Amy Gardner Of Eden: Perpetually Organic

Congrats on Nug of the Month, Amy!:woohoo:!

Congratulations, Amy on winning Nug of the Month.

I was reading through the prizes and wondering what happens if you don't want some of them? Like for example, if I'm lucky enough to ever win a contest, one of the prizes is a MB machine but I already have one so what happens then?

:cheer: Thanks Hash Girl :passitleft:

Usually folks try to find another member in need who is Stateside and see if the prize sponsor will send to them on our behalf. :)

I really am stoked that Bubba Hash got a win :cheesygrinsmiley: ... it was definitely the best plant and best nugs I have turned out so far. I’d toke some to celebrate but it’s first thing in the morning and it’s a sledgehammer sedative in its old age :laughtwo:

Congratulations on the Nug of the Month win! I forgot to vote on any of the contests last month, but I'm sure I would have voted for yours if I had the chance. A very fine nug indeed.

I’m super late but congrats on the NOTM!

Never late in my world - it’s a very very slow world that embraces lateness so fully it ceases to exist ;) so ur right on time :D

:bongrip: I was watching something on TV about collecting photographic prints, and because a print is individually produced by the (famous) photographer, there's a saying:

If the negative is the score, then the print is the performance.

I like that.

It's actually a pretty deep thought.

:bongrip:

Reckoned you'd appreciate it.

It is. It’s a lovely thing to think about.
:passitleft:

Makes me realise that most of my ‘final’ digital pics to date might then be classified as “improvised” - because my inability to spend any significant time in post-production (what used to be printing) means I try to get it ‘right’ in the lens, when I shoot. Only framing is sometimes adjusted a lot - but often not at all.

I have fond memories of using a darkroom and dodging and burning and deciding on which grade of paper and length of exposure from neg to paper - when the description of photography as “painting with light” is just as relevant as when you’re taking the photo. It was a very physical and intuitive process and the idea that that is somehow “playing” or “performing” the negative is really fecund. Watching my father printing his black and whites was definitely like watching beautiful, silent, performance art. And I can see it now - in the semi darkness of course.

Cant find much positive nostalgia about the chemicals tho!

I’m sure digital processing has a similar feel - just less body, and less toxic fumes (just toxic light!).

I need to get my camera serviced. It has an internal blight I can’t remove. I better do that this week.

For now, it’s Sunday morning. Happy weekend folks

Woohoo! Please send big pots of birthday love to your lovely other, from me!
:circle-of-love: I have echoes of her voice (and yours) in my mind from when we spoke many months ago - and can hear the space of your home in the ambience around the voices, like you often can on the phone. That’s come to my mind just now, thinking of it being her birthday and I feel like I have just dropped in there, astrally, a fleeting energetic visit.
:happy-birthday: dynamo’s
