It could be if the soil is always damp. Gnats thrive in wet soil wherever it's from. I'm not necessarily saying it definitely is but it looks like an issue I once had with gnats. Similar damage occurred to the leaves so it immediately stood out but I could be way off also.

A lot of pests come with the soil, not always introduced.

Hi mate 3 of my plants have popped and are about 3 inches tall first small set of leaves I put them under a 250w hps and they have dropped over what could be the cause of this and can I rescue them. Is it best to let them get a few sets of leaves before putting them back under the lights
How far is your light from them? Sounds like your light may be too close, a pic would make it easier to determine

I dont know if it helps but I planted in miracle gro potting mix which is loaded with nutes specfically nitrogen 24-8-16, I had a lot of leaf yellowing and spotting on the leaves till I started flushing them out a little. To be honest they look pretty good to me but I'm a newbie. My girls new growth is lighter, limey, been doin it all along.

The lime color is normal with some strains when it's newer growth. Give it a day or two and see if it gets any worse. I would recommend that you discontinue the miracle grow for future grows

While I'm actually movin and adjusting things which I keep to a minimum, I wanted to get my shorstest girl up into the lights and spread things out a bit room is short. As I was headin into the house with a little piece of scrap wood it occured to me to clean it off and check it real good so I dont bring in unwanted critters. Ounce of prevention.

Smart move checking out that piece of wood for preventative purposes, I did the same without checking it over and let's just say I was sorry about a week later.... Lesson learned

First thing to do is let the soil dry out, especially the top inch or so. Fungus gnats won't live long if the top inch or two of your plants soil is dried out. Gnats thrive in damp soil and repopulate in the soil by laying eggs, they then feed off the roots and nasty stuff. Dry your growing medium a little more between waterings and find a cannabis friendly bug spray and yellow sticky traps if it's a bad infestation. The key to no gnats is letting your soil dry a bit between waterings.
Or you can put an inch of sand at the top of your medium. The little bastards won't know what hit them...

Further to my earlier post regarding whether I'm overwatering vs nitrogen toxicity I have a few photos showing the damaged new growth leaf tips and it includes the top shoot on one plant. I'm getting more worried as the day goes on and need to correct this issue. I'm not sure if it's N toxicity or overwatering and I really need to solve the problem before I gets worse. I've considered root rot as well but that's unlikely as it's more than one plant and in compost with good drainage. I think it's toxicity but I need a more experienced diagnosis, here are the pics of the affected new growth leaves.

I'm getting a little worried as it's very wide spread on one of the Master Kush and it's now not drinking as much water as it was. My money is on too much N but I'd love someone with more experience to confirm either way. I'm about to go to flower and need it solved ASAP. Thanks guys.

Sod it I'm flushing/leeching them all. What's the worst that could happen right? It's better than death by nitrogen that's for sure. If it's related to overwatering I'll soon find out lol

It doesnt look like over watering to me, the entire leaf isnt affected. Theres a bit of nute burn showing with the leaf tips clawing slightly. Are you in soil or soiless? Whats your ph?

Do you think I'm safe to flush/leech them then? As you say the whole leaves don't appear to be affected like overwatering would cause and I'm keen to try and solve the issue. I think I'll just go ahead and flush.

Hey guys I have a question. I have a 48x24x60 tent and I'm using a cool mist humidifier but even on the lowest setting it dreams up the whole room and I get water droplets on the wall and even on the top of the led panel. That made me a little nervous cause it has two built in fans. Would you be able to recommend a way to avoid this problem

A bucket of water in the corner with a hand towel on a hanger just above it. Let the towel reach into the water a few inches. The water will wick up the towel and your fan can blow across it and try to dry it out. I presume you're trying to add RH to your tent, and this would be a more subtle way. Being that it's a tent, it should be sealed and hold RH well if desired.

Light was 2feet from them everything I have looked at says it was to close I have raised the light to a metre just going to see how they go and if they will recover

Busy day in the garden, good flush, second prudent defoil, first bloom feed and regular nutes which are liquid stinky and hard as heck to accuratly measure out of the original container. I also discovered if I put a plastic whatever lid down I can pour into it fast and not dig a hole. They are hard to reach in the back.

Those look like some very happy plants.

I keep getting Five Finger Death Punch stuck in my head looking at your user name. Ever see the music video for "You"?

These are my 3 week old plants and I'm doing hydro. I added a little extra bytes because they were a little yellow and now this.

Fungus? or Deficiency? Or Toxicity?

It's no good for the buds because of our high humidity. It will cause budrot in flower. Rainwater is fantastic to feed them with but it's catastrophic if those heavy buds get a good soaking deep into flowering. I used to get some budrot every year until I started putting a rain cover above those heavy colas, now I get none.
But Its outdoor nature should find a way to survive no? Seville a weed no just thinking out loud bro?

since i feed daily in cocos i get alot of runoff ... i have two dishes that i alternate cause moving a pot daily that leeks alover the tent and weighs a ton is abit of a hustle ....
Yeah Hate thst already myself. But let's see how she does with next grow outdoor.coco early miss soon.
