Auto Growers Club

Do you have all the wiring inside your tent on a power strip? Or outside? Being outside will lower the temps.

He's got two monster mars 900s in there! They kick out a reasonable amount of heat with all those 5w bulbs. He's a greedy boy :)

Sandstorm - I've got a bit of a runt going too. I have a Candy Cane that's 10 days old that's barely got it's second set of leaves going. Very little change in 5 days. Hoping both our ladies pick up soon :goodluck:

Yojitoke - look fine to me. Maybe a slight bit of a yellow tip on one leaf point but nothing I'd be overly concerned about. If you see tips beginning to yellow more, then you might want to dial back a bit on the nutes. :Namaste:

the stim broke off with one leaf on it. That leaf was the biggest top leaf on the plant and the plant is still small. So will there be any problems now because of the leaf that broke off?

Lower Leaf Burn On Most plants - Day 44 Candy Cane

If someone could chime in and let me know what they think of the leaf burn I would appreciate it. The burn is only on the lower leafs and the rest of the plant looks real healthy. I checked for bad bugs and the leaves are clean other than my lady bugs.

I think it may be two many nutes not sure. Thinking back I fertilized the plants like 3 times already with 20 20 20 miracle grow, about a 1/4 scoop each time. Also should I just remove the bad leaves as they are all on hte bottom only and the leaves are very thick on the bottom of the plant.

Also a little concerned about the lateness of the Candy Cane showing flowers - some white hairs only ot date.

Thanks

Grow Medicine - Soil - Candy Cane Auto CKS - Grow Journal - 2016

OK, I think I've caught the hang of posting pictures... I hope.

This is my first grow, both plants are autos, and they are about 4 weeks in. I think they're real small for 4weeks,but I didn't expect much for my first time. Wondering what I can improve upon next time though. Any tips welcomed!

Here is my set up, 2 60w cfls and an led board:

Hey sandstorm...I've been growing autos for a little while now and just finishing up some cks northern lights autos. I've only grown in coco (which has no nutritional value at all) so I don't have any experience with soil but I've found that I can give them nutes very early in the grow, usually when I see the first couple leaves appear I feed them at 1/8 strength and they seem to love it! also I think you need some more light as well as somebody previously mentioned, my first grow I did 2 plants under cfl's with a total of 293 watts and they did pretty well considering I went all the way with the cfl's but since then I've upgraded my lighting to 2 x mars hydro reflector 96's and they love it, plants grew faster and bigger and the bud was much more dense and yielded more as well so I'd say give'em some food and more light if you can! Happy growing ✌️.

Yes, as rifleman said it could definitely be a ph problem..I had a very similar problem a little while ago and couldn't figure it out as I'm somewhat new to growing but he responded to my post saying "when was the last time you calibrated your ph meter?? And the lightbulb went off lol, I hadn't done it in a long long time as I did not know they had to be calibrated frequently but I fixed that and the plants turned around completely and looking good!! So now I will always start with checking ph levels now if I come across a problem..Thanks again to Rifleman! ✌️.

I've had a little experience with pH pens...enough to know I do not like them. :biglaugh: The photo looked like a calcium issue, most likely locked out from an out of whack pH. If in soil I'd flush, in dwc I'd change the reservoir and make sure of my pen's calibration. As always YMMV.

Anyone ever had a problem with fruit flies and know how to deal with em in a home made way (no chemical)?
I have some no chemicals so give or take the soap that always stay near my soil baby, not much, like 10-20 maximum.

Rosemary oil and black seed oil 10:1 mix with water and a single drop of dawn soap never more than 3 days in a row and never spray until lights out I know u said no chemicals so give or take the soap with just the oils and water should work fine. Or SnS 217 soil drench good luck almost forgot Dr.earth has a organic spray for FF at Home Depot I've used before works well
