I don’t know what’s happening with mine. I’m going to try translplanting it into a 1gal pot in the next few days and see what happens. I’ll share some pics if I can get it going. I totally wasn’t set up for it, just did it on a whim - I’ve tried to keep em humid and warm but don’t know if the light I’ve used has been ok for them even. I do know that they all sprouted a bit of new growth, and that they’re still alive, mostly. We’ll see what happens :)

Hey there Amy, that beastly beauty of yours isn't in a 1gal pot now? Or was that a typo? Transplanting to a 10gal?
:nomo:

If that was my plant, I would defoliate more on each side branch coming off the main stem. I would remove the fans/stems (potential clones) on the bottom third of each stem. You can see in Vans pic that he does this also. This will help with airflow in the middle. Are you planning to tie any of those side branches out? That could also help with airflow and crowding. Doing one branch at a time will help make it less overwhelming then just clipping randomly from above. You will take less off this way
:thumb: I did this back on the day you posted it and forgot to share...

Better!

Thanks everyone :)

I think next time I have a plant that stacks is this tightly from the start I will top it at the 4th-5th node like I usually have done. The new shoots coming out at the top look great and the lower ones just don’t seem like they’re ever going to come up to the canopy. Plus - the node spacing is still so tight that supercropping is very difficult because there’s no space between the nodes to get my fingers in there - and I have delicate lady hands!

Moving it further from the light has seemed to help a bit with more space between nodes, but not very much! Bushybushybushy! I wonder if this means its going to have super leafy (translate to “a total bastard to trim”) buds?

Anyway - Big BLue is looking superb everyday now and hurtling towards transplant. I’m going to transplant as soon as it’s dry... which will hopefully be over the weekend sometime :slide: Then i’ll Have a week of veg before I flip it i think... plenty of time to see how the shape comes up and decide what to cull...

Looking Good Amy, You Rock...

Hey Amy Big blue is beautiful! Been having fun checking your brixing method. Your first time huh? Just great. She started out so symmetrically shaped. now so full and lush. Fun journal

Well my attempted clones have been shrivelling a bit lately as the rh in my general environment got very dry the last few weeks and I wasn’t really equipped to manage that with/for clones! Today I finally checked them and they have no roots after something like 3weeks so I’ve ditched them.

I wasn’t really set up for it in the first place. And didn’t have the appropriate set up. I think they were too dry above soil and maybe too wet below. The stems were kinda rubbery with no sign of a root on any of them. This shows what Doc mentions - that the Destress foliar can support growth to some extent, because there was a time about a week after cutting that they showed some sprouts and the whirly psychotaxi sprouted a new centre - but that didn’t last.

No biggie. Small bummer to lose my psychotaxi but Doob’s got one still going! And besides, I wasn’t really sure about what I would have grown one out in, most of my soil spots are spoken for.

I’m having some fun planning what I will do with the summer grow outside. I’ve worked out that if I drop seeds in early-mid November - with a lively new moon in Sagittarius - that will give me about 8-10weeks veg before they want to start flowering (seems to start anywhere during the latter half of January). I think that’s enough - it’s close to what I did last year and those even got stalled and still grew big enough and produced well.

Sorry there’s no pics of the clones... I only took a few here n there and they never showed anything veryinteresting, or very clearly.

I’m all set up to transplant the big-and getting bigger-blue! Filling the pot with cooked soil tomorrow so we’ll be ready to go as soon as it’s dry - also works to spread the workload out :Namaste:

Oh yeah! Hash! Well , I’ll see about making some today actually, becaue if I wait then the transplanting will mean no more activity for a little while so no hash making. Then again - I wouldn’t want to tax my hands hash making and then drop the plant during transplant!!

It’s saturday today..., about 6am ... wake n bake. I already had a little 1:1 cbd:THC vape and it was quite nice and smooth and chillaxing so I’ll continue with that for now :ganjamon:

Thanks otter!
I realise I didn’t welcome you the other day - didn’t realise then it was your first visit here!

So...:welcome::passitleft:

Thanks for being a part of it. You’re here just in time for transplantvand flip to flower over the next 1-2weeks. :slide:

Allrighty then. I'm very curios for the brix method. Reading your journal you've mentioned you're slightly impaired physically, as am too, so I'm happily surprised the method is friendly to us. Let the next phase begin.

Unfortunately I think mine’s going to be a male, it’s just starting to show tiny still unidentifiable preflowers, but in my experience the first ones to show are always male. It’s supposed to be a 1:1 ratio plant so I might try to make some seeds but I already kind of have a lot of projects going on. I will for sure clone it though just to see if the trait continues.
