from what i understand is that plants sense the lenght of dark period by a hormone that rapidly degrades under light ... longer darks allow the hormones to rise in the plants so they trigger flower ... light leaks are devastating on photo plants cause it messes with their sense of season and thus with their sense of priorities ( vegging or flowering )

so to my opinion just a 24h dark will more as suffice...
there is no place on earth with day/night-triggered-bloomcycle plants that gets 24h darkness ...does that makes sense ... its where auto get their genetics cause the messed up day night cycles up north make it develop age triggered flowering known to us as Ruderalis
phytochromes ?

All depends how you grow. I know some people who grow all organic and dont flush at all and their buds still taste superb but I myself usually flush 10-14 days

I really need expert advise, I may or may not have bug problems. I am a little over a week into flower and have not been removing leaves the entire time. Its crowded, I have read remove most of the foliation in flower as well as leave em alone. My gut says remove. I have my barber hat on and sissors ready.

When I was using it I waited until stretch was finished and used it every feed (reducing the base) until the end of approx 6th week. Loved it.

Thank you for your reply. I'm trying to get an idea of various methods used for PK boosters by a variety of growers but it's interesting you use it in every feed after the stretch, I think I'll try this on one or two of my plants for a comparison against the others from the same seed stock. Thanks again .

I use bloom boost 1 week into flower slowly increasing the amount, then 2 weeks before harvest I double up my dose. Works well for me

an that beer can is a tall boy ;)

Thanks for the reply dude and yeah it sure does work for you those colas are lush, beer can colas are always desirable lol. I use PK 13/14 just the once then switch to bloom feed from then on but I'm seeing a few different methods in the answers I'm getting. I have a variety of plants on the go so will do a few comparisons.

For better or worse I made the call, didnt go too crazy, I hope. I fully understand nobody wantin to chime in its a very important decision. I didnt just do it, I did research asked questions and simply looked at pictures on here. I am actually ok with my decision although I did like the big bushy look.

If your plant responds well to the trimmings you will have one hell of a bushy plant and hopefully one FAT harvest

I'm a week and three days into flower, I am or was out of room. So far these things have seemed to be almost bullet proof. Its green crack from cks. We will just have to wait and see. I'll give it a few days and post pics good or bad.

Yea CKS always has super good genetics I'm growing the strain sour kush from Canuck seeds super good genetics as well, and I'm sure the results will be good and you'll end up w tall bushy plants . keep us all updated

fabric pots will airprune your roots so rootbound is prevented however dense rootballs can get very big waterguzzlers towards late flower .

but ... omg does she looks mighty fine ... she is gonna be a big yielder imo .... im jealous .... good job sofar

Ok great, I think I may have heard that when I first went with the fabric pots. I'm still fairly new at growing, always learning something new everyday so it can be a lot to retain.
Haha thank you! Honestly she was a free seed, I wasn't expecting much so she's been growing in the corner of my tent. I even topped her twice! It's my first Kush so I'm impressed.

I would only defoil any leaves blocking budsites, then a week into stretch cut off bottom branches that are wasting energy

Thanks Snarly, that puts my mind at ease lol. It still smokes really good :passitleft::cheertwo:
Next time try and not let the humidity get below 65, before jarring . Then by burping, it will drop down to 62 after about a week of burping. But once you let it get below 62, there's no way to bring it back up. If it's at 60%, then I suggest that you don't burp for longer than it takes to exchange air in the jar.

3 White widow photos- 4 weeks old
80% FFOF, 30% Perlite
In 2 gallon fabric pots for 2 1/2 weeks
Reverse Osmosis water Ph'd to 6.5
Just started adding Cal mag watering before last
2-300 watt LED lights 23" away
Humidity 40-50, Temp 77-82

Yellowing and dying leaves at the bottom - is this just normal maturing of the plant?

A few leaves (all towards the bottom) have yellowing and browning at the tips and a few small brown spots on other leaves.

After I noticed this I gave 1/2 dose of Grow Big (first time) and 2ml of Cal Mag.(second dose) The yellowing/brown spots slowed down, but the affected leaves are slowing dying.

I keep hearing to test the run off, but it's not enough to test with my ph stick, maybe I'm not watering enough at one time? They share a half gallon about ever 3 days or when the top inch is dry.
