Arctic Bowl's 1st Ever Attempt At A Grow Journal

We took down two of our Auto girls today, both were untopped, one Train Wreck and one Northern Lights. Not an overly impressive yeild from them but for our 1st try at this we are happy that they at least lived :-). Many thanks to everyone that is helping us out with this, no way we could have made this happen with you all helping us. We did do the 3 bucket wash and from everything we have read this far it's the thing to do. Last 3 Auto girls still have a ways to go yet, which brings us to the time that is stated by the seed companies for Autos. Well, all we can say is, no way we were going to cut these down 8 weeks from seed. Been close to 12 weeks now and they have more time left on them. Not sure if we're just not doing something right or these autos are really more like 14 week plants, not sure.
Here are a few pics from today

Buds look pretty good after the wash, the 1st bucket did get a bit nasty

Trying out the MB2 tonight as well. We melted down 2 pounds of butter and scooped off the foamy stuff and used only the clear portion which ended up being 3 cups. We added 3 Tbs of sunflower lecithin ( had no idea just how thick this stuff was, it's like molasses thick) and added about an Oz of small buds and trim. Set the machine up for 160 deg F and 2 hrs ( what the instruction booklet called for). Once it's done we will pour it out into our molded pan and let it set up. We will take some pics in about 45 min or so when it's completed.

Blessed Buds our friends. :passitleft:

Here's our canna butter we just made. It's going outside to cool off (28 deg f) shouldn't take to long. We used a Twinky tray for our mold tonight, our silicone trays have not arrived yet and we wanted to try this out. Should be some damn good twinky's. We will keep you all posted on if it's any good or not :-)

AB! You're rockin it out up there in the great NW! Nice harvest... and your garden is absolutely beautiful!!!

You been enjoying the meds? How's the budda? ;)

I've been all about the gel caps since I made them early September. Seems like you can really dial in the dose that way... and I rarely need to vape or smoke or anything else accept later in the evening when I'm ready for some overdrive. :)

I cut the Lexapro cold turkey and transitioned to the caps. Combined with some meditation, yoga, routine building, etc., I've been feeling real good and healthy for the most part.

I hope all is well with you and your wife! Thanks for the message, bud, ttys!

I don't know if this would help your humidity issue, but how about programming your exhaust fan to your light schedule? If the lights are off, you don't need an exhaust fan to vent heat, but just a small fan blowing over the ladies to ward off mold (not that you would get any at 45%).

This might raise the RH enough during lights out to keep them happy. RH changes during the day, even if you grew outdoors, so it wouldn't be all that unnatural.

Thanks everyone:thumb:

We got a little busy sorry for the delay getting back. The butter works GREAT :cheertwo: we made a pan of bars with one stick, they do have a slight canna taste to them but not overwhelming. Cut them into like 1"x 1" squares and tried one, waited like an hour, could feel a slight buzz so ate a second on like 30 min later, ahhhh, just right. So 2 bars and great times lol.

Going to be trying out some of the washed bud today, really looking forward to this test  I never use to like tests but this one Were hoping is a fun one :Hookah:. Clear sky's are forecasted for tonight with a giant moon so, hot tub, some weed and then some star gazing. Getting into the hot tub in the low teens for temps isn't too bad but, getting out.....lol better have a good plan for getting back into the house :laughtwo: hoping for a nice northern lights show while smoking some northern lights :volcano-smiley: lol and probably a little train wreck as well. Hey, it's a test so we will need to test both the northern lights and train wreck in order to pass the test right?

One more northern lights auto that wasn't topped is ready to come down so maybe tomorrow for that one. The last two autos were both topped and are a little behind, the train wreck is about another week out but the northern lights still has a ways to go.......can't rush her, she's on her own schedule

Great to see you all and thank you for stopping by our little corner of the world, we will get a few more pics today of our little harvest and the rest of the girls and get them up later this afternoon. Grow room cleaning today, lol seems Im not allergic to cleaning like I have been told a few times by my better half.

Blessed buds our friends have an Amazing day and we will see ya later on :circle-of-love:

Hi Arctic
It makes me happy to see you are pleased with your harvest. :circle-of-love:
I have been looking into Northern Light Auto myself for a while now.
It is definitely in my list
Hug wife for me :hugs:

Hello Birdie,
The Northern Lights Auto I would say is not a difficult or fussy plant at all. What we did learn is topping them does slow them down but, at the same time it looks to increase the yield. I would recommend topping them even though it extends the harvest date a bit further out. None of our autos hit the breeders claim of 8-9 weeks to harvest from seed, it's at least 12 weeks on the untopped autos and the topped autos even longer in our tent anyways.

Going test out some of the train wreck auto today and hope it's at least as good as the northern lights auto is :-)

Blessed buds our friend and hugs right back to you :circle-of-love:
