I think I'm most impressed with the monster stalks you two grow. Man, I keep going back and looking at them. They'd support monster colas. Geez, I should be watching you two closer. Nice structure in the training. Mighty impressed.
I love the fact that all you Dark Devil Auto growers can grow circles around me.
That is one gorgeous specimen. I hope she goes really dark and dense on you. She's certainly got the time.
In fairness, it's all autoflower stalks you're seeing right now, not sure if they are generally more monstrous than photos or if we can take any credit for them at all. I do keep them dancing pretty heavily right from sprout to try to thicken up the stalks to later support nugs.
I think I've got at least another three or four weeks for this Dark Devil, and it'll be too short no matter how long it is. I just love her. May have to sprout a new one sooner than I'd originally planned.
As for growing circles around you, can't imagine that'll hold for much longer, if it was ever even true, with all the tech you got from MOTY and the incredible amount of traffic on your journal.
As a newbie, I didn't get to experience your past grow(s) with ya. I won't be so unlucky this time.
I know ss#4 already comes with some added amendment's, but from what you described it happened a few weeks into flower this time and last. Made me think it has probably been used up. I've never used SS#4, but I know soilless mixes absorb calcium like mad. Its just one of the cons of soilless. It gets absorbed in the coco fiber. Or that's what I took from all the reviews and reading
material I found on the subject. Calcium deficiency was the most common. Even when given 4 times the recommended dosages of cal/mag. This could of been on real heavy feeders though I dunno. Epsom salt helps in the uptake of calcium as well. Has no calcium itself(magnesium)
Dolomite Lime is calcium magnesium carbonate
Hehehe, thanks Fopho, I could have looked that up but didn't. Easier to let you do my research for me.
Kidding of course.
Last time is a bit of an unfair comparison for this medium, since we were on the cold concrete. I knew LEDs are common as well for requiring additional Calcium, but really figured our tap water and full strength calmag+ would cover it. It's pretty light (thank god) and I'm not going to worry about it for this grow other than playing with our PH to see if that'll help or hurt.
Next grow is going to be in Doc's kit, so we'll have to retrain a bit for that over this SS #4.
