Arrows not working properly

This is how it's designed, unfortunately.

You can ignore the suggestions and just type out what you're looking for. You'll at least see the closest match.
But why would they change it? It makes no sense to show the list up and out of sight an not be able to scroll through them. That can't be how it's designed.

I use bookmarks a lot and have many that are similar in label so there's no way I'll remember every one.

It worked good before, now its pretty much useless.

@Marc Ocean , if we can use this thread to highlight other issues, I'll offer another.

When I click on my avatar at the top of the page, then Bookmarks, then type something in the "Filter by label" field, the results used to drop down the page, but now they go up and out of view. And I'm not able to scroll up to find the bookmark I want to reference. :hmmmm:
@InTheShed I know you use bookmarks a lot, are you having similar issues? I'm seeing it on my tablet.

I use Firefox bookmarks 95% of the time rather than site bookmarks. That said, the label search doesn't do anything for me because I've never labeled any site bookmarks. I did put key words in the Message box but that doesn't seem to be searchable.

If we're griping here about the recent site changes though I have a few, but I was waiting for a site update thread to get posted to everyone's notifications so I could put them there.

On small devices where there isn't enough screen real estate and there is supposed to be an on-screen keyboard at the bottom, the idea was for the list to go up so you can still see it even if you're typing.

Worked fine before on my tablet, now it's crap. :(

@Marc Ocean ... back to the arrows not working. I just experienced another oddity. I had three tabs open to the site, on FireFox, each to a different thread. They were open for hours while I was watching Ancient Apocalypse. When I came back to those tabs, the first tab I looked at... the arrows were gone, and moving the mouse wheel to scroll up and down the page didn't reveal the arrows. The other two threads (tabs) showed the arrows.

This is the thread (tab) that didn't have arrows:

I reloaded this page, and when I did that, 9 alerts appeared (previously none), and the arrows were once again working normally.

This page was one of two where I had made a post to the thread on Sunday night. This one was at 9:33pm my time, and the other one was at 9:43pm. It's possible that the one that showed no arrows fell into that state just after I had made the post, like I reported before.

Aha! So the pages are sometimes not reloading on their own after a post seems to be common theme. I just had another one on someone's journal thread. I had posted a response.

I wouldn't say it quite that way. When I make a post, the post is definitely stored and the page automatically reloads showing the post at the bottom of the page. Somehow, sometimes when I do this, the arrows disappear unless the page is again reloaded, manually. Other times, it works just fine. I have yet to confirm a situation where the arrows disappearing is NOT related to making a post.

Yup, that's what I figured.

I'll start a group PM with you guys when the bug is fixed for testing/observing again.

@Marc Ocean

I tried the searching bookmarks function on a pc and only two posible matches show, and both are above the input box, and the results window is not scrollable so this means my bookmarks are mostly lost/useless.

How is this possible that this is how the new changes were designed???!!?

The possible results box should go back to being below the input field and certainly show more than two possible matches and be scollable which would allow us to still see what we are typing.

This change makes NO sense.

The suggestions appearing at the top isn't new.

Send me a video of it happening on desktop (if it has a tall enough screen) to marc@420magazine.com

Don't know how to take a video. Is there an app I can use?
I was thinking of just using the phone camera to record the desktop and send it?
