Auto Growers Unite: A Community Thread

thats quiet a heavy defoliation you did on that auto ... how did she react to it ?? does it work for you ?

I did it because 1) larger fan leaves started to yellow/die over a week's time so I figured drop them. 2) I wanted to stress the plant a little to see if that would bulk up the buds (I was impatient, of course). 3) All the caterpillars in the area are out and about and I wanted a clearer view of the stalks/buds so as to grab any off the plant.

Did it work for me? Definitely. Plant is happy and buds are bigger and ready in a few days for harvest. Also gave it a little shake tonight and a caterpillar fell from somewhere on it, so that worked as well!

the good thing about modern autos is that they can grow into big fuckers and yield higher then the earliest autostrains strains...

Big indeed. My 45 day Northern Lights Auto (CKS) just started (really) flowering but their frame is almost 50% bigger than the other NLA @ 105 in a 3 gallon pot (which was too small imo, these next ones are in 7 gallons). I want them to beef up for 2-3 weeks and I will throw up some photos.

KING TUT (Tutankhamon) - WEEK 8 - DAY 51 - Week 3 of Flower

So here is a photo of my Tutankhamon Autoflower. We just entered week 3 of flower as of yesterday and today we are still seeing development of buds at the bud sites.

I have done more LST on them but plan on cutting back on this very soon and just let her grow. I was told I have another 2+ weeks left of stretching and to keep her tied down so until I see the stretching stop we will continue to do LST on them.

I don't plan on removing any leaves at all and I want the plant to get all the energy it possibly can from the leaves that it has grown. Once yellow they will be removed.

Here she is:

I have flattened her again last night and hope we get more growth happening rapidly. Ran out of twist ties so tie her down and this will be done later tonight when the wife gets home from work with my supplies :)

CHEESE - WEEK 8 - DAY 51

Now this is the one I am not sure about. It is an autoflower fem Cheese seed from Canuck Seeds. We are week 8 since sprout, day 51 and I do not see any signs of flower, or pistols. Am I blind? I did smoke some awesome stuff last night and maybe I missed but this Cheese plant just keep growing and growing, very fast and very heavy!!!

I have done LST on her two times a day the past week, thats how fast she is pointing up to the light and growing. But with all that action, there is no signs of anything happening.

This is a soil grow, she is under 20/4 light like the King Tut and still no signs of anything happening.

IF for some reason at all she is not an AUTO (packaging says Auto Fem Cheese) then I will wait her out and switch to Flower once I harvest the King Tut to maximize the yield, but for an autoflower, is it normal for a plant to not show anything after 8 weeks?

It is not a bad plant and there are no signs of any issues because she just keep growing, biggest leaf we got is 9 fingers, this grew AFTER we topped her. Both plants have been Topped and then LST was introduced.

Any advice would be awesome!

Ohh...forgot to attach this image so here it is...this plant is gonna look like a damn banzai tree when I am done with her, look at that up and down action on the stem, its like this all over her!

So I went back and took a look at our Cheese plant

Great thread! Already learned couple of things. Here are my autoflower plants. There are 3 THC Bombs and 2 Speed Buds. Not sure which is which yet. :/

This is my first time growing autoflowering plants. I am definetely amazed by their growth. This is their day 42. Can't wait for harvest!!
Looking great! Happy harvesting!

I have this plant growing from a seed I found inna nugget!?!! It was some fire... The plant shows obvious signs of being rudderalis and showed sex organs around 20 days old (can't really remember maybe 15) can you guys confirm if it's an auto?

no but i can confirm its a ruderalis wich automatically infers its an auto ... only it will yield crap only for concetrates worthy

3 bladed leaves all the way is typical for Ruderalis thats what told me ... also it will produce single calyxes instead of clusters once you see that you are 100% sure

edit: i hope i am wrong ;)
Something like this?

So just to come back on what you guys were saying about the growing period of auto's and the potency of THC and/or CBD, I am a salesman myself (I did a study about it the job itself is too boring for me) But it's as good as impossible to lie about something you sell as a store because that's highly illegal especially in europe and the US. So, those time periods will vary in every environment so what those breed do, atleast I think what they do, is having the best possible environment, lights and nutrients so that the plants grow A LOT faster and bigger. So if they do reach 60 to 70 days in that environment and that light and those nutrients then it's not a lie to say that they grow in 8 to 10 weeks and that it actually is 14 to 16 weeks at your home.

BUT! There are breeders who do tell you the truth, for example I have an Auto Fresh Candy from Pyramid seeds under a 54watt LED light and behind the window where they get the spring/summer sun. And I don't know jow old she is I do need to take a look but she is almost ready for harvest and she is about 7 weeks old? and the breeders said that she is ready for harvest between 6 and 8 weeks. So that's pretty amazing.

Question: when do u start giving nutes to autos? Which week? Thank you!

I have been keeping track of all stats in my grow environment. Head over to my grow journal if you wanna see it all in action, its pretty intensely detailed lol

If not, then here are the shots of my feedings and room environment that may help guide you. Nothing written in stone, each plant reacts differently, so use as a reference. And when you do start, don't feed full dosage. I started at about 1/4 to 1/2 the recommended feeding to get her adjusted

For me, I started feeding both at week 3

Pictures please. Not doubting you at all, just want to see if your idea of ready to harvest is the same as mine.
