Day 68 - The Final Day for Tent B
Well I had some help today so I decided I was going to get all the other girls done. I was going to save one for tomorrow but who wants to do work on 4/20? I thought better and took advantage of my girlfriend being over and we knocked out two this morning. In my excitement that I had help I forgot to take pictures like I normally do.
Anubis
The Anubis will be my least yielding plant I think. It looks to be in the 3-4 oz range. My Ayahuasca Purple grew a lot like this. They are like super dense golf balls all over her. The smell was of sweet citrus on this girl. The Critical Cheese had a deep grape sweet to it and one has a citrus sweet to it. I think it's the skunk and cheese that makes the Critical have that deep sweet smell to it. The Anubis does not have that depth to it, rather it just smells really fruity. I think the Abubis was the frostiest of the bunch and I really look forward to smoking it.
I think this was half of the Anubis. Only shot I had but shows the golf-ballness I was talking about.
BlackJack
This was the only plant that I had a shot of trimming with it on it's stalk. Instead I chopped it down and hung it like I did all the other ones. Hung it you say? Yes, because the plants just started falling over when I moved them out of the tent I decided to hang them from the ceiling and
trim that way. My neck and back feel pretty wonderful. I just trim them standing up and move around the plant and it really is way better than hunched over a plant. Still like the way they look trimmed on the stalk still but there was no chance with this run of girl. Well there was with this one but I got in the habit of chopping and hanging before I realized I didn't want to do it with this one. Lol. Oh well.
So the only picture I got of this one was actually of my process of hanging it upside down. I screwed a hook into the ceiling and hung it by an adjustable bungee cord. It was just so easy on my body, I highly recommend it. I'd say it was just behind the Anubis in term of frostiness. It has a very earthy smell to it and I know it is going to be very potent. I really think it will be between it and the Anubis for most potent. The buds are also very dense and it should yield more than the Anubis. Everything I have smoked from Nirvana has been great and I am really looking forward to trying it out. It was an easy to grow plant and was the favorite until mid flower. The Critical Cheese and Tutankhamon just kicked it into a whole different gear than the Anubis and BlackJack did.
This was a really crappy picture and I apologize for that.
Tutankhamon
The Tutankhamon smells just like my Blue Dream did. There is a tiny bit difference that I can't put my finger on but the Blue Dream is the best smell on the planet. Right @Van Stank? I see you learned from a couple of us on here to really train that Blue Dream down because it will stretch like crazy. Either way that smell is just unreal and this is very very close. Luckily when something smells good, it tastes good. All of my plants smelt really good. I have said up until this point that they have smelt more prominent with every grow. This time they smell the same as my last harvest so I think I have leveled out in that department but my last grow was some of the best weed I have smoked in my life so I'll take it.
This will end up being my heaviest yielder most likely. Kind of reminds me of the way the Purple Kush and Blue Dream grew. You get these really long colas but these were fatter than those prior mentioned. That is a good thing considering I got about 6 oz on each of those two so I think this will be in that ballpark, maybe even heavier? It was definitely the biggest surprise of the bunch.
The focus now will just be the one other tent. I have a 3rd tent I normally use for seedling/early veg but I managed to fry an electrical plug the other day. It arc'd and burnt the plug up because the connection was loose from it being and old plug. I am not an electrician but managed to replace the plus and strip all the burnt wiring and get the plug back to working. Well that was today so normally I'd have that tent going into 3 weeks now. It's a blessing as I needed a little break anyways.
Tomorrow I will begin a ton of seeds. Spring weather is finally here in Oregon and I will be starting all sorts of seeds for my outdoor garden. I have also decided that I will do a monocrop for
@Coloradokid19 with
@Van Stank Atomic Thunderfuck Seeds. This was a strain I loved in college and can't wait to grow it. They are regular seeds so I will be growing probably 8 of them and just hoping that 4 pan out. If I get more females than I will veg them shorter so I have enough space. The goal is to quadline them for a scrog net and let the whole tent fill out nicely, hoping for one cola per square. I need to make a new scrog net but that doesn't take long. I am still not 100% that I will scrog, it's more like 50/50 but I know I could make this tent look pretty slick with a full scrog. I've always wanted to do my scrog again and doing it with the same strain is best. I really want to make this look awesome if I do it. After this I doubt I will ever scrog again. In one of my latest posts I commented on seeing a sea of huge colas and that being a big goal for me to hit. Well if you've ever seen a proper scrog that takes up the entire 4'x4' tent, it's something to behold. One big cola per square and the colas are all level. It's really cool. I think I'm convincing myself to do it as I continue to write about it. After this the last thing on my checklist is one massive plant in the 4x'4' not scrogged. Then all the things on my list will be checked off.
My girlfriends grow will be done in about 4 weeks so I will be starting the CBDream seeds I got for her as well to turn into CBD massage cream. All in all I might be starting about 50 seeds tomorrow. Going to be wild in my tent in about 4 weeks I think. At the end of that 4 weeks I give the girlfriend all of her plants, I plant all of the outdoor plants and I'll apply the scrog and it should clear out really fast. I'll be moving my 4 current girls into the other tent so I can get better coverage using my Mars reflector 144's than the Epistar 160s for the scrog. I want the corners of this to get good light and even the Epistars just miss the corners because they are shorter framed lights, even though they put out the same wattage.
I hope everyone has a great 4/20 tomorrow and is safe! I love the idea that I am starting seeds on 4/20. There has got to be good luck in there somewhere right?
