Arteekay's Second Grow - Autos & Feminized - Mixed Strains

Great update RTK
everything looks great in your garden
your plants may not be winning the PoTM right now but I am sure at the rate your going, you will hit one out of the park :thumb:

Hope you had a great weekend my friend

Thanks OG. I'm not really that concerned with winning any grow contests, we're already the coolest guys in our meatspace social group. :)

We're providing them product they all admit is better than they've had in years.

hey arteekay i also like what you did with the pvc thinking on doing some thing like that in my tents, but hey if you dont mind look at last thread link as at the end and tell me what you think and nice to meet you....

Auto Chemdog - 1st Auto Grow

Pretty sure I checked it out, but I'll run back over and see if I did or not. My advice is start a grow journal and we'll all take lots of looks!

:high-five:

LOL i was trying to figure out what went wrong with my yam yam post. I didnt mean yams like you say in USA i meant tasty like yummy yummy, but here we just say yam yam,( like chomp chomp simulates the sound of chewing something delicious).

from now on i will start posting with the google translator on. :circle-of-love:

Don't you dare! How else are we going to stop being ignorant North Americans? We need you to drop culture on us from time to time.

I'd love to do what RTK did with the pipes and net. very nice idea. I don't think I have the room though, I will need to move my babies around all the time to optimize space. With nets/scrog etc, you can't move them anymore. But it looks like the thing to do... very nice results.

Hey spacef , that plant is in a small scrog attached to the pot so it can move quite easily. So far it's easier to move around than the other girls her age because the scrog really holds the plant in place too. It will get tougher as she gets bigger but I fully expect to be able to move her right up to her harvest

It's actually Jaybiz here's SCRoG, not mine. I agree with him though, it's a treat to move her around compared to the other girls that you have to be so careful with.

Nice looking girls :thumb: good to see r2 on her way wish I.could start my next set of girls in solos but have to get repairs in the house done.... Sucks I'm really looking forward to my blackberry kush

I'll be starting another Dark Devil in a couple days as well. :)

I was showing that off to my grow team. It was a huge hit.

Cheers

Ha! That's awesome bud! Now that the Crown Royale is budding out it's getting exciting to see her every day. The SCRoG does take some of the fun out of taking photos in veg, but as Jaybiz would say "yeah, but can we smoke the pictures?!"

We don't need a stinking translator! On looking back I think we used it quite right as both Areekay's buds and la vaca are both muy yam yam (yummy)! I feel so international now.

:high-five:
Bob ;)

I know right? Culture and weed, what a great journal you guys have made this! :)

A quick question if I may chaps... Auto's weren't invented when I were a lad (if you know regional English accents then say that in a Lancashire voice). What very little I know of auto's suggests low yield, so could you remind me what kind of numbers you're typically pulling from an auto please?

My photo's are over 11 weeks old today - I'd have done my first harvest if I'd gone the auto route. Another plus is that with auto's I guess you can go perpetual with one tent? *ponders*

Well, we've only brought one grow with 6 plants through to harvest. Here's the last post on that grow listing how we did:

Arteekay's 1st Grow - Sunshine #4 - Spider x 4 - Crop King Autoflowering Mix Strains

21.3 oz off the 6 plants, which was beyond our expectations and requirements.

I'm thinking we'll always have an auto tent going, as it's exactly as you say, just keep pitching new seedlings in and the 18/6 schedule is perpetual.

Ever consider going to 20/4 on the light scheduling? I made that decision after listening to Atrain. He and I both started with the 18/6 and in the end he swore by the 20/4 with autos. So far I'm liking what I see.

March 7 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 68 days old. DD is 57 days old. R2 is 4 days old. CR is 18 days since her flip to 12/12.

CR is on 12/12 now 10-11 inches below the Spider x4, Temp is 78 and RH is 54% at the canopy, 77 and 56% at the top. Overnight was 67 and 43%

Temp for JH, NEM, DD and R2 peaked at 84 today with RH at 51% during lights on, and 69 and 55% overnight. They are on an 18/6 schedule and are 12-14 inches below a pair of Mars II 900s. R2 is off to the side and is about 30 inches from the lights.

  • DD and NEM were each flushed with 8 liters of quarter strength DNF Bloom A+B at 370ppm and 5.7 PH
  • JH was soaked with full strength DNF Bloom A+B and GO CaMg+, and third strength DNF Bloom Fortifier at 1050ppm and 5.7 PH
  • R2 got 300ml of bubbled tap water in a small circle around her stem. I also put 120ml right around the edge of the pot and lightly misted the entire top and the fabric sides.

We've decided to start the flush with weak nutes in preparation to finish off the Dark Devil and New Early Miss. DD will get at least one more, so she's likely got about 6 days left to live. NEM is darker green and bigger, so she'll get two or three flushes before we dry her out and chop her down.

Getting excited to see them hanging up to dry.

R2 (6.2 lbs down from 6.6 yesterday, 7.6 after watering):

CR (22.6 lbs, down from 26.2 yesterday):

DD (10.8 lbs down from 13.6 yesterday, 22.4 lbs after watering):

NEM (10.4 lbs down from 14.4 yesterday, 23.4 lbs after watering):

JH (12.8 lbs down from 19.2 yesterday, 24.0 lbs after watering):

NEM and DD out for watering together:

Your plants are going strong. CR, my fav, is really starting to take off. Congrats on the new one R2 or as I have affectionately named her R2K!

Dammit Mz! Where were you a week ago when we were planning the new additions? I want to rename her as you suggest, but check this out...

We're adding a second Dark Devil as well, so we'll have R2 and D2. Kismet right? We can even start a third Candy Cane for a C3, but can't figure out how I can get a P0 in there anyhow. Could do a Purple Kush and claim binary numbering starting at 0, but if feels like a cludge. :)

Oh man Sue, you've no idea the hours I've debated this in my head. I had my first set of girls at 19/5 for a while just to split the difference, but eventually just went to 18/6 because I thought it was the most common.

I'm all about giving them as much light as I can, it's the one big advantage of autoflowers IMHO. I think I'll start experimenting again now that you bring it up. Most important thing for me is a cold night for color changes. As long as I can bottom out about 15 degrees lower than the daytime I'm happy.

"R2K"

That's genius!

:adore:

See above. I'm horribly torn now. :)

P0 is pineapple fields bro.

Spacef, THAT is a fantastic idea!!!!! hmmm... may have to give that some thought too. It's not hard to move around (not yet anyway) but wheels make a lot of sense. That is is just brilliant! *Wheels turning* :goodjob::thumb:

Looking awesome man!!!

If it's not too much trouble, would you mind throwing in dimensions, specifically JH, next update, bud? I'm trying to figure out how far behind I am, hahaha

Mine took a beating. Stressing them during the stretch was pretty bad. I kept looking back at yours at my age and I was looking comparable...until I went away for a few days.

Also, you are still using the 4x4 Secret Jardin, right?

Thanks buddy!
Peace.

P0 is pineapple fields bro.

Oh yeah it is, that's perfect! I'll likely need to do a p0-2 or 3 at least to make fairly sure I get a girl, but I'll make it work. :)

Subbed. I'm doing a multi grow also Arteekay. Adding several new strains to my seedbank, so I'll be making seeds with each of my new strains. Looks like I'm a little further along. Check out my grow journal in my signature.

Welcome Paul, I think I've already been over, but if not it'll be up next.

Great idea, been a long time since we took any kind of a measurement of them besides weight. They'll be included in tonight's update.

The 4x4 Secret Jardin (DS120 v 1.5 I think, prior to the "stronger" plastic corners) is where the Spider x4 and Jaybiz's Crown Royale and veggies live. There's a better than good chance of it becoming a drying tent in the near future.

Subbed!

gorgeous ladies, keep it up man!

Thanks Beands, welcome! You made it just in time for the harvests to start in the coming days. :)

I can't wait to see tonight's update. Pretty, pretty plants guys. Make my mouth water every time I stop in. Jay, that screen is amazing. I'll be back later. :battingeyelashes:

March 8 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 69 days old. DD is 58 days old. R2 is 5 days old. CR is 19 days since her flip to 12/12.

CR is on 12/12 now 10-11 inches below the Spider x4, Temp is 78 and RH is 53% at the canopy, 77 and 55% at the top. Overnight was 68 and 60%

Temp for JH, NEM, DD and R2 peaked at 86 today with RH at 47% during lights on, and 70 and 55% overnight. They are on an 18/6 schedule and are 12-14 inches below a pair of Mars II 900s. R2 is off to the side and is about 30 inches from the lights.

Another night where everyone was happy, which means tomorrow will be busy. So tonight I again went a little crazy with the photos.

As requested, today's update includes some dimensional measurements as well.

Family pics:

CR (20 lbs, down from 22.6 yesterday) She is 12 inches high, and of course 24 long by 24 wide:

R2 (6.8 lbs, down from 7.6 yesterday) hehe, 1 inch high, 1.25 inches long and .75 inches wide. She's almost ready to harvest, just needs another 70 days or so to swell up :) :

DD (19.4 lbs, down from 22.4 after watering yesterday) 15 inches high, 12 inches wide and 18 inches long:

JH (17.4 lbs, down from 24 lbs after watering yesterday) 20 inches high, 19 inches wide and 32 inches long:
