How To Use Progressive Web App aka PWA On 420 Magazine Forum
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
If you open a free Vimeo account you can use the Vimeo desktop app to record your screen. There are also a bunch of other apps you can download but they usually carry adverts. I use the Vimeo one or one called Screen Recorder but the Vimeo is better. Thanks, but not mac.
Please will you tell me how to do it. I've googled but I can't follow the instructions. I can't afford to make a mistake. What you want to clear is the browser data... i.e. the "temporary cached files and pages" (as they call it in FireFox). You can safely do this for all websites. All it does is cause the browser to reload all data that displays a website, such as the graphics, etc., on your next visit to a website.
Chrome. I've tried two methods to remove cache. The first is to look for a lock icon in the URL bar but I couldn't find that. The second was to go into Chrome settings and look for site specific data, but I don't seem to be given that option. What browser are you using?
Thank you. I've used Firefox in the past. It's not my jam. Most of the website hosts ask me to use Chrome.Sorry, I'm not a Chrome user. I've used FireFox pretty much exclusively for a very long time. Why not install it and give it a shot? Very easy to install. Great browser.
Do you mean the websites that you visit actually say that they work best with Chrome? FireFox is universally accepted and is a very high quality browser. I've never encountered a website that complains about FireFox and asks specifically for Chrome... in decades. Most of the website hosts ask me to use Chrome.
Yes, specifically the print on demand websites. I don't just "visit" the sites. I am uploading content for print and managing online shops.Do you mean the websites that you visit actually say that they work best with Chrome?
I know that. I changed to Firefox for some time back in the day.FireFox is universally accepted and is a very high quality browser.
The lag is insane at the moment. It comes and goes as you may see in the video.I've never encountered a website that complains about FireFox and asks specifically for Chrome... in decades.
Sometimes this website does work slowly.
Thanks Roy. I am unhappy to do that, as it is a universal action and will effect all sites I use.Chrome Win11 - Ctrl+H to get to history
Click Clear History, then in the dialog box that comes up, untick the Cookies box
This will clear search & browsing history only, and pages with old CSS/JS embedded, forcing a fresh download
Hope that helps
OK - the other way is to go to History, search for '420' so you have a list of all cached 420mag pagesThanks Roy. I am unhappy to do that, as it is a universal action and will effect all sites I use.
Roy am I missing something? I removed the top one but all the rest remain there and I have to go through each one manually. This is not fun and I am getting very irritated with this site!OK - the other way is to go to History, search for '420' so you have a list of all cached 420mag pages
Tick the top one then on the right side menu, click 'remove'
That will select and remove only 420mag pages, nothing else
It will not affect any other pages or cookies
Hit Ctrl+A to select all of the list - that should workRoy am I missing something? I removed the top one but all the rest remain there and I have to go through each one manually. This is not fun and I am getting very irritated with this site!
Hmm, I'd rather not log into Vimeo. Here is a video demo of the site loading sluggishly. It's not too bad until the end of the video, when photos don't load.
OK. "Visit" is just a technical term that means you "go to the website" with your browser.Yes, specifically the print on demand websites. I don't just "visit" the sites. I am uploading content for print and managing online shops.
I believe you. What kind of internet connection are you on?The lag is insane at the moment. It comes and goes as you may see in the video.

I wasn't sure.OK. "Visit" is just a technical term that means you "go to the website" with your browser.
I've narrowed it down to the early hours of my day. I think the traffic to the site is higher at those times. It's when America is awake.I believe you. What kind of internet connection are you on?
Thank you!Hit Ctrl+A to select all of the list - that should work
Don't go to the end of that line and use remove, hit the 'Delete' button above the list, top right
Thanks!
That's good speed. Who is your internet provider? Are you on cable broadband? Anybody else sharing your connection (in your house, etc.)?I've narrowed it down to the early hours of my day. I think the traffic to the site is higher at those times. It's when America is awake.
Internet is as follows:
It's fiber and there's nobody else in the household. I've definitely narrowed the lag down to time of day. In a few hours when the American traffic goes to sleep, the site speed will be back to normal. That's good speed. Who is your internet provider? Are you on cable broadband?
