Ase's Multi-Strain Quadlining In Coco

Definitely subbing! Hope you are doing fantastic Asesino85.

I like your set up too by the way!
Happy 420!

Welcome! I am doing really fantastic in fact. I’ve recently landed a new job and I’m so much happier (and busier). This journal is getting a little long again so ask any questions you have if you can’t find the answers. With that being said I am pretty active and check in at least once a day so I should be able to get to any questions in a timely fashion.

My setups have changed a bit over the last couple years. I’ve been very fortunate to win a few plant of the months and running two tents has been awesome (sometimes 3 if I need to. I). Just glad to have enough equipment and space to do so. Definitely nice having some good equipment and not having to do it on the cheap but that’s the way I do everything. Buy good stuff and make it last. Thanks for tuning in!

I’ll be tuning in to this one. I’ve got a Chemberry goin right now and it’s my first coco grow. This journal has been very helpful.

Welcome Gas Tank Hank! I really love coco. I am tempted at some point to do my own soil mix like a living organic soil but that likely wouldn't happen until I buy my own house. I fell in love with coco and just have never looked back. My quality is great and my yields are as well. It's fun growing huge plants in coco in a short time, you just can't do that in soil. I'm glad you have found some help in my journal already. I hope you ask any questions if you need help. I think my expertise is training but I have a method of growing in coco that results in healthy plants and boosts things at the right time. Glad to have you along and man a bowl of that Chemberry sounds lovely right now. About to smoke a bowl of some of the Chemdawg I got from my last harvest and watch some college football on my TV and Live Disc Golf on my computer!

Go Bucks!!

Switch that B to a D and you have my team. We aren't supposed to be great this year though unless some young talent comes together. Next year might be a great year if our QB doesn't bounce early. Disc Golf World Championship is tight right now so I'm going to finish that and then it's garden time.

Lookin good Ace! Enjoy that CD!
I just put first roots in coco where I normally run promixhp ... I'm buying more coco after only a few weeks I'm sold.

I will always do at least one tent of coco. It just fits my style so much more. Glad you are enjoying it!

Girlfriend's Harvest.

Well the girlfriend is done growing now. Her schooling is ending and just won't have time to do it anymore. Our goal was to get her to do a grow with a CDB strain so we could make massage oils and creams with it. I really couldn't afford to use a whole tent of mine for that so that'd why she had to do it on her own. We used the Super Iced Grapefruit and Crown Royale in her first grow so she could get an idea what to do and how to grow. Then we did the CBD when we knew everything would work out where she was growing at so with the CBD down, she's going to take a cycle or two off.

The good news was that she improved from grow 1 to grow 2. I think grow 1 she got 12 oz. This grow she was able to pull exactly 448g. I was shocked when I weighed it as it was exact. So using 2 Mars Hydro 96s, she was able to get a pound. The best nugs will be saved to smoke and the rest will all go to creams and oils. That is going to make a lot and the science nerd in me is really excited to get started making it.

Paper bag of CBDream
Jar it up for a few weeks to have it cure
An average nug out of the the bunch.

Hey Ase
I’ve not been around much this year but I just checked out this awesome journal of yours to get a look at this quadlining technique and love it! Much thanks. And I’m super impressed by your gf’s GrowTwo results.

Much appreciated about the journal Anna. I try to keep it focused as best I can so there isn't a ton of fluff.

I love quadlining and unfortunately I had too many plants and I pretty much just let them grow. The ones I have going currently really are half quadlined. My girlfriends grow was the same. We topped at the normal spot and tied down the 4 branches horizontally but when those ties needed to be adjusted, I just didn't have room (width-wise) to be able to keep them low so I had to let them grow vertically. Really there is a number of variations to it but I like tying them down until they are done stretching. The next seedlings will be full quadlined again for sure.

I understand why you haven't been around and I really hope things are going better for you. Glad to see you back (ish?) and hopefully you try out some quadlining soon. I'm always around to answer questions if you need it. Oh yeah, I am super impressed with my girlfriends grow too. She really has done a great job and it never hurts to have more flower than you expected to play around with. Lots of topicals/creams/oils in my future! Thanks for stopping in from Down Under and I hope to see you around in my thread more often!

I’m at 10 weeks right now in the scrog tent and I think they will go 13 if I had to guess. Whatever it takes in the scrog tent I’ll assume will be about the same for the clones, however the clones are being flowered in ideal conditions as the weather has cooled so I expect big things from them. They may also finish a bit faster due to slightly lower temps and less heat stress. It’s only a few degrees but can make a small difference.

Clones usually finish about a week earlier than their donor plants. At least from what I have seen in my room.

Wonderful harvest! The weight is heavy on the scale and I could see some huge buds! Congrats!

How are the ATF going? Wondering if they ve got bigger again :p

Day 77 Flower ATFs - Day 69 Multi-Strain Veg - Day 26 Flower ATF Clones/Panama

It's kind of funny to think about but really not much has changed in 10 days. I'm at a bit of a standstill waiting for my ATFs to finish and my Multi-Strains to be uppotted and flipped. The Multistrain girls look pretty similar. I did do a heavy defoliation a few days ago but they are just begging to be in a bigger pot. About 2 weeks left before I can do that though.

The ATFs are showing more red hairs as well as fattening a bit still but they just keep slowly chugging along. I decided that I will give them straight water for a few days at the end of September and then I'll chop them down.

The one tent that did have a noticeable difference was the ATF clone tent. I did my typical defoliation/ cutting off all the branches that I knew were going to be weak so the plant could focus it's long term energy on the main colas. I will need to tie these up and I need to do it in the next couple days. The ATF on the right is about 5 ft tall from the base and the one in the back left is about 5 ft 6 inches tall. The Panama now only has 4 colas and it's about 4 ft 6 inches tall. Still interested to see how it finishes in that little pot but I'm glad I did what I did. It wouldn't have fit in the 2x4' tent now with how big the other 3 have gotten.

Those ATF clones are going to stack up huge!

It's going to be impressive!

The ATFs have so huge buds! Truly impressive and wonderful to watch. Thanks for sharing Ase!

I ve been watching the pictures again and again and just realize the ATFs look good for an energetic high. I'm I wrong? The buds look well formed with mostly orange pistils. From memory you like to wait before harvest to get the knock out effect? Have you already checked trich? I m curious to know at what state they are know. I would think of a mostly cloudy

I did a trich check today while I was down there and they are 2/3rds cloudy and 1/3rd clear. Last week it was about 50/50. Thats why I think 2 weeks will be perfect for harvest. Orange hairs are about 50/50 with the white hairs too.
