Ase's Perpetual Fun With Coco

Daaaang so exciting to watch since mine are in between your 2 cycles ... what's your secret for those thick trunks?? How many fans do you have blowing? Do you give them a break from the fans while in Veg? I currently have my fan running on the same timer as the lights so they get to dance for 18 hours a day..

I have one fan blowing at the base and mid of the plants and the other one hanging in the corner down at the tops of the plants. They both oscillate. I never turn them off. In veg I just run the bottom fan and turn the other one off until flower. It's always good to keep air moving around to prevent mold. Think of it this way, the light and dark hours from the sun may change but the air/wind is always there. It's not like the wind stops because the sun goes down.

Hey ase!

Actually wind is the result of uneven heating of the earth and pressure bands. Regardless of what it does or doesn't do outside I'm totally with you on keeping the air circulating at all hours! Which reminds me I need to mount mine tomorrow... that sounded weird. And wind isn't why I came by...

I have a plant in scrog and I was wondering if I'm okay to free her restraints? I'm on day 15 of 12 12 and just got to wondering if she could be unbound? Or if I should leave her be.... and yes it's a real deal scrog not a support net I call a scrog. Haha.

Thanks buddy.

And your plants are looking killer as always . You have quite the green thumbs

Thanks TMD. Always cool to learn a new science fact! I am really loving this round of girls. I dig the part of you telling me it’s a real scrog. I think a couple people got mad at me before for saying it’s not a real scrog on their threads. Oh well, I have a big mouth sometimes.

If you have a real scrog I would just leave it. It’s the one downside to doing a real one because once they are set they are pretty much in the same spot all of flower. Air circulation becomes critical as it can get really thick at the net with leaves and stuff. I bet you could take down the net about halfway through flower but I’ve never tried. I just know the stems will get really hard and sturdy and you have less of a chance of it closing up because it’s now like a statue. Personally I wouldn’t risk it and I’d just leave it the whole way.

Looking good ASE!

TMD I untied mine about 2 weeks into flower and she started closing back up so I put the chains back on and left her like that. I think it will depend mainly on how you have her contorted

Yeah 2 weeks is way too early as they still are stretching. They can stretch for up to 4 weeks so I wouldn't try until like day 35-40.

Thanks for stopping by Turbo! Glad to have you along!

Nice! Thanks turbo and ase!

.... I mean no offense to those who "scrog" for support either. Just wanted to clarify without posting pictures of my plant in your thread....

Anyways thanks for the input!

Hope everyone has an awesome Friday!

That's two weeks after pistils, not after 12/12

I wouldn't care about you posting a pic at all. I'm cool with people posting a picture or two if they have a question and want to show me to get a better idea. I just don't like people flooding a journal with a ton of pictures or constantly updating their stuff in other peoples thread. If you are going to do that start your own journal! Anyways, I would love to see a picture of your real scrog. Post one or two up! Preferably of a canopy shot and a side shot if you got it!

My two girls lifted my real scrog net/frame right off the floor by about 2 inches during stretch. It probably weighs 5lb or so lol.

Yeah you do have a real one and plants are strong, they'll try to push the net up for sure. You and Swag both have real ones and it's good to see, I enjoy watching your guys's threads! Scrogging is fun but I hated not being able to move them around. Quadlining got me the plant shape I want and I can still move everything around. Win-win, and that's when I stopped scrogging.

BTW the link you have is for your old journal and not your new one (in your signature).

Geesh I think I am blushing over here haha thanks man.. Thanks for the tip I did not realize that since I have been coming on here with my phone since a long time, I'll have to change that!
I hear ya on the pains of scrog, my next plant is going to be a single unit with lots of training and hopefully no net.. Since the cupboard will be full of Big Foot and this is just personal stash I won't be too concerned about max yield.

I feel like I get the same yield with my plants quadlining as I did scrogging. The best part is I've cut the veg time down from seed to flip to 42 days. So really like a week of seedling phase and 5 weeks of veg.

I know what you mean by real scrog, but I usually keep quite.

I've just got a big mouth and I can't help it. That's what makes you a great Member of the Month! I'm not completely good at being that politically correct. When we have corporate walkthroughs at work people are shocked at what I say even though everyone knows I am right. I am just the only one usually willing to stick my neck out and say it. Can be a good thing and a bad thing.. lol, trust me!

Hi Asesino just stopped by to say hi. I checked out a few pages of your journal and I've got to say you have mad skills your grows are awesome! I need to take some time and read through your entire journal hoping to pick up some good information to help me grow.
