciated..Cheers

Good info been stamped down top work growers.atrain good lad;) glimmer welcome good to.have u along;) and shaun i keep soil moist at all times yes at seedling stage .as they grow older u water less but more at a time.good ad ur friend said to lets roots dry out inbetween feeds allowing oxygen to ur roots.but a seedling doesnt have roots its busy making its root system so u have to keep her nice and wet during this crucial stage.and that s how i feed all my plants pheno or auto hope this helps.happy growing every1;)
