Another Brix In The Wall: Sweet Pink Stink & Coked Out Girl Scout

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

I left already. More info at Doc's Q&A. Their normal 12 hours of light is at night. Should I have my gf open the tent until it's dark out here? That will change their schedule. She cannot lift them.

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Dude we had power scare on Wednesday, I totally understand. Any idea that I come up with, you have probably thought of. Besides going and buying a generator, I don't know what you could do if you wanted to keep their night schedule. Any and all light right now will work, just can't go over 12 hours.

I know you'll get it bud. Something for your troubles.

Ah man what a bummer!! Hope this hasn't ruined anything bru, sounds like what we had here in South Africa a few years ago we had a "shortage" of power so you would just randomly be taking a crap on your throne then bam, lights off so you sit there in the dark with yer arse hanging out thinking, "How will I know when to stop wiping".... Anyhow, hope your plants will be fine bru I don't want to see them take a dive they are spectacular :passitleft:

Oh Pat, thank buddy for shining a little humor on the situation. I think I tend to make a mountain out of a mile hill and freak out a bit. Don't want my girls getting screwed up at this point. Oh, and when the lights go out, you're supposed to stop wiping.

So I opened the tent at about 2pm until now. The power is back on, I am not home so I need your help again so I can tell my gf what to do.

Lights went out at 9am yesterday and at about 9pm last night when I thought the lights were gonna come back on at 10:15 per power companies website, I hung an LED light in there but it keep going off since it wasn't charged, did that a couple times then it was dark in there until 2pm today when it got some day light.

I'm sorry I'm such a Major PITA (hi major) but can you guys let me know what you think I should do?

I'm thinking I should turn the lights on and let them go for 5 hours then off for 12 and that will be the new schedule....?

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Man I would be kicked it the knackers if this happened to me. Have they been in dark this whole time? Not too sure if you should just set the timer again starting a new cycle now or adjust it otherwise, wish I could have been more help bro but now I am not 100% sure. If the plants were in the dark I would say perhaps keep them in the dark still? Complete the dark cycle and then switch to lights on after that, but only if the lights was on...hopefully somebody can help you out for sure buddy :passitleft:

No problem brother we want somebody to help so will also quote it for peeps to see. Sucks about the storm though, we never get those over here. Will be thinking of your situation man, sending you good airie vibes :namaste:

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

The bloomers have to go back to their regular schedule, period. They're most sensitive to sunrise, and they don't care a lot about a loss of light, like the veggers do, so they'll be fine as soon as their sunrise and daylength is restored. It's better to keep bloomers in the dark too long - too much day isn't good.

It'll be ok. :cheesygrinsmiley: :thumb:

Hi Gray! Thanks but I already basically changed their schedule to lights on at 2pm and off at 2am. Should I get them back to off at 9am and on at 9pm and if so how should I do that? Keep the lights off until 9pm tonight instead of on at 2?

Thanks again!

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

Ack, that's a lot of chaos for the bloomers. Yes, if it were me, I'd leave them in the dark until 9PM. They don't easily change their daylight period. They're gonna want to stay on the 9-9 cycle.

The key is the bloom hormone, which is produced in the dark, and killed in daylight. To stay in bloom, the plants need 12 continuous hours of dark, and less than 12 continuous hours of light - more darkness than light. When they get a night that isn't 12 hours, there won't be enough bloom hormone to survive the daylight period, and they'll stall. It builds during the night and then is interrupted at sunrise.

Thanks again GT! They're back on schedule. I'm guessing I should keep an eye out for nanners. I moved my two veg girls to the garage in my other 4X4 with a 600w MH HID. Light schedule will be 16/8 off from 10am to 6pm which will help with cold nights and warm days. Wish me luck.

re: Another Brix In The Wall - Sweet Pink Stink & Girl Scout

The veg girls are back inside because it was too cold in the garage still. Everyone is still looking good.

Hah! I'm having the best time watching this grow! :cheesygrinsmiley: A hairless pheno - so cool in so many ways. How do you suppose it gets fertilized with defective pistils? :hmmm: Fascinating how genes work. And the guy said it had a good punch, too. :cheesygrinsmiley:

This is something I haven't seen in three years of haunting this site daily. What a treasure!
