Yeah i can see what you mean about the reflector blocking light, you could use the cfls for vegging and the mars hydro for flowing, although I'm not sure how well one 300 would do with two plants.

What if you mounted them sideways at or just above canopy level, against side wall? In other words, flip it 90 degrees, and mount on wall.

I'll stop by and check it out, i have a mars hydro 96x5 reflector and love it! Anyway just play with positioning and get creative and you'll figure out the best way to use those CFLs!

Will do! Thanks again

90 degrees? Both of them? That's sounds bad to me, they will definitely need a light source on the top.. I think .
But eventually if i get the reflector, i will position the lights with an angle yes, something like 45 degrees

I think he meant the CFLs but if both are going into one fixture maybe you could mount the cfls on the back wall down low ( bulb facing the door) for the underside of the plants, snarlys onto something here.

I can't mount anything heavy on the back of the wardrobe, it's not thick enough unfortunately

Yes, I meant the cfls. You have the LED as primary, use the cfl's as suppliments. Flipping the 90 degrees will greatly reduce the reflectors shadow footprint, if not completely eliminate the shadow. I still think canopy height or just above. But that's just me.

You gotta think positive man. Where there's a will, there's a way. I would try to find a way to hang it from the top of the wardrobe, as close to the side or back as you can, and let it hang resting against the wall.. again at 90 degrees to reduce reflector shadow and at canopy height or just above.

Yes that sounds good, reducing the shadow as much as possible should be the main goal since it's really crowded.. i pretty much managed to cover all the available space in canopy level

Hey all

Quick question I'm. On week three almost week 4 Monday fto seed white cookies feminized cks in pro mix peat moss . Using an nute trio line up just add 1 ml per two litre of grow Micro and 1 ml of cal mag. Is that enough for this week znd if so rest would you sell be feeding at this point. Tia first photo.

THanks again mate! should i have it on 24/7 even when the lights are off? and should i have just this window with the screen open? or should i also have a hole open? im worried about the bugs and spiders if i have one of the holes (without screen) open!
Stick a 4 inch dryer vent in one of your lower vent holes and cover the end of it with some panty hose. The duct works as a passive air intake and if you leave it long you can make it so no light leaks in from the vent. And the panty hose will stop any flying insects/spiders

You should either coil the duct, or have a couple 90 degree bends in it to prevent light leaks :)
Even better to have the inside painted flat black, according to best practices, but I never go that far lol

You can still hang it where your led is.....it wont cause stretch because as long as you have the led at the correct distance. And inside a tent with mylar that light from the cfl will still reflect and help the plant even though im not sure how much but it definetly would not hurt...... check out the grow bosses videos Grant it he will use the t5's which are h.o but he keeps his t5's far compared to most

Why do I always see this? The tops of leafs collect light not the undersides. Thats why leafs will turn to face the light.

Are you talking about hanging the cfl reflectors lower on the back wall but still shining towards the canopy. Or are you suggesting having the light shining from the bottom facing up so as to illuminate the under side of the leafs?

I don't think he meant the back of the leaves, thanks for your opinion.. when i decide I'll you guys know

Lol I noticed that rite afterwards....you wouldnt believe some of the things you will hear some times
That's funny lol, do you really see people doing that a lot? Lighting the underside of the plant? I just meant the lower parts of the plant that don't get as much light. Guess i could have worded that better.

She is beginning to perk up when she totally recovers will put the juice back in thx!

Just came in. Was gunna tell ya it's "huge temp change shock. Want to build real character. Dump 55 deg in a 80 deg tank. They will recover. I don't do it to often anymore.

Your at 50% recommended dosage. You can increase to 75%. Pro Mix is easy to flush with weaker nutes if your plant starts to burn. That's up to you.
Read up on Dolomite limestone they use as a pH buffer. It also starts releasing calcium around 4 to 6 weeks (dependent on water schedule). To prevent a possible lock out. I would stop or reduce using cal/mag.
