loving the auto life .
Any updates, clayboy?

hey all
I've got an amnesia haze auto
from royal queens seeds going at the moment. it's the first auto I've grown after countless reg grows. my question is could this plant be ready before the estimated time ? I'm on week 6 now and the plant is looking very close to harvest (orange trichs everywhere as well as nutrients in leaves being used up ect) the estimated time is 10 weeks, should I start flushing next week or try and push it out to 10 weeks ?

this photo was at week 3 !! can't believe autos grow so quick !!

My northern light autos day 42 for some and 35 for others this is my first ever grow so any comments or tips would be helpful.
I had a interesting thing nappen anll my girls were flowering except 1 so I dialed the lights back to 12-12 and sure enough the last 1 started I am guessing 1 of those free seeds was not a auto...but any way it seems my autos have respond well to the 12-12 I
am thinking maybe less is more in this case
Thanks

I've only grown one auto and that only started flowering when the light schedule was changed to 12/12.

My way of thinking would be that an auto would give lower yields on 12/12 than with a higher light schedule such as 20/4.

I agree. Exceeding 20/4 would be wasteful. 12/12 could really hurt your yield. I roll with 20/4 as recommended by Rob from 420 for my White Widow Autos.

my purple kush auto is on 18/6 ... and i agree that 20/4 is the maximum the rest is only marginally beneficiary to your yield and does not justify the extra electricity spent

if autos only start after 12/12 then its not an auto ... autoflower plants are scientifically categorised as a C3 plant which means they dont need any dark at al to instigate flowering there for they can be on 24/0 start to finish ... the ruderalis genetics evolved in northern russia in summer you get only few hours of dark if any at all

8 weeks on an autoflower is impossible at least 11-12 weeks seems more likely and 13-15 weeks is the most realistic

fro the record im talking seed to harvest here ... not flowertime
Thanks. I'm new to autos. I've had couple good runs with photos. I have 8 autos going at the moment. If they take 15 weeks it may be last auto run for me. My first photo grow was 3 plants with total yeild of 17 ounces. 9 weeks of that on a light schedule of 12/12 and a 6 week veg on 18/6. Not knocking autos. I should have done more research on common actual grow time
