Ase's Perpetual Fun With Coco

100% agreed. Such a solid breeder. You won't find any rare or "elite" genetics from them, but what you will get is exactly what is written on the label. That counts for a lot. Especially at those prices. Such an underrated breeder. Not sure why though.

I really think that is what most of us home growers are looking for.....consistent quality plants at a reasonable price. I still get blown away by how much some breeders want to charge for seeds. I saw a strain on Neptune Seed bank for 300 bucks for 5 regular seeds. GTFO here with that crap. I guess that is ok for breeders looking to find a mom or dad, but for your average grower its just way overpriced. I see people dropping big bucks on expensive strains and I am more than happy popping strains from breeders like Nirvana for a quarter of the price.

Garden is on point my friend! Awesome looking seedlings and flower girls!:passitleft:

Pretty happy with everything. All the girls in the flower tent are going smoothly and are all relatively the same height. I feel like I did pretty good at getting them even considering they are all different strains. Seedlings are all going smoothly as well and are ready for bigger pots. Hopefully I can transplant again with no stress and no slow down like I did last time. Hoping to hit 42 days in veg from the seed popping like last time as well. Fingers crossed!

Yeah I totally agree. Nirvana was my first seed purchase ever. Since then I've really tried to keep one of their strains in my grow at a time. The Aurora Indica was great in my first grow. 2nd grow the star was the White Rhino I got from them and I won Plant of the Month with it. It also was my best yielder of the bunch and the best tasting. My next grow was all clones from the 2nd grow and even though the Chemdawg was the star of that one, the White Rhino was still probably the best smoke overall in terms of quality. 4th grow was all autos and that was probably my least favorite grow of the bunch (No Nirvana in this one). Most people know my opinion on Autos here, I gave them a fair shot. The White Castle was from my 5th grow and it was easily the best smoke. My 6th grow was a grow with only seeds that I won from my White Rhino POTM win and it was the one I just harvested. It had no Nirvana and was not a fun grow for me (heat issues and mold issues all in one! Plus a plant that hermed and one that was tiny). Now I've got ICE in my 7th and the tent looks fantastic.

With all that nonsense that I just said, the point is that every time I have a Nirvana seed in my grow I have really good grows. Every time I don't I'm not very happy. Their plants grow well, seem resistant to problems and usually end up being the best smoke of the bunch. The new girls that just popped a week ago are all sponsor seeds again so I'm hoping to break the streak of sub-par grows due to not having a Nirvana seed in them. At this point it's just superstition that my grows do better overall with a Nirvana seed but what does hold true is the quality I get from them. It's always been some of my best stuff. Outside of the Chemdawg that I won POTM back in September, Nirvana probably holds the other 4 spots in the top 5 plants that I've grown in relation to both yield and quality.

I'm loving my white rhino from Nirvana. I'm also doing AK48 and northern lights. All three have been doing very well and I'm super happy with my very first seed purchase. I'm also in coco. Happy growing man!

You too DD! I have some freebies that I got from Nirvana and I will pop all of them at once and hope that half are female. That'd give me 4-5 plants and I will do a mystery Nirvana grow at some point. Now that I have a veg tent setup that time might be sooner than later. Coco is my favorite man! Glad you stopped by.

You speak a lot of sense bud. 300 for 5 regs...

How many seeds did you order to get freebies if you don't mind me asking? I ordered 15 seeds and didn't get any freebies

I think it was 10, but this was also 2 years ago. Maybe nowadays they get enough business that they don't need to run promotions.

That makes sense. Being a newb I didn't think about freebies at the time cause I was so excited to grow something other than bagseed lol. Oh well, live and learn.

I think you made a great choice. I'd rather go with Nirvana even without the freebies. There are seed distribution companies, like Gorilla seeds (420 sponsor) that give freebies/promotions and you can buy Nirvana through them. Take a look there next time if Nirvana isn't offering anything cool.

You should check out Seedsman if you are looking for freebies. Many times when I order from there, i end up with as many freebies as seeds I bought.

You can get up to 8 freebies based on your purchase amount. You can get 8 more freebies if use bitcoin to pay for your purchase (plus they give you at least a 10% discount for using bitcoin). Then you can also look at certain breeders to find if any are running promotions such as spend 30 bucks on a pack of someones seeds and get something of theirs free. Also if you are looking for affordable seeds.....check out Seedsmans own breeds. They have strains of Regulars where you can get 10 regular seeds for 20 bucks. You probably won't find elite strains in there but I have grown some of their strains and for the price of the seeds you can't beat it. They do have feminized seeds as well and they are very affordable as well (such as 5 seeds for about 25 bucks).

I have bought from Seedsman at least 9 times and 10 days is the longest its taken to receive my stuff from them and most of the time I receive my seeds in about 7 days. None of my packages have ever been stopped coming into the USA.....but I do recommend their stealth shipping. They get very creative on how they ship stuff. I also pay a little extra to have them ship the seeds in the breeders packs.....that way I know for sure what I am getting. Also any issues you have generally get taken care of by Ruth really quickly. Once they shipped me the wrong strain from a breeder and they offered to ship it out ASAP or offered me a refund or offered loyalty points equal to what I paid that I could apply to future purchases. I chose the loyalty points since I usually make a purchase every month from them.

Another good option is Gorilla Seeds. I bought from them once and was happy....I just like Seedsman's prices and freebies a little better. You really can't go wrong with either. I know Seedsman also carries all or almost all of Nirvana's strains. Anyways, sorry for the long replay and good luck with finding a seed source you like.

Its ridiculous. I just breed out a plant, relatively small plant, and finished the seed harvest. I pulled about 2250 really nice, viable seeds off that plant. I probably culled 500 seeds that looked immature, discolored, or otherwise not what I would like to see if I was buying seeds. So to me the audacity for a company to charge 50-60 bucks a seed is baffling. I can only imagine how many seeds I would have pulled with a big plant. I realize that the seed company needs to make a profit, but come on!! 50-60 bucks a seed? Hell in a 4x4 tent, I can grow 4 good sized plants and slap a male between them, open pollinate and in 2+ months come back to 15-20k seeds.

I just got 5 x Jack Herer seeds from Gorilla, Sherry included another 5 x Super Iced Grapefruit, 1 Tangerine Auto, 1 G13 og Kush, 1 x 8 Ball Kush so I'm super happy with Gorilla seeds!

Yeah if it wasn't for Seedsman, Gorilla would probably be my go to seed bank.

I've been looking at both banks and I like what I see. In the end I'll probably go with seedsman first and try gorilla after that. Thanks for all of your guys input. Sorry for the hijack Ase.

No need to apologize. The only hijacks I'm not a fan of are when people post their pictures on my thread to show off their plants. I'm down for pictures of plants if people need help identifying things, but not so much just show them off.

Here is the honest truth, I really enjoy watching conversations between people on my thread as long as it's on topic with growing. I think it was Newty who dubbed this thread as "professional" but that's a compliment for me. I'm not here to just have a goofy laid back thread. I'm here to help people out and show people how I do things.

I really value all of the people who have followed me for a while and what they have to say. For instance, this conversation has shown a few things so far.

1. A few people really like the breeder Nirvana
2. A couple of people really like the seed distributor Gorilla seeds (420 sponsor).
3. Seedsman is another good company and you can get Nirvana!
4. Newty is getting addicted to growing and is going to spend more money on things than her husband wants her to. She's got more clones than she knows what to do with and still wants to buy seeds. Mind you she is already buying a light and is going to pay more than she originally thought due to some people convincing her to go bigger than she was previously thinking.

All in all the kind of people that end up attracted to my thread are confident enough in giving advice. They are people that know what they are doing and if they don't they aren't trying to offer up advice. I am on other people's threads and I can't believe the amount of incorrect information that gets suggested to people when they ask for advice. That doesn't happen here for whatever reason and I am thankful for it. If people like TheBlaze, Pennywise and VanStank want to offer up a suggestion they already know I'm cool with it. I know it will be a valuable discussion for those that don't comment as much or have as much experience. Maybe sometimes it will even sway someone to try something different who is stuck in their ways. I should be saying "Thank you" to you for starting a good topic!
