Arteekay's Second Grow - Autos & Feminized - Mixed Strains

That LS2 is beautiful, love that color and shape. Another home run on training. It's getting to easy with your experience. Nice job.

Your ladies are looking awesome RTK!!! :thumb: thinking of putting a few of ours in bondage soon and give it a try

You won't regret it. We set out to let our first 6 go untrained, but ended up doing some on the final 3 just due to space. In an indoor grow, I believe getting more of the foliage into the narrow height sweet spot for your lights is undeniably beneficial.

She's completely different than our first Lemon Skunk, which has me a little concerned. Our first was incredible, best so far, if this one is "different", it might not be as good in the end.

We're going to give her one more round of veg nutes, and oddly enough I just checked the spreadsheet for our first and she only got veg nutes twice, once at quarter strength and again at half, then straight onto bloom. That said, I didn't have the room to really stretch her out like I usually do, so it shouldn't be surprising she's taller and structured differently.

August 12 (Friday) Update.

Autos: Train Wreck is 63, Quarter Pounder is 51, our second Lemon Skunk is 36 days, our second Red Poison is 12, and finally our third Northern Lights 11 days old. They are on an 20/4 schedule and are 15-21 inches from their lights.

Photos: POW 33 and White Widow are both 15 days old today.

Temps remain 82-85 during lights on, down to 69 during their night. Humidity is 50%

Heading out of town for the weekend to attend a wedding, and I'll have to be away from my babies for a full 36 hours! They'll be fine, they have Jaybiz to look after them, but I haven't been away from them this long since Christmas. :)

Neither of our two youngest autos are ready for topping at our now usual 12 days. I'll let them hit 14 this time I think. Sadly I missed both of them for pics today.

I really want to expand out into other autos than just the two breeders we've worked with so far. Recommendations? We've got a good assortment of photos still to try, but our auto selection is starting to feel a bit narrow.

Have you tried any Bomb seeds? Highly recommended. I'd like to see you tackle a Carnival under that SCROG someday. What fun that would be. :battingeyelashes:  She's a mighty potent sativa.

I've noticed you aren't yet growing a CBD dominant. How am I going to convince you to try capsules to quell the neural storms if you don't have at least one CBD-dominant plant among yours?

The Tetris comment back on Wednesday made me laugh right out loud. Always such a delight to visit here. It feels like home. :hugs:

Geez arteekay, I was three days back. *sigh*. I'm all caught up now though, so it's all good. :laughtwo:

Possibly your best picture that I've seen. Thank you for this one. :hugs:

Have a safe and joy-filled trip. :battingeyelashes:

SweetSue guided me to this thread. She told me you are the auto's expert on the site so I'm here to learn and admire your good work. I plan on going all auto's my next grow so I'll be going back through the thread looking for knowledge. :passitleft:

This site is packed full of incredible growers and connoisseurs, but if anyone tells you they are an expert... Run away, don't walk, as fast as you can. :)

The basic rules Sue posted will get you good harvests from autos. In my opinion, adding in an early topping followed by a few weeks of LST training can double or triple them.

We've got our second Sweet Seeds Red Poison auto at 11 days, and our third Crop King Seeds Northern Lights auto at 12.

Here's our first Red Poison's life story:

Red Poison

And our first and second Northern Lights, both from our first grow and journal and before we knew anything about what we were doing.

"Trudy"

"Tall NL"

To compare against a plant I feel we did our best with, here's our third Early Miss:

EM3

I'm a big fan of the autos obviously, love the Cannabis-on-speed lifecycle and the fact that I can leave the tent at 20/4 continually and cycle new plants in on whatever shedule you can handle. We've settled on every two weeks, but it does get crowded when something like our current Canuk Seeds Quarter Pounder shows up.

I'll have to check them out, any specific auto you'd recommend from them? For photos we still have a half dozen or so strains to try out, so the Carnival will probably have to wait for the new grow space this fall. You've yet to steer me wrong on strain selections, so I'll happily commit to a carnival under Jaybiz's scrog.

I would do capsules, if I could ever figure out how the hell you guys are getting them to stay lit.

We did pick a couple of CKS's higher CBD auto strains, but I think we're a ways away from capsules honestly. Still working on perfecting our bho, and of course my big brother Shiggs is damned near forcing me to get a rosin press...

Next year, keep at me please.

Amazing work:bravo:

Thanks Mr. McGert, and thanks for stopping by for a visit. I'll swing by and return the favor after the weekend craziness.

:passitleft: and :high-five:

Really? Why am I not seeing it? I meant to caption it to indicate it's the accidental topping from a week or so back and forgot before hitting post.

She's a stretchy one, eh? And we're just gluttonous enough to give her another round of veg nutes. :)

I have yet to come across a grower unhappy with any of the Bomb seeds. My only experience has been with their THC Bomb. I'll have to try her again.

She was 2 ounces for a wet-behind-the-ears rookie who's husband was dying at the time. I'll always remember her fondly. My second harvest of my first grow. *sigh*. It's like a love affair, isn't it? :laughtwo:

I'm early this time, didn't miss the harvest :yahoo: Two weeks of catching up on 127 subscriptions and as usual I save the best for last. How the stash these days.. Is it stacking up yet? I'm always impressed with the ladies you guys are putting out. That train wreck is looking beefy, is there a scrog under the QP? If not that's some widespread training :thumb: keep up the good work guys and...

KiG :green_heart:cheers

Damn Snid. I don't even entertain the thought that I stand a rat's chance of catching up on my list. Reps for that baby. :high-five:

Lol it wasn't easy, I was like... OK just two more then you can take a break. My break Which included medicating and looking at more journals. It was a long haul, lots of posts and even a few missed harvests. RTK being the inspiration, I always save this journal for last. :Namaste:

:thanks: Sweet Sue for the reps, it's a kick in the pants to keep up on my subscriptions instead of letting them build up.

Order in progress, I think we'll try their cherry or berry bomb as well. Thanks Sue!

Our second Harvest was our Trudy, arguably the most memorable from our first grow. We'll never forget our firsts.

Wow bud. I'm so far behind I sometimes feel like giving up... but just can't. :)

Our stash disappears about as fast as we can grow it. I'm still not real comfortable sitting on quantity.

There's no scrog under the Quarter Pounder. She's a great strain and I look forward to growing her again, hopefully next time we'll remember she's a hungry one and we won't starve her for a week. Next one will have to go up more than out, she's taken over half the damned tent.

Thanks for the visit Snid, and keeping some traffic here while I was out for the weekend. :high-five:

:adore:

This is the first journal I read after a little break. As always, great work.

Max my man! Good to see ya. Thanks for the likes!

Very quick update tonight, just got back from a bit of a whirlwind weekend, out of province for my sister's wedding. Woot.

I get my kitten tomorrow, which I do consider another woot.

Max! There you are. Welcome back. :hugs: I know, aren't they great? One of my favorite stops.

The Lemon Skunk is a must order for me. Watching this one grow makes my skin tingle. :laughtwo:

Not so much of a train wreck anymore. This is a great save. What a magnificent stand of colas. :high-five:

I'm in awe of how beautifully you control all those canopies. If I could hit you with double reps I would.

Train Wreck looks awesome, getting close. It's a joy to see what I'd like to grow but never have the time. I get to live vicariously through you tow. Great job.
