Auto Growers Unite: A Community Thread

Thanks my friend!

Yeah I'm keeping it at 12/12 at the end of the day if the auto takes longer to harvest so be it. No rush here but I can't keep vegging forever.

I am running a tent setup with LED. If I keep vegging one plant will cover another plant.

I figure if the cheese is a photo it's a good time to switch because once king tut (week 4 of flower I believe..will have to check my notes) is finished I can have that Cheese plant in there all alone during the most critical and important part of her life where she can grow out as wide as needed. That's my plan now..not saying it will work haha

Just really strange...i ordered Cheese Auto Fem, packaging was labeled as that but it's not a auto..im kinda happy about that now lol

Did they ever reply to yer contacting Them about the Seeds NOT being auto's

So I am more of a original bean type guy I like when genetics are not messed with to much but of course wanted to give autos a chance for a quick run while veg out my clones how do they look these are red poison, bloody skunk, and Pineapple Express

I wrote them an email and it came back as the wrong address which is strange. Its a good seedbank, just need to find another way to get in touch with them. I doubt they will do anything anyways

Seed was from Canuk Seeds

They have a contact form on their website. I will use that with photos to see what they have to say

Just messaged them, now the waiting game. I will let you know what they have to say

Man now I'm all sorts of confused. I was told by others the cheese plant is not an auto but the king tut was.

Now your saying it's an auto...king tut is flowering. Cheese is not..but I'm seeing activity.

Since switching the lights I been getting crazy growth from cheese...the one not flowering yet...this is her stretch perhaps?

Here was yesterday

The middle just blew up on her so much in 1 day.

For real man I'm so confused now. I'm watering her as we speak and gonna do a mini flush just to be safe if it is nutrients causing any burns.

Was also told once I switch to not go back due to hermies during flowering.

And I only changed the light times once. 4 days ago. She was running 20/4 light for 10 weeks without flowering or showing sex. For an autoflower that seems long. I'm looking at 5+ months for an autoflower start tonfinish.

I am not saying you are wrong, I'm just providing reasons why I made the switch.

If cheese is not an auto that means I have a photo and an auto in the same tent. Not ideal but the photo would get 1st priority due to yield differences.

Oh my bad bro I thought you said they were both autos. Your on track then my bad bro lol

Well it was supposed to be an auto. Thats what I ordered and that's what the packaging said..but after 10 weeks with no signs of sex or flower I think they got the seeds mixed up. No way this is an auto IMO...now let's see what I can do with it lol

looks to me that you indeed have an auto and a photo ... by switching to 12/12 you said the cheese exploded overnight ... sounds to me like she is in stretch and you should start looking for preflowers that should be there but can be microscopicly small
dont switch back to 18/6 cause that will fuck up your photo ... which will be the highest yielder i guess ... although ive seen amazing harvests from autos on youtube... the auto will still do ok but the buds will be airier cause of less light ...

I know I won't get a plant that I can harvest out of it, but I'm very new to growing and if I can get roots I'll count it as a win.
I'm also a pretty new grower and did buy supplies for cloning in january. Turns out I haven't bought the right things so now I ordered some good stuff. We'll see how far I'll get this time.

simple mathematics tell me that the cheese is 100% photo... lets say she starts flowering after 10 weeks with a flowerperiod of 7-8 weeks ( cheese is 80% indica? wich implies the shorter flowerperiods) so that should amount to 18 weeks or 4.5 months ... up north where the ruderalis strain comes from there is no way in hell you will get a 4.5 month growseason ... you get at best 3 months ...
now i do not say that there arent auto strains out there that take that long i mean ... crossing and back crossing of ruderalis with 100% sativas so you will en up with at least 80% sativa and 20% ruderalis will for sure push the age to mature and the flowerperiod in to multiple months for each stage ... but these strains are manmade as equatorial sativas will never cross naturally with subpolar ruderalis

ever thought of monstercropping ?? even if you suck at cloning it can still get you monster plants ...

taking clones from flowering plants and revert them to veg ... they will respond with massive production of side shoots wich will turn them into beasts ... even if you get only 2 out of 10 clones to survive you will still get monster yields ... at least ... according to what i read ;)

Haha that's a nice idea! But only downside is that I do not grow any photo's right now. I am going to but I can only have 5 plants and I'm sticking to it. I have an Northern Lights autoflower and she is about 5 weeks in fower and still about 5 to 7 to go but I will plant a nice photo after her.

I 100% agree with you. I have done the math as well. Tomorrow is start of week 11 and I think there are a couple pistols visible..will see if I can get a clear shot later for you.

Red flags were raised on week 5 to 7 when there was no action but King Tut was showing her hairs and starting to form and stop growing/stretching.

The amount of foliage cheese has been producing was another indication. Very rapid and shoots keep growing up from the middle...like last night there were flowers on the branches then the next day those flowers were like a inch in the air reaching for that light. I have been using LST on the plant since it was possible. With the size of her I can still ponytail if I wanted but tonight I may trim some bigger fan leaves to get light on the covered areas and get some airflow there. Bigger leaves seem to block it. I do have 3 fans in there with them. 2.5 x 2.5 space and 2 plants is a mess haha

Now that I know she is a photo I'm excited because I know she will yield a lot more if I take good care of her, which I have been..she is very healthy looking.

King Tut the autoflower is short but I'm ok with that. As for the buds airy will do..better than no smoke right :) but knowing when King Tut is done I can have cheese in there all by herself. It's just exciting know g I have a monster in my room...now I need to come up with a name for her :)

Was told to start clones but I dont have room for more than 1 plant and this cheese is a monster size for what I have to grow in. Only got about 5.5 feet height and 2.5 width and height. It's bad enough with king tut in there but 2 cheese plants will be a headache for moving and watering.

I flooded the tut today with water. Took me like 4 hours or more to flush her, only did it because of the but s i have had..not sure if it was from the light or where she dropped ph to 5.5 and nutrients couldn't get absorbed..or calcium/mag due to low ph. Runoff water was 5.4 after the flush was done it was 6.3 with 1/2 nutes added during final liters of watering. Added about 32 liters to 5 gallons. Not a full flush but something to get her on the right path.

Here are 2 snaps I got of the plants today

Doing some minor trimming of leaves..not wanting to remove green leaves but that light and extra airflow will help. If she is stretching I rather have those small bud sites not restricted from light to kick in with the rest of the stretch.

Very useful info Ptero I really appreciate you kind help to back up my theory it is a photo. If you were here I would reward you in the end with some "karate lessons" lol

Any other advise or recommendations from you or anyone else I am all ears (digitally speaking). This is my 1st time growing, my first 2 plants and I love what I have been learning so far

I am gonna guess 5 months to finish. 8 weeks in minimum. Week 11 starts that leaves me at 19 weeks if she flowers in 8 weeks. 1 week shy of 20 weeks (5 months)

Lights went out 35 minutes ago...tomorrow I will get that photo of possible pistol and do some trimming...

Tomorrow is a big day for Canada...1 year countdown to nationwide cannabis legalization

Be back tomorrow..nothing else to be at now so I'm gonna go get high lol
