Day 11 Flower Tent A - Day 61 Flower Tent B

The girls in flower tent A are really starting show signs of aggressive stretch. There is usually 4-5 days of this crazy stretch period where the girls grow inches a day and then after that there is about 15 days where the plants continue to stretch but at a heavily declined rate. About a week from today and we will really know how the structure of these ones will look. I'm going to guess they look just like all my other plants but a little shorter and stockier than normal in a good way. All of the new growth looks incredibly perky and happy and that's a good sign for mid stretch. The last thing you want is for your plants to not be happy in stretch. It is a critical time for the growth of the plant and will drastically decrease yield if they aren't.

This was the more fun surprise today. The plant in Flower Tent B are showing really good signs of wanting to finish. They are really sagging and aren't drinking as much. I said in the last update I was going to start the flush a few days ago but that never happened. The flush happened today and I'll likely harvest in 7-9 days.

Tutankhamon is doing well. Lots of milky trichs so I think I am going to flush with the other ones.

Day 14 Flower Tent A - Day 64 Flower Tent B

Just a quick update today. The Flower tent B girls are finishing and starting to show fading in the fan leaves. I will likely start taking them down in a few days.

The Flower Tent A girls have not stretched like thought they would. They are starting to show signs of bud spots so there won't be a ton of stretching left probably. They are really short but a lot more compact than normal so these will likely look shorter and fatter than normal. I may not clip as much of the lower stuff off like normal due to this. They still fill up the tent floor!

Almost exactly. Did a trich check today and I could pull down the Critical Cheese today if I wanted. The others need a few more days so perfect for 4/20. I visit @newty tomorrow morning on the coast and when I get back I'll decide if I want to start taking them down right away or wait until the weekend. I'm on vacation but the only plan is to meet up with Newty for a half day so I've got plenty of time on my hands. @SamSmith yes it was intentional to take a vacation for harvest. That whole planning thing...

Those plants have growned beast mode! Look at that size of those branches! The colas couldn't be anything else than huge! Wonderful job Ase!

Hell ya super close together! I just thought of this, have you found any strains that you would monocrop? I’d love to see you monocrop a nice scrog!

Are you referring monocropping in terms of growing the same strain over and over or in terms of just growing a giant monster in one tent and scrogging it?

I think the Super Iced Grapefruit and the Purple Envy are contenders for that. They've been really stable genetics and all have looked the same. I'd add Crown Royale to that list judging by my girlfriends grow. I'd love to do a monocrop and just keep cloning and doing it over and over in one of my tents but I've been so spoiled by getting to try all these different strains all the time. I used to be more on the search for the right strain but now I'm realizing I am loving just trying all these different breeds. It's going to be very hard to do a monocrop for me. I just pretty much smoke my stuff and don't want to go to a dispensary at all. I have one friend who grows who I can exchange with but growing all one strain would be a lot of weeks of the same smoke over and over.

I bet you see me do a one plant in a 4'x4' setup with a scrog before you see me do a monocrop. I like the challenge that the one plant in a tent brings even though I still don't like the concept of having a full yield of just one strain.

Since you have 2 flower tents, couldn’t you do 1 tent monocrop and one tent still hunt different cultivars? But I totally feel you on one strain, I at least have to have 2 strains to smoke on

Yeah you are right. I could do that. I may have to think about it. I find that my tolerance gets built up to one or two strains pretty quickly and that would be my only concern (having that much of one strain). I have about 10 strains in my stash right now if that shows the variety I deal with on a day to day basis . I guess I've always just thought I'd start monocropping when I finally buy a house so I never really thought of splitting the tents. I think my main issue with that is I'd love to do a real monocrop and do it over and over and over. I like when you run into people that have certain strains perfected and always have it. I think I've just told myself to keep trying new strains and then when I get my own house I'll know what I want to monocrop so I never really though about doing it.

Thanks Flash! They are finishing and I am very happy with this whole grow. It was nearly perfect and I'm 99% sure I'll finally hit my goals and likely surpass them.
