At The Foot Of Mount Washmore

Grats on the zippers.

I think Monica and I are going to stop by tomorrow either before or probably after we go to her dads.

If no worker bees are available today I'll do it for you tomorrow :)

My zippers are here! They weren't due to arrive until Tuesday but they got here early, which pleases me to no end! So, if I can get my worker bees moving in this heat, we will turn one of our panda film walls into the panda film door I've always dreamed of.:rofl: I hope we can at least begin the project today but we will see. My oldest, who will be helping me, is currently helping one of my neighbors who's movers didn't show up and it's 90+ out there. I may have lost my worker bee for the day...

For your enjoyment, Zippers!!

I am inclined to agree! Pretty slick! I was given a little starter oil that I will start tomorrow. :yahoo: I'll keep ya posted!

I am excited that you're stopping by!! If we could just get big brother out of Baton Rouge we'd all be together tomorrow. Big worker bee was toast after helping the neighbor all day, but Middle bee surprised me with a visit and got the zippers up for me! You can help me double check for light leaks!

One of my boys showed up unannounced to surprise me with a weekend visit which means all 3 of my kiddos are home! Middle son got the zippers installed. They went up really easily (from my vantage point) and I think they are perfect for what I needed. I'll know better as we use the new door but I think we have a winner!

All for now! Happy 4th to all!

I honestly don't know! This heat is really wearing me out, and I haven't even tried. No strength to speak of.

Super cool setup MagicMediwana, the oil will help with your pain and should allow you to zip your tent. Happy 4th, enjoy your kids.

I love the way you zipped and rolled up at the same time.

Even if it takes 20 seconds, that is so cool - Like raising the curtain in a movie theatre. It's a dramatic reveal. :) An event !
My flower room curtain is more like a curtain from a theatre hallway to your seating area, you just push it to the side with your hands.
Also you get panda film white on the inside :)

That is SO COOL. See? growing meds can lead down the tinkering path which enriches the spirit :Namaste:

Best thing ever what you and your Bees did Ms Magic

My nerve pain has lead me to the habit of using cording as a long "loop" on some things. Now I do that because of habit, and I've done a lot of mods for myself these past few grows :cheesygrinsmiley: got the tool bag out and everything

Also, Mom taught me to put chap stick or Vaseline on zippers for a smooth ride [I opt for the SMALLEST BIT of wd40]
:blunt:Your set up looks really great [and so does what's on the inside :partyboy:]

I have been reading about your heat and fires and try to imagine how rough it must be. Bless you all

:Namaste: :peace: :reading420magazine: :peace: :Namaste:

A small plant update for today. Sammy is just starting to ask for water. Both girls will be watered today. My corn is taking forever to sprout so no sprouted seed tea today. We still have some work to do light-proofing the tent. Sweetleef will come back out next week and finish it up so we can flip.

Here is Sammy, still some twisted leaves...

Hello Sammy & Tony.

Glad you topped by, TopCat! Thank you for the kind words, as always. I have not set up the cording yet, I explained what I was wanting to Sweetleef last night and we may be setting that up next Sunday as well. The zipper kit came with 2 hooks to hold the door open once it is rolled up. This works well for the 'bees' but not so much for me. To be as self-sufficient with the grow I will need to try something else. Quite honestly, what I really want to be able to do is just open the tent and watch them whenever I want to without needed someone else to help with that every time. :laughtwo: I enjoy spending time with them, as I think we all understand. Be back later with a picture of my favorite bong!

Thank you, RS!! I am happiest when the house is buzzing, and all 3 of them are so helpful. I hope your holiday was wonderful!

We have talked about using more of the panda film and hanging it on each wall for light reflection. I am under powered as far as light is concerned for the space. The footprint for my light is 6.6'x2.2' and we created a 4x4 area. We hung the light diagonally to use the full 6 feet. I'd love to extend one side by another foot or two and add another 144x5w! It makes my heart race a bit just thinking about it! Another light is a ways off so I will reign it in and use my space as best I can. I do like the door! :high-five:

Hello Sammy & Tony.

Hi BAR! Hope your weekend has been wonderful! My resident apprentice left today... I'm rather bummed. 2 weeks gone, then 2 home, then 2 gone again. Blah!

I'm adding these pics of my favorite bong. We took these when we took the zipper picture and then I decided not to use them. Today I changed my mind! I have to do things a little differently than most people and I wanted to share some of that. Along with the bong I included the small blown glass hemp wick holder I use and my lighter. I love the wick holder because it fits nicely in my hand, it's very light and easy for me to hold. For those of you who do not know, I do not have full use of my hands, (among other things :cheesygrinsmiley:). This is why I included a picture of my lighter as well. It is a flame-less, rechargeable USB lighter. I didn't know until recently that such a thing existed, and for me it has been a game changer!

Picture yourself, alone in the house. You would love nothing more than to schmoka da weed, but 'Oh no!', you can't use a lighter! What do you do? Well for a while you use a hot stove burner to light a match, which in turn lights a candle, which then lights matches as needed. When you get tired of burning through so many matches, you try spaghetti noodles! The problem with those is that if I set the noodle down and was not diligent my hound dog would snatch it and eat it! So, back to matches. Then you get a new stove with smooth glass top and ain't nobody lighting a match on that. :yikes: Then you start using the toaster... lame but effective. By accident I came across this type of lighter online and ordered one immediately. In the first picture I show the USB side of the lighter. The second pic shows the lighter side. It's just a simple coil that heats up. It doesn't hold a charge for long which is a drawback but not a deal breaker. I love this lighter and the freedom it affords me!

I love your holder! Your wife made that, right? :cheertwo: I have a ball of the wick and we cut a length off and stuff it in the holder. It lasts me several weeks before we have to reload the holder. It does fit my hand really well. I've tried a couple of different brands and the brand I'm using now has more beeswax then the last brand. That has worked in my favor because it ignites easier.

YES ,my wife has creative takent at assembling and decorating.

My talent is more fixing and disassembling :)

Your hemp wick is in a pretty shaped bottle. We would definitely put that to use in our home .
Your bong has a resemblence to a certain mushroom that must not be named on :420:
 I like it a lot

Magic, could you get a picture of the plants after they recover following watering and share it on my journal? It would be a great addition to the discussion. If we get a few more examples we might be able to get a sticky made.

Oh Magic, you had me on the floor laughing! Ahhhh, there, I can breathe again. Hahaha! Ok, haha. I'm very impressed and "Yes" to the idea of panda if OMG on the walls, if you can't paint them. Otherwise get some ultra white flat and let someone go to town on those walls for you. If I were there it would be done already.

And I love that little wick holder. I have such a weakness for glass of all kinds. I grow tired of the lighter but not of the smoke. That USB lighter is so neat. Too bad my daughter has my computer. Haha! I suspect I will always smoke some, even when I have enough to have baked buds every morning for breakfast. (Ooooo, just the thought of that potential. :laughtwo: ) Old habits die hard, and I'm 61. Not that I couldn't, just that I see no point. :cheesygrinsmiley:
