Arteekay's Second Grow - Autos & Feminized - Mixed Strains

I missed your post about the cat. So sorry my friend. :hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

Thank you for all the detail shots arteekay. They help immensely.

I missed what it was that you were less than happy with about the AH? That's one gorgeous plant. What could possibly be wrong with her? All your plants are gorgeous. You guys are the very definition of "dialed in". I need to jump back to Jay's last post and give him reps too.

Always a pleasure to visit. :hugs:

She's quite nutrient burned, that plus some bleaching. She's gonna finish ok, but she could have been better. Next time... there's always next time. :)

I had to add a bunch of internal supports to her today to keep her from falling open too much. Nugs are getting heavy!

Thanks Sue. To give you an idea how long she was in my life, she used to sleep on top of my cathode ray tube television and monitor.

Happy thoughts rtk, I have had to put down 3 dogs in my life and each one felt like I was ripping my heart from my chest. My solution has been to get a puppy ASAP or in your case a kitty. Doesn't make you forget the pet you lost, just helps with the pain.

3!! Ouch bud. I've had a half dozen pets, but they were family pets when I lived with my parents more than 20 years ago.

I'm planning on hitting the humane society in the next week or two. Thankfully there's still Jaybiz's dog and cat around to bring more heartbeats into the house.

Thanks you two. :hugs:

Edit: And Sue, ya might've missed the part about me hanging out with our friend Pigeons this afternoon, live and in person in my living room!

Truly was an awesome time!

July 16 (Saturday) Update.
Autos: Cheryl (Amnesia Haze) is 65, Early Miss 3 is 51, Train Wreck is 36, Quarter Pounder is 24, and our second Lemon Skunk is 9 days old. They are on an 20/4 schedule and are 15-21 inches from their lights.

Photos: Purple Kush is 102 days old (day 37 since flipping to 12/12). She is 11 inches from her main light.

  • EM3 got soaked with 75% strength bloom nutes (4.97 liters with 22.5 ml each of DNF Bloom A+B, 5.5 ml of GO CaMg+, and 1.1 g of DNF Bloom Fortifier) at 768 ppm and 5.8 PH @ 67 f

LS2 at 9 days (10.68 lbs, down from 11.28 yesterday):

QP at 24 days (19.66 lbs, down from 21.53 yesterday):

TW at 36 days (14.71 lbs, down from 16.26 yesterday) Stunted and wilty, but recovering:

Lost the strings, and used wires to spread her out the towards the corners. I think the early heavy pruning stunted her quite a bit. Hopefully she stretches quite a bit in flowering:

EM3 at 51 days (12.83 lbs down from 17.03 yesterday, 23.80 lbs after watering tonight):

Bonus nug from slight miss when pruning:

Cheryl (AH) at 65 days (20.75 lbs, down from 27.41 after watering yesterday):

PK at 102 days, 37 days from flipping (29.26 lbs, down from 31.88 yesterday):

Man I can tell you how awesome it was to sit and chill with you two!! Made a young pup real happy today guys! Thanks for making me feel welcome and comfortable. It was truly awesome!!

:high-five:

Here's to the start of something magical!

In all honesty I am stunned every time I check in on your journal. You guys are running a top notch garden in my opinion. I look at your techniques and it inspires me to try crazy things that I'm probably not quite ready for :laughtwo:

Keep up the good work RTK and I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your cat.

What type of medium are you using?
FFOF. I feed hydro style in soil with 20% runoff. I don't feed, water. I feed, feed. I was noticing def post water. Forcing me to burn tips to keep plants healthy. I'd not recommended this style to anyone without a good understanding of how nutes work. But it seems to keep plants healthy.

Cheers

I used to wish my dogs would live longer but then realized if they lived for 30 years it would literally kill me when I lost them.

I'm not sure that another 5, or 15 years would have made it much different for me honestly. I'm guessing after the 5th year I'm locked in for the full experience.

48 hours later, I can talk about her without choking up. Progress!!

As discussed, next time we have to do a "Pigeons420, on the road" episode! :)

Thanks Kyu. Means a lot that I felt comfortable enough to open up publicly here. 420mag rocks!

Glad you find some value in our grows, but our techniques are still in beta testing, proceed at your own risk. :)

I'm fairly sure I knew this already, but thanks for the reply. We flushed our AH and TW this evening, runoff ppm was around 770 after going in at 144. Much better than the 2100 we got from her the other night.

Oh, I was answering an questions I might have posted on wrong journal. I need to use reply function. Sorry guy.

Nope, you're all good. Jaybiz asked the question the other day.

July 17 (Sunday) Update.

Autos: Cheryl (Amnesia Haze) is 66, Early Miss 3 is 52, Train Wreck is 37, Quarter Pounder is 25, and our second Lemon Skunk is 10 days old. They are on an 20/4 schedule and are 15-21 inches from their lights.

Photos: Purple Kush is 103 days old (day 38 since flipping to 12/12). She is 11 inches from her main light.

  • LS2 got 2.4 liters of bubbled tap water at 144 ppm and 5.8 PH (600 ml down her stem, 700 ml around the edge of the pot, the rest in the tray)
  • TW got flushed with about 12 liters of the same water as LS2
  • AH got the same treatment as TW.

Both our first Amnesia Haze and our first Train Wreck autos are looking pretty overfed. Time to flush 'em and see what happens.

First time online since the start of the weekend. Just wanted to confirm what rtk was saying.. It was absolutely awesome to have Pigeons over on Saturday. Next time hopefully we can visit longer. And I love the pine and lemon from the jackelope! She's stinky!!! Well done man :goodjob: can't wait for the next time Pigeons

Making the rounds, always a sweet place to stop and see what's brewing. That PK is showing its colours nicely, the training is superb... :thumb: good job guys. Your garden reminds me of mine except yours is on steroids. Keep up the great updates, and as always...

Love your threads and humor arteekay. Interested in Crop King Seeds so I'll be subbed and watching!

Welcome aboard Tx, and welcome to 420mag! You're gonna love it here, there's no other community anything like it. :)

You arrived just in time to watch our second CKS Jack Herer, thanks to your post I was reminded I hadn't taken her out of her overnight bath and put her into her damp paper towel. Corrected. I expect her to make her first public appearance by Thursday or Friday.

She's a long strain for an auto though, scheduled for 85 days, so you'll have to stick around for a while to see her finish.

:high-five:

Now that we've plowed through the sampler Pigeons left for us, I can't help but feel she tasted almost exactly like more. Much more in fact.

We've been extremely lucky with colors, everything that could be colorful has been. I think the cooler nights helps out.

I really have little clue how we've been as successful as we have been with our autos. We're using the cheapest nutes our local hydro store has available and our LEDs are on the lower end side.

Maybe just CO2 from breathing on 'em while I endlessly and repeatedly stare at their pretty girly parts.

Girls are looking fantastic!!!! Ours are still munchkins :thumb: but they are growing :-)

Good to hear Arctic Bowl. If you need help getting a journal going, we're all here to help. We all want to share in the experience with you. :)

July 18 (Monday) Update.

Autos: Cheryl (Amnesia Haze) is 67, Early Miss 3 is 53, Train Wreck is 38, Quarter Pounder is 26, and our second Lemon Skunk is 11 days old. They are on an 20/4 schedule and are 15-21 inches from their lights.

Photos: Purple Kush is 104 days old (day 39 since flipping to 12/12). She is 11 inches from her main light.

  • EM3 got soaked with %75 strength bloom nutes (4.94 liters with 22.5 ml each of DNF Bloom A+B, 5.5 ml of GO CaMg+, and 1.1 g of DNF Bloom Fortifier) at 826 ppm and 5.8 PH @ 67 f
  • PK got flushed with 12 liters of bubble tap water at 149 ppm and 5.8 PH @ 67 f

I may have gone a little heavy on the pics tonight.

We decided to flush our first Purple Kush, hoping to stop the nutrient burn we've made her suffer for a couple weeks. Her early runoff was over 2000 ppm, but down to around 500 after running 12 liters through her. Maybe not perfect, but I feel it's much better. The next week will show it.

Using a comparable feeding schedule on our third Early Miss seems to be working out great, so we'll stick the course. I'm getting pretty excited to watch her finish, she could very end up being our thickest buds. NEM (New Early Miss, our second) was stupid dense, but was never as thickly stacked as this one nor near as frosty. This one is the first Early Miss that is getting the DNF Bloom Fortifier, which from our early results seems to be a perceptible beneficial addition. Providing of course we don't burn the crap out of them. :)

I believe yesterday's flush on Cheryl, our first Amnesia haze, was successful. The daily degradation of her fan leaves is noticeably arrested. She used a record amount of water today, so this weekend might be a little early. She'll get watered again tomorrow and Thursday for sure, so we've still got a few days to make decisions on her.

Train Wreck is still looking a mess, but continues to go through nearly 4 pounds of water a day. I don't think she's gonna set any records, and we won't judge the frame or the strain from this plant, but she'll still produce. Next in the frame and air pot will be a strain we're at least familiar with, and the next Train Wreck will be run in our usual and known 5 gallon fabric pots.

She's beautiful!!! I'm assuming from a good breeder? Smart man. Reps for that one alone.

Your Train Wreck's laughing at your attempt to contain it. It reminds me of Graytail and his battles with Tikal. :laughtwo: Gosh your plants look so good. I wish to God we were neighbors. :battingeyelashes:
