Arteekay's Second Grow - Autos & Feminized - Mixed Strains

She's beautiful!!! I'm assuming from a good breeder? Smart man. Reps for that one alone.

Your Train Wreck's laughing at your attempt to contain it. It reminds me of Graytail and his battles with Tikal. :laughtwo: Gosh your plants look so good. I wish to God we were neighbors. :battingeyelashes:

I pulled the trigger today, kept looking at the pictures I've been getting from the breeder and couldn't take it anymore. She needs to stay with mom for another 4 weeks minimum, so she'll be arriving in her forever home late next month.

It does feel a bit early since I just lost my tiny little Tuxedo last Friday, but I knew her time was short 6 months ago, so I've been coming to terms with it for a while.

Our Train Wreck seems to have improved following yesterday's flush, but she isn't going to produce at our now usual levels. Amnesia Haze is out of control, but thankfully finishing very soon.

Virtual neighbors at least, and we do have a spare room if you're ever in Canada for a trip. Pigeons is just down the road as well. :)

Great work, Brother! +REPS! :bravo:

Cat looks very cool!

Sue, you beat me to this one! :)

Thanks Mr. Krip! We put some time into them for sure.

July 19 (Tuesday) Update.

Autos: Cheryl (Amnesia Haze) is 68, Early Miss 3 is 54, Train Wreck is 39, Quarter Pounder is 27, and our second Lemon Skunk is 12 days old. They are on an 20/4 schedule and are 15-21 inches from their lights.

Photos: Purple Kush is 105 days old (day 40 since flipping to 12/12). She is 11 inches from her main light.

Our second Lemon Skunk auto is right on schedule and was topped at 12 days above ground.

I meant to go back down after supper and spread our first Quarter Pounder out a little wider, but I ended up spending hours doing more research on the Bengal cat breed, followed by some brainstorming of names with my daughter and a couple friends.

Current frontrunner is Sydney (Syd for short), but when I mentioned it to Jaybiz the first words out of his mouth were "oh, like in Ice Age". Hmmm. not sure I want to name her after a sloth with a speech impediment.

Anyway.

She's definately the one for you. What a beauty. That breeder knows how to close a sale, eh? :laughtwo:

If I'm ever out your way, I'll take you up on the room offer. You never know. :battingeyelashes: If I get out that way it'll be by way of Pigeons. He gets first visit. The man's practically family.

Your Trainwreck is living up to her name, isn't she? :laughtwo: Everyone else does what you want them too, and this one laughs and sneers, "Yeah, right." You just knew you were gonna be able to contain her with that nice frame Jay built for you. Next plant in that frame will be better behaved. You'll see to it, won't you?

Ain't that the truth! I did my usual week of research over the weekend, mostly as a distraction. Took longer to pick a breed than I expected, but I just couldn't get the Bengals out of my head. The iridescence of the pelt-life fur just looks awesome.

Hopefully we can keep her under control. We can't give in, the breed is too smart to let get away with anything.

Understood! While he was here we had a great little chat about how much we both love ya. :hugs:

She's a true multi-car derailment, right? :)

Ah well, gotta push too far occasionally to know where the line is.

The next one in the frame will be a strain we've grown well at least twice, and our next Train Wreck will be in a fabric 5 gallon.

This is why I do edibles - I've had the bowl on the water pipe loaded and ready to go for 90 minutes, trying to pull away from the iPad long enough to take the time to actually smoke it. Smoking for me was a shared experience for 35 years. I can't seem to get the hang of doing it right anymore.

Before my daughter moved out and Jaybiz moved in, I did a one-hitter or small pipe in the shed. Here's an odd thing I don't think I've talked about before... Jaybiz and I have been friends for more than 20 years, but he moved away for about a decade and we lost touch. Before he moved he smoked with me about twice. It was only after he moved back that he was a full time daily user.

Saw me enjoying it for years, but it took a decade in the woods to figure it out. :)

So much missed time, I think he's trying to get caught up now. Neither of us has ever had quality and quantity like this.

I've really been wanting to grow some Purple Kush so I'll be pulling up a chair to hang out a bit if you don't mind! :lot-o-toke:

Welcome to :420: Beavis, Do you need THC for your bonghole? :)

I'm a little surprised that username was never claimed, right?

Take over the front row bud, it's mostly emptied out now that I don't entertain as much with foolishness. We're mainly focused on autos right now, this PK is only our second photoperiod and scrog, double topped and weaved into the screen. Our first was fimmed and stuffed back under.

She's got three weeks of flowering left by the breeders schedule. I think she'll be close if not right on time.

At least I figured it out eventually! And if there are copious amounts available.. Well... You know where I'm going with that... :)

Your girls always look so awesome, we hope we can get ours looking like yours one day. Fantastic job man, just fantastic!!!!

I just checked out your setup over at your new journal, fantastic to see you got it into your signature now and everything. :yahoo:

You're well on your way. I remember being exactly where you were, and it wasn't even a year ago.

Great job, Brother! Buds and SCROG all look great! +REPS!

Our purple Kush never really filled her scrog, we got impatient and flipped her a bit early. Not expecting any personal bests out of her, but I think she'll do just fine.

Always appreciate a +reps! :adore:

Would you mind popping by and give our pics a look, getting some yellow on some leaves and were not sure if we should do anything or not lol, may be normal but we are clueless lol thanks.

You've good instincts. It's not normal for them to go yellow this early. Best advice I can give you is to not panic and attempt multiple fixes in quick succession, you'll just end up doing more damage, and definitely read the Proper Watering of a Potted Pot Plant thread by our water Queen Emilya, the cup of water a day isn't doing you any favours.

We give increasing amounts for the first three weeks starting around 200 ml on the day she sprouts. In today's update (yet to be posted) you'll see our 15 day old Lemon Skunk auto was dry today, and got bumped up to over 3 liters of water, last time was 2. Once she's dry again at around day 20 we'll give her the first full 6+ liter soaking with her first nutes.

If your current pots are small, your girls might have used up the available pre-load of nutes. Don't take my word on that though, I'm a Sunshine Mix #4 user, not Fox Farms.

Progression of our small test branches:

Day one

Day three

Day four, dry enough to roll and smoke

These were two of the worst branches we could find, so this bodes well for the top nugs.

July 21 (Thursday) Update.

Autos: Cheryl (Amnesia Haze) is 70, Early Miss 3 is 56, Train Wreck is 41, Quarter Pounder is 29, and our second Lemon Skunk is 14 days old. They are on an 20/4 schedule and are 15-21 inches from their lights.

Photos: Purple Kush is 107 days old (day 42 since flipping to 12/12). She is 11 inches from her main light.

  • AH got soaked to runoff with 6 liters of straight bubbled tap water. Her run off is still in the 700-800 ppm range, no need to add anything.

Another light day, obviously this will catch up on us tomorrow...

Jaybiz rolled up the last of Pigeons420's Jackalope. Blew me away as a first toke after work. Fantastic stuff!

Our first Amnesia Haze (Cheryl) got her last watering tonight. She'll now dry out until Sunday and we'll take her down mid afternoon. I was a bit rough on her for the last couple of weeks, but she'll yield well better than our average, so I really should be bitching.

Our Quarter Pounder is doing great, but desperately needs more space. We may look at letting Cheryl finish beside the PK in the other tent to free up some room.

Going great I see, every time I come by I'll want to grow another strain based on what I'm seeing here.

Cheers

Ran into a few problems, we weren't quick enough to respond to the over-feeding, and Train Wreck turned into a train wreck. :)

But we can't complain, we have our first Amnesia Haze being harvested this weekend, and the Early Miss we have coming up behind her is our best EM yet. Very happy with how she's looking.

Always good to have ya stop by bud. I really gotta get my ass over to your garden soon, been far too long.

July 22 (Friday) Update.

Autos: Cheryl (Amnesia Haze) is 71, Early Miss 3 is 57, Train Wreck is 42, Quarter Pounder is 30, and our second Lemon Skunk is 15 days old. They are on an 20/4 schedule and are 15-21 inches from their lights.

Photos: Purple Kush is 108 days old (day 43 since flipping to 12/12). She is 11 inches from her main light.

  • LS2 ended up getting 3.6 liters of bubbled tap water, split about half and half between the top and soaking up from the bottom.
  • TW got soaked with half strength bloom nutes (7.62 liters with 17.5 ml each of DNF Bloom A+B and 4 ml of calmag+) at 572 ppm and 5.8 PH @ 67 f
  • EM3 got soaked to runoff with half strength bloom nutes (4.73 liters with 16 ml each of DNF Bloom A+B, 4 ml of GO CaMg+, and .7 g of DNF Bloom Fortifier) at unknown ppm and 5.8 PH @ 67 f
  • PK got soaked to runoff with quarter strength bloom nutes (5.78 liters with 9 ml each of DNF Bloom A+B) at 346 ppm and 5.8 PH @ 67 f

Apparently went a little nuts with the camera again, sorry folks.

Yup, as predicted, our two easy days were followed by four of them all tonight.

Our first Quarter Pounder is looking fantastic, IMHO. She got her mains stretched further outward, and her side branches pulled to the ends as well. She's also slowly losing all side branches, but I'm trying to spread it out over about a week, while also not doing any defoliation.

Our second Lemon Skunk is also looking fantastic, quite happy with how she's progressing along. She's stretching a little more than our first, but that's intentional.

Cheryl, our first CKS Amnesia Haze, moved into the tent with our first Purple Kush (at 12/12) to finish out her weekend. I really needed the space in the other tent, to let QP stretch out and make room for LS2 to not have to sit in someone's shade.

Unfortunately we've had our fourth germination failure. We tried a new CKS Jack Herer auto last Sunday, she cracked open in paper towel on Tuesday, but has failed to generate a tap root. She will be replaced with a CKS Northern Lights starting tonight, our third overall but our first (Trudy) and second (so called "TallNL") were both part of our first 6 plants in our first grow and journal.

Edit: Just checked her again, and she does actually have a tiny tap root. I'll give her one more day in the paper towel to show some vigor.
