Auto Growers Unite: A Community Thread

Question. I have 2 photos growing and added to autos to the mix. My photos will be getting put on 12/12 in about a week or so. Will that make my autos flower. Kinda worried. Want to get the most of my autos not a couple of grams because they flowered to soon

It will not make them flower, they will do that on their own schedule more or less regardless of the light schedule, but as others mentioned, yield will usually suffer with autos on 12/12, so while they will not flower 'too soon' there will likely be a noticeable impact.

If your going to finish it out there then outside but I wouldn't getting it back in a to be bringing pests into your tent

Thank you!! Hey, so I can really do either, I was just wondering which might be better with the days getting shorter, 18/6 with the leds, or whatever natural light I can get outside? Which do you think. Mind you I'm in Florida so I don't worry bout cold. Lol

If you can finish at 18-6 indoors I'd go with that. Pests can be a big problem outdoors

Hot and humid as balls here too. The grow space still gets up to 84, and humidity goes down to 30 ish at times. I put wet towel over floor fan , & humidity only went up to 40's.. still better than 93 avg temp and jungle humidity I guess.

These are some plants that came about by finding them in my buds from first & only grow. Never even thought to look for a male or hermie, at the time I wasn't aware autos could do that. Anyway, I didn't label anything, so I don't know what these are. The grow was of early miss auto & NYCd auto from cks. I over watered during the beginning. Dogs knocked over 2, chewed on one for just a second till I hollered at her, and the spear had no problems except wilting & needing to be held up during first couple weeks. I recycled soil from first grow, & using an ph per gmb, + additives, & I pretty much feel like I've wasted time n nutes to these runts.

50 ish days from sprout.
Here are some xmas cookies photos...2 weeks old, but stunted. Already transplanted once to bring soil up...stretched like crazy. Then managed to knock it over 3 days later while jockeying them around the yard....

And here is the last early miss auto bagseed & a white widow photo. They're both almost 2 weeks also

I did something similar with my last grow.

I had a zero to hero in 59 days auto(my first) that only started flowering as I lowered my light schedule at about 72 days. I didn't go straight from 19/5 to 12/12, but gradually dropped it down over a fortnight. So, alongside my photos, my auto flowered for its entirety at 12/12. She was accidentally topped and LSTd and gave a little over 3 ounces. The buds were not as dense as I would have liked but that could be down to the strain.

If you got 3 ounces off of 12/12 on an auto I'd be happy with that. My last auto running 15/9 only produced maybe a ounce and a half. I just don't want to switch to a 12/12 and get like 10 grams. That would be depressing

15/9 sounds more like a Zappa time signature than a flowering schedule. :)

And care to explain this bizarre time? My 19/5 was simply a swivelling digit at the traditional 18/6 V 24/0 crowd :)

No particular reason. I ran those light schedules based upon when I wake up for work and the latest I could possibly get home some days. So I just ran with it even if I got home early I would still let them run their course

Life is full of such "It suits me" quotes. I have come to the conclusion that the most dexterous and flexible human being is also fundamentally the laziest, but don't think I am denigrating you. I am loudly and publicly applauding you. Humanity evolved because of its inherent laziness not in spite of.

These are pics of a bagseed auto grow from April. I grew early miss & NYCd autos & got these seeds. Harvested early, so I wonder if that had anything to do with the stature/development of these plants. 55 days old. Guess I'll keep going with it, but damn I hate wasting nutrients for a couple grams. Errrrrrr.

Bro top top top!!!!!!! I've been experimenting with topping autos twice and I'm having great results!!! Slows down the plant but getting 3-4 ounces per plant consistently

Well u gotta figure your gonna loose 8hrs a day of light on the autos so I'm a month that's 240 hrs of less light. The light change will not throw the auto into flower any faster it'll just diminish the yield and maybe slow down the growth

Which nodes do you top at? How many hrs of light are you giving them?
I have 2 outdoor so lack of light to regenerate, makes me nervy

Yeah, inside is not an option.
I'm nature's little pawn.

Don't worry too much for bugs. We've already gone to war before.

My girls will be starting with 14hrs and ending just under 12. We'll see how it goes lol

Thanks hi. Hope all is well. I did top two, & left 2 be. That's nice #s your pulling man. Your plant training is killer. Have a link to where you found it?

Same here blaze. I have no options for lighting more than nature. At least not until it gets cold enough to put my tent on covered porch. Lights raise temps by 15-20 degrees. So I need temps between 40-60 deg outside to be comfortable. And we get many days in dec with high in the 80's.
