Arteekay's Second Grow - Autos & Feminized - Mixed Strains

Quick question, how would you pull her apart?

First auto grow, she is topped but I've never seen a plant pull her stems in post snip.

Carefully and slowly over the course of a couple three four days. :) Probably not the answer you were looking for.

Sorry man, I'm not sure I'm experienced enough to really offer any real suggestions based only on pictures. The best judge will always be the guy in the same room.

Your pots look like they'd be great to tie off to though. It's interesting how tight she is vertically, eh? Don't think I've seen a pic like it either, so I'll be interested to see what ya end up doing with her.

That is a bad ass prize pack. You two work hard on your journal's so its well deserved.

Thanks man, I'm looking forward to researching those seeds and figuring out what I actually have. They really didn't give any criteria by which they would be picking winners, but I'm not about to question it now! :high-five:

Sweet haul rtk. Congrats.

Thanks man, what an incredible site we have here, eh?

Sweet stoner package. That's so much swag, you got clothes for everyday of the week. Wear it proud buddy, don't forget to share with the Bizzle.

KiG :green_heart: cheers

Bizzle who?

Seriously though, most of the stuff I've won benefits us both, but the journal and my commitment to this site are very separate from our joint grows.

In other words, he has a bit more of a social life outside this site than I do. :)

Love the sweet prizes you got in the package :thumb: :goodjob:

Awesome prizes RTK!

Thanks all. Make sure to keep your eyes on the sponsor subforums for the next round of awesome contests and prizes.

:circle-of-love: :420:

Forgive me all, but I'm contractually obligated (bad deal I made with an inner demon) to post yesterday's update that the site outage prevented me from doing before I went to bed last night.

Feb 23 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 55 days old. DD is 44 days old. CR is 6 days since her flip to 12/12.

(Didn't record temp/rh stats as I do it when I post, process or tech improvement required. Anybody remember who posted that cool temp/rh sensor that you can join to your wifi network?)

Quiet night, nobody required anything so Jaybiz took the opportunity to rework his tent now that Britney isn't in there. The humidifier is out and the cfl is lighting up his veggies. Makes CR's pics kinda cool I think.

CR (27.8 lbs, down from 30 after watering yesterday):

DD (18 lbs, down from 21.6 after watering yesterday):

JH (17.8 lbs, down from 22.8 after watering yesterday):

NEM (19.2 lbs, not weighed after watering yesterday):

Back in the tent:

Good morning RTK great looking journal
I really like how you weigh your pots with your plants to see how much water they have consumed, when I figured out why you were doing it, I had to say "DOH" in my best Homer Simpson impersonation. I may have to start doing that myself, I can see where that would really simplify the whole when to water question.

Keep up the great work my friend

Good evening good sir. :thankyou:

I've had experienced growers laugh at me when I tell them I do it, but I'm ok with it. It's a compulsion of course, but a handy one! I keep thinking that once I get a real feel for it I'll stop, but I may be just trying to fool myself. :)

Feb 24 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 56 days old. DD is 45 days old. CR is 7 days since her flip to 12/12.

CR is on 12/12 14 inches below the Spider x4, Temp is 79 and RH is 50% at the canopy, 78 and 52% at the top. Overnight was 69 and 53%

Temp for JH, NEM and DD peaked at 86 today with RH at 46% during lights on, and 68 and 49% overnight. They are on an 18/6 schedule and are 14-15 inches below a pair of Mars II 900s.

  • JH was partially flushed with 7 liters of quarter strength DNF Bloom A+B and full strength calmag+ at 511ppm and 5.7

Decided to do a bit of a partial flush on my Jack Herer autoflower. She's been getting full strength nutes every watering for a while and I don't want to overdo her too much. She'll go back to full strength when she's dry likely on Friday. My New Early Miss will get the same treatment tomorrow, as she's actually showing a bit of overfertilization.

CR (24.4 lbs, down from 27.8 yesterday) finally picking up on her water usage:

DD (14.4 lbs, down from 18.0 yesterday):

NEM (13.0 lbs, down from 19.2 yesterday) She's going to be dead empty tomorrow, but she hasn't been really dry in weeks:

JH (11.4 lbs down from 17.8 yesterday, 23.4 lbs after watering today):

Back in the tent:

Wow arteekay, if my DDA and AJH look anything like yours in the end I'm going to be one happy camper. I can't believe the growth you have going on the DDA. Dang mister. :high-five:

My auto JH is pretty slow to wake up, so she's always droopy in her daily pics. She looks great two or three hours after I'm done playing with them for the day.

I'm kinda thrilled with the DDA honestly, but I'm excited to see Rifleman's in the coming weeks. I see mine as finishing up and have to stop myself from popping another right away. I don't want to not have her kind in my garden, just so unique and beautiful.

I had an OG Kush that was this finicky. Every time I touched her fan leaves she would recoil in horror, and then droop for 3hrs lol

Feb 25 Update. JH, CR, and NEM are 57 days old. DD is 46 days old. CR is 8 days since her flip to 12/12.

CR is on 12/12 14 inches below the Spider x4, Temp is 77 and RH is 46% at the canopy, 77 and 48% at the top. Overnight was 69 and 49%

Temp for JH, NEM and DD peaked at 83 today with RH at 51% during lights on, and 68 and 53% overnight. They are on an 18/6 schedule and are 14-15 inches below a pair of Mars II 900s.

  • DD was soaked with 7 liters of half strength DNF Bloom A+B and 75% strength calmag+ at 669ppm and 5.7 PH
  • NEM was soaked with 8 liters of quarter strength DNF Bloom A+B and 75% stregnth calmag+ at 519ppm and 5.7 PH

Decided to give my Dark Devil and New Early Miss a bit of a flush with some weaker nutes. Otherwise quiet day.

Family pics:

CR (21.2 lbs, down from 24.4 yesterday):

DD (10.6 lbs down from 14.4 yesterday, 22.2 lbs after watering):

JH (15.8 lbs, down from 23.4 after watering yesterday) Still sleepy, Friday night's picks I'll take after she's been up for a while. She doesn't look this droopy all the time:

NEM (9.2 lbs down from 13.0 yesterday, 22.4 lbs after watering):

Back in the tent:

Jaybiz's veggies, all sprouted by his peppers.

DD is killing it, love that color. Everyone is showing frost and swelling nicely.

Cheers

+reps on the update. Im really liking the DD colors. Feels like beating a dead horse saying that. Since its been said a gagillion times lol, but w.e guess there's no such thing as complimenting someone to much. Keep it up & and don't torture and kill jaybiz btk

Looking great fellas. I love that NEM, just a really pretty plant. I like that you are continuing the low strength nute flushes. That's something that took me many years to figure out but just makes so much more sense when you think about it. With full water flushes it must be so drastic a change for the plants roots, like someone instantly teleported all the ions away. And if a deficiency were about to take place it certainly will after water flush.
Dilute nute flushes keep the plant going. They also help unlock nutes from the soil and carry excess away. Pure water is not as good at unlocking nutes from the soil.

Plus why would we literally starve the plant? When I do a 3 day fast I still drink green tea with a touch of cayenne and maple syrup. Plants don't like full starvation either. Especially the last three week "bulk up" phase. What seeds are going in after this second run? If you are like me you are always excited about the next new girl haha.

Yea... What he said!! :)

Already feeling some empty nest syndrome. DD and NEM are getting old on me. :)

Thanks Fopho, I always enjoy hearing it. It's more entertaining when there's problems, knock on wood we haven't had too much drama in this grow.

Torture, then kill. Well that makes a lot more sense. Thanks man!

I'm convinced, the logic is consistent and I've had the results expected when I followed your advice on our first grow. All our weed is top notch by all current accounts and is smooth, tasty and burns well. Not changing a thing there anytime soon.

If you find I've done a 3 day fast, please call for assistance or cleanup, as I'm either in a coma or dead. :)

Jaybiz is itching to start a CKS Purple Kush, I wanna run a couple Pineapple Fields of course and either a CKS Amnesia Haze or the Lemon Skunk auto freebee I got with my Dark Devil, or another Dark Devil. Or one of the seeds I got from Haze.io.

Just noticed my new Revolver has now been 6 days in damp paper towel, so I'll be giving up on her and trying another one. Really want some more Revolver sooner than later so she's getting added to the end of this grow.

Do you start the weak nute flush at the same time most start a full flush, or do you work it up to that?

Man, I hope those branches are real strong, buds are packing some weight fast!

We did weak nutes for about a week before chopping on the last couple and really liked how they looked, harvested and tasted after drying and curing, so we'll be sticking with that for now. I waited until they slowed down on water usage and just started soon after that.

I'm likely going to have to come up with something soon to support her widest nugs. I stretched her out farther than I likely should have for her to support herself well.
