Amy Gardner Of Eden: Perpetually Organic

Never the smart ass-... but the way I heard it was:

Kill em all & let God sort em out.

Yes, yes I’m too crass to go out in public, or maybe it was go out unattended or was it unarmed??

I get those 2 corn-fused. Seriously I’m kidding folks!

I did invite a whole herd of ladies bugs in this spring & showed them a good time. Haven’t seen any lately tho. Typical chicks - they crawled naked over my plants & split. Too bad they didn’t stick around for the fungus gnat orgy, jeez Louise I get all the luck!

That was a neat & colorul little arachnid / clover mite. Amy I hope it guards your buds to another magnificent harvest!

Update Photo dump! Early Miss day 42

Seems fairly on track to finish in 2 weeks, smells like fruity pineapple :D

:Namaste:

Update: Everyone else! :ganjamon:
Northern Lights auto continues to be twisty, with irregular leaf colouring and refuses to ever look perky. Every now and then it almost prays to the light but not for long and then it droops. It’s continuing to stretch regardless so I’ll keep trying to get it on track. It had a destress spray a couple of days ago and a 1/4 TP (transwater) today and if it still doesnt pick up more sustainedly after that I will consider a “rescue drench”. I’ll get some better photos of it for the next update, but for now... I apologise that the first one has cut off the edges - I didnt notice until just now, I’m a bit tired I guess! LoL!

Sour Bubba is looking good in terms of colour and sheen but also is prone to being droopy except for a brief period the day after watering. It also had a destress a couple of days ago (as LST was continuing) and a 1/4 trans water today. I used the dunking method today in an effort to spark the roots into gear. It’s uber droopy right now!

The structure of it is very very like the Bubba Hash. Katsu says that the SB leans to the ECSD more than the BK. My experience is limited, but this one seems very Bubba!

Pics are yesterday, droopy bit’s still some weight of water in the pot.

DDA is lovely :) I had been thinking I had the green pheno but just in the last few days some pink has started to show around the bracts. So it’s likely the “dusty pink” pheno that turns mid-flower and goes a dusty pink colour rather than deep purple. It gets deeper and deeper over time tho so it can still finish pretty dark. We will see. It’s due for a Brix foliar, along with the EM, tomorrow morning.

I’m superduperpooped right now - just had my bedtime edible and hoping for a long, long sleep :meditate:

I hope you all are getting through the week just swimmingly! Thanks for dropping by
:Namaste:

:circle-of-love: Hi Amy, I love the powerful images of your chem factories, oblivously you have the microbes working overtime. Outstanding training and beautiful color on Sour Bubba, great overhead look. Wonderful pictures as usual. How's the regrowth coming along outside on the homestead from the fires?:Namaste:

:thanks: dynamo - I love that you do :) I’m very excited about the SB. I know I love Kush and I’ve never tried a diesel strain so the anticipation is strong!

Thanks for asking about the forest. The section that burnt most heavily for us was pretty much the main outlook and we lost all the Casuarina trees in there. They are a wispy willowy kind of pine we have that are actually a type of horsetail. And 3 of the older bigger eucalyptus trees out in the forest had burnt around the bottom and we had to take them down - have them taken down, at our cost too. A few thousand  jeez! OK then. So they took some of them away but mostly we have a few big trees down that need cutting up for firewood!

Sadly the casuarina won’t come back there but the remaining small eucalypts are all fuzzy with regrowth and we still have some casuarina left in other areas - lots got bulldozed in the firefight as well. It’s actually habitat for the glossy black cockatoos I’ve shared pics of in the past and they are endangered so I’m very relieved to still have some left!

So the forest is still a little surreal to be honest, but not as much as other places I’ve seen pics of recently. And we see more water through the trees, and there are black swans on it so, silver linings. And the loss of the bigger, older trees is pretty sad, but there is a ton more light coming into that forest ... :hmmmm: :)

I hear tell that many high areas, small mountain tops etc. and other areas where the firestorms were immmensly hot, things aren’t coming back very well at all  .

I’ve been needing the little slow-combustion fire in my room lately, with it being winter here, and sometimes i get a real wave of the fire-time anxiety pass through me - especially when you open it and it roars and is so small and so friggen powerful. Talk about the sublime.

It’s Saturday morning here and I’ve been toking some DDA in the bubbler :bongrip: and realised I had left out little Panama from the update. Pics were still on my camera. I’ll just get them...

Update: Panama day 6 :yummy:

Maybe I’m more excited about this one that anything. I am still yet to even try a pure sativa since I started growing. I remember things from my youth of course, like Thai Stick and other trippy experiences.

This also marks the first grow in the new soil mix I am trying. It’s a premixed & precooked water-only soil made by a dude who goes by the name greenthumb (Or some version of that ;) ).

Even though it’s sold as water-only, I still purchased some fish hydrolysate and a seakelp fertiliser made by the same folks, and some of a product called “Root Roids” which Is a microbial additive, a “combination of Mycorrhizae & Nutrient Solubilizing Bacteria”.

I got all that stuff because I plan to ‘dilute’ the soil a bit at times and see how that goes. I also have a shed-ton of Doc Bud’s Roots! Powder which is an excellent product with Which to mix with worm castings and bubble (or shake) a tea :) so i will likely try that before I add fertiliser. It’s going to be a fun journey going forward, and I will work on my own soil mix in the background (developing a recipe and sourcing inputs).

This Panama was planted into a 1:3 blend of the supersoil and coco. I expect it will be a light to moderate feeder, likely not a heavy one at least. I may be proven wrong but I have the ferts if needed.

It’s cute how the damaged cotyledon has curled up but is still alive.

And I am noticing these little dark points on the tips of the serrations. Very groovy

Lush and green gardens to all!
:Namaste:

Highya Amy the Gardener,

Love the Early Miss. She's beautiful. Very surprising at 42 days. Great to see. Yeah, and the Sour Bubba. She looks so symmetrical. Really pleasing to look at! Looking good, Amy! Happy Smokin'

Drive by. I was reading you, Doc, Neiko & Shed so I remember. Three words - I cannot imagine. I’m so glad you are here updating on the forest you love.

Ditto Early Miss was fave but have you checked her for steroids cause she’s pumped in only 42 days, sour bubba is honking gorgeous but also has an inexplicable quality- stealth, power, cunning hmm not sure. Your DDA girl is loaded but I’m anxious to see the Panama.

Speaking of Panama. Can you imagine how many seeds we threw away? Think about it old timers, now we gotta pay for seeds. How bad was your car under the seat? Shizz y’all we could start our own seed bank. Bonus round for GenXers. What device was used to sift seeds?

Amy, I need a huge favor and will pay shipping costs. Will you please clone your green thumb?

To the rest of you suckers.... ha, ha, ha - I’ve got dibs!

Good day or night to all & please be safe out there!

‘Honking‘ is a good word for that :D Thanks thirteen!

I had to come back and drop these of NLa and SB today - the day after their drenches. NL is finally showing some excitement! That’s the perkiest it’s been. And SB has some spark as well. We shall see if it lasts beyond today!

:ciao: :surf: :nomo:

The Sour Bubba is just beautiful- Northern Lights is looking good/better too!
The drench seems to have made them both very happy!

What device was used to sift seeds?
Back in the high school days, my mom used to have to retrieve her cookie sheet from my room when she'd bake stuff- she never did ask why it was always in there...

All your plants are looking amazing!!

I hope you don’t mind if I hang around and enjoy the show.

we will be trying some 20:1 CBD in the next round in the tent. Still have a bunch left from greenhouse last year that we make oil from. Great meds!

hang around and enjoy the show.
Please do! :welcome: Kanda! Thank you for your compliments :) Great to have you along :D

The next seed I have lined up to drop is a 20:1 as well. Which strain/chemovar are you growing (the 20:1 CBD one)?

I’ll be dropping mine with the new moon in late July... start to finish under 11/13 lighting. I’m assuming the NLA will be finished then to make room.

Your tent is looking great so far, Amy! :thumb:
I’ll get some better photos of it for the next update, but for now... I apologise that the first one has cut off the edges
Your "bad" pics are better than most of our "good" pics. :laughtwo:
Northern Lights auto continues to be twisty, with irregular leaf colouring and refuses to ever look perky.
I think NL is looking pretty dang good considering it's an auto.
DDA is lovely :) I had been thinking I had the green pheno but just in the last few days some pink has started to show around the bracts.
There's a green pheno? That's interesting to know, as my son showed me a picture of his DDA in flower and it didn't have much (if any) purple yet. I was beginning to think I got his seeds mis-labelled somehow (still a possibility, I guess).

dang good
:thanks:

IKR! I have trouble not posting a gazillion seedling pics - it’s such an amazing process, germination.

green pheno?
Yes and then there’s the pink one that turns late. I had one of them last tie and its a subtly different toke to the people one. Less body (the purple makes me dance), more ‘happy-go-lucky’ in the head. By all accounts the green pheno is racier/more potent. I’ve never had one myself.
