Nah, it will get you through until you get dialed in. Way better setups but its cheap and it works OK . can't wait to see what the 2 of you come up with

Beautifully done journaling on Trudy. I love the time lapse effect of showing all the pics together. She really ended up a POTM contender. You guys should take careful pics so the best plant you do can get entered.

It's currently a approximately 2 by 6 closet, maybe a little bigger, with two bifold doors to "seal" them in. Inside we have a cool mist humidifier on low, keeping it about 55% when the rest of the house is 29%. It's loud as hell honestly. I'd like to try it on high, but fear the fan noise will be noticeable down the street. Beside that we have a little fan, also on low blowing air across and around the new oil filled radiator, also on low and keeping it a steady 72.5 to 73.5 all day. It won't be anywhere near light proof, but we're thinking we're not going to be that concerned about it for the first grow or two.

Smell is a bit of an issue. If anything else in there needs improvement, I'll happily take suggestions!

Each will get their own, now that I've done Droops and Trudy like that, I have to do the rest. Knock knock Penny, etc...

You are far too kind to her to say she's even in the same league as some of this month's POTM. She's the Miss Congeniality of the pageant circle at best.

I'm hoping the camera the kiddo brings over significantly improves the journal's picture quality, and we've already talked about improving the picture and daily adoration area. Maybe by the time Rev or Brit is finishing up. Or if Rev's twin tops get as cool as I hope they will, I might try it in the NOTM someday.

When Biz and I were downstairs last night getting ready to finish off Trudy, he was reaching into the tent to get her and I stopped him with a "We need pictures first!".

It was then I realized I'm the mom, annoying her kids with the damned camera before a first school dance, graduation, pretty much any excuse to force the kids to smile for the camera..

As a single father since my daughter was 2, I got "Mr. Mom" for a decade, I just didn't realize how true that has become.

We trimmed Droopy up today a bit more, still too early for a good manicure but we figured we'd clean her up a bit. She was too early for sure, we just didn't have the space to finish the 6 with our experience levels, and we were getting desperate for a restocking and just could NOT bring ourselves to buy another ounce from someone else.

The drying method is completely in flux. We've decided on the closet for now, but the tent was in tight contention. I can't imagine we'll continue to use the closet though, the smell is a bit too much for our comfort level.

I considered a small tent, something around 2 by 2 and 2 or 3 feet high. Still may make it into our future setups.

Skill hasn't come into it yet. Some disposable cash, tons of reading and watching videos, and a lot of hard work in maintenance and setup changes.

Oh, and of course the most important factor, this forum and it's incredible membership.

I think this journal is a good example of what can happen when all four of those exist together. Without even one of them this grow would have ended in abject failure. I can say that with full confidence.

Single post update today. Nobody lost their pot, and only one didn't need a drink.

  • Brit got full strength DNF Bloom A+B and half strength calmag+ at 803ppm and 5.8 PH. We didn't support her yet, but we need to as soon as we can stop cutting her sisters down for a day or two. :)
  • Rev got half strength DNF Bloom A+B and quarter strength calmag+ at 560ppm and 5.8 PH. She's been on half strength now for two feedings, down from 4 days of three quarter stength before that. We'll keep her at half for another couple of days.
  • Candi stayed at three quarter strength DNF Bloom A+B and half strength calmag+ at 589ppm and 5.7 PH. She's been on three quarter strength for four days now.

I'm sure I took the usual before family pics, but they weren't on the camera. I may need to just go buy a decent one soon.

The two strongest of the first four that suffered the cold feet, and the two airpots that are too small and overfilled, but were insulated by airspace and weren't affected by it. The last two also benefitted from our then 8 full days of previous experience. And of course Britney, who apparently loved her EST via light fixture slam dancing. It put her back, but she's huge (for us).

I'd actually recommend first timers planning to grow a few autos to do up one a week for three or four weeks, so you have some experience with each stage for the next seed to get there. More work of course, but having two that were younger than the four definitely helped us and them.

I started with a couple photos a couple months ago and they are in week 3 of flower, I didn't have any intention of any more then 2 but then I saw the Dark Devi, well needless to say I bought another tent and have 5 autos going now. I got bit by the grow bug and I am totally infected....

For whatever reason I didn't want to mess with light cycles, think I'd heard decades ago that Cannabis will hermie on a dime if we got it wrong. So we just kinda got stuck on autos right from the beginning. Needless to say, the very first thing we did was spend hours on Crop King Seeds website picking autoflowering strains, so once that was out of the way we didn't look back for weeks and question that initial decision.

We started with the grand plan of two plants in a cabinet with a CFL, we now have two 4x4 tents and three LED light fixtures. I can't hide I'm also infectedl. It's wildly contagious as well I've found, direct contact is not required and it can even be spread via the Internet.

Late start to the day, got caught up in the Jet's game. Erg.

Britney was getting pretty floppy, just too tall for her little pot. We built a little frame out of bamboo stakes and looped some string around her to keep her from falling open much further.


  • Rev stayed at 50% strength DNF Bloom A+B and third strength calmag+ at 560ppm and 5.7 PH
  • Candi stayed at 75% strength DNF Bloom A+B and half strength calmag+ at 630ppm and 5.7 PH
  • Brit stayed at full strength DNF Bloom A+B and half strength calmag+ at 840ppm and 5.8 PH

Each are on daily waterings now, going through around 5 to 6 pounds of water a day, or about 2 to 3 liters each.
