All Aboard - Dabber Blooms Buds In The Tub Of Love

Isnt bud rot fungal? This looks like well idk wtf what say you. Honestly it's sad cause look how stunning that top was. Now just like the pic my grows going down the shitter hahahahah

I added the air flow took a good heap of leaves. Not too worried about the leaves. I'll take every last one right now it it helps lol. I may need to boost to a 6 inch extraction fan. But even then it's just stuffing air into the attic space.... urg.... well I'll see if I can swing by the second hand store for a dehumidifier. The box fan will stay in there for now.

Funny part is it was the nug. No leaf touching it. No signs of fuzz in any other locations. The temp drops at night and humidity spikes aka perfect conditions for this shit..... need to keep the humidity down and the temp higher.

More air flow will help a ton with how much the humidity builds up. You can make a diy dehumidifier with charcoal or rock salt if needed
Yeah dont stop there turbo.... I have a bag of charcoal in the garage

That looks like mold. Which likes wet stagnant conditions.

Fill a porous container (Laundry basket 5, gal bucket with holes...) with it.
Try to pull or push air from the space through the container of charcoal.

I'll grab some snow melt and 2 5 gallons today I'll do a fan pointing down holes in the bottom of the top bucket and hemp style on the second. When God gives you mold.... you make dabtorials! Not all is lost yet (I hope) with the box fan I'm getting 45% outside the tub and 55% inside.

Say a prayer or positive thought for me lol.

The wife ordered me a CC to help build my credit.... here's to not going too crazy

Screw it. I will just use my 5 gal from last grow and drill and fill with charcoal for the moment. I can place it directly behind the box fan. And add a 6 inch to blow over it and convert to salt. Cheap fix. Maybe I'll look at a dehumidifier if I have the time today. Regardless the box fan will stay and I'll look at adding a small oscillating tower fan or circular fan.

Pay it off at the end of every month and your credit will soar! My daughter got a card from Cap 1 when she went to college. It had a $500 limit. She spends under $150/month and pays it off. They just raised her limit to $3500 (I got the letter at home and have not told her ;)). That was 6 months of on-time payments.

That should be fine with the good airflow.

Wow. My credits finally back on par with a college kid.... they told me after 5 to 6 months they'd increase mine too. Dont tempt me to make a 150 purchase already!! Lmao. Well that's good to hear cause my Credit score was probably down to a 200 at one point. Is that possible? Idk bad. But it's gotten better and hopefully bu the end of the year I can finance a Ferrari.... NOT but a nice lazy boy maybe?

Just went to check the plants.... bad news. Lost one top already to mold or some white fuzz. Humidity has been a little high but I also attribute it to the dense buds o mama G. I'll wash in diluted h2o2 and use it for some topical ointment.

Here's to praying I didn't blow months of work.... I'll throw a box fan in for the remaining duration of the grow and look for a dehumidifier.... ahhh fun fun fuck
Yikes rip future nug of month cola :Namaste::rip::Namaste:

Morning Dabber and all!

I agree with Turbo that’s it’s more like mould than budrot/ botrytis. I had some botrytis on one of my plants recently and it looks quite different to that.

The h202 Doc recommends for PM or spores is a 3% H202 diluted at 1/3. I’m pretty sure that will clear mould spores (and I’m certain someone will correct me if I’m wrong!!). You want it to spend about 30sec - 1 min immersed in the solution and then a couple of rinses after. Don’t know if you budwash usually - but water is best at room temp (not too cold!)

:Namaste:

Still not sure I'd want anyone to smoke/eat it though, even washed with H2O2. Probably don't need the steam cleaning for topicals though :).

Yeah good thing my others seem okay. Gonna be some serious anxiety and lack of sleep lol. What can a dabber do? Not much. The fan seems to be helping. Plants honestly look nice otherwise.

There are a good amount cloudy triches so I dont feel nearly as bad for having to whack these things....Arctic said the same thing humidity should be okay in the 50s with plenty of air movement. Were.... so..... close.... now.....

I want to wash them more for the fact that I dont want the mold (mould) to spread during the drying phase....

Wash it I will! But dabber is very allergic to mold, and will not be eating nor smoking this beautifully broken specimen nor will he be referring to himself in the 3rd person. Lol.

Yes bud rot will appear as dying buds....

I'm really resisting the urge to say eff it and start prepping these girls for el choppo now.... o_O

Yeah don't worry to much if humidity raises just add a fan in the tent to blow on them. I've had my tents up to the 90's for a week straight RH wise during summer during raise your weeks.. My mars hydro's survived those conditions too (thankfully because some people have fried lights from 100% humidity and whatnot. I do not recommend anything over 70-75% and don't let the leaves overlap so much where it's not very windy... I recommend staying closer to 50 though but if you can't help it and I'd recommend fans over a dehumidifier is what I'm saying. The only time moldy buds are a possibility with proper airflow are abnormally large Colas that are very large and full of water. Most strains don't grow giant sized colas though and won't really have problems in my opinion. There are charts that show recommend using higher humidity just depending on the temps I forget the charts name maybe someone else knows though I gave a vague description... Anyhow yeah you don't have to worry really until you start getting the go the 70's which I've said a lot now for some reason some will agree some will disagree but I'm just speaking based on experience but every strain is different. But yeah I just personally prefer more airflow versus dehumidifiers because they are useless powerhogs that raise temps in my opinion and I prefer high humidity versus high temps. But everyone is different and so is their environment.
From Bign's first journal. Knew I could find it!

As long as water isn't sitting on the leaves for extended periods of time your ok. Most likely that buildup was occurring during your first hour of lights off as the plants are shutting down you'll get a big humidity spike. Water vapor condenses on the leaves and ends up sitting there. With increased airflow it will evaporate back into the air, where it won't harm your plants. With mold spores being present in the room any conditions they find favorable to habitation they will exploit.

I'd say max 65 percent. 90 is a LOT!!! And no offense meant to the dude that helped me wire my first QB.... but Led guy also claimed he pulled a pound from 100 watts of cfls in a 2x2. I'd sooner believe money also fly out of his but on 420 and smoke blunts with him. Sorry excessive yes. But dont claim something the entire world knows isnt possible is all. Now can you run at 90% yes! would I? never ever. You're early on so I'd say it's ok she's but when you have colas it won't take long.... for some thing very detrimental to occur.

Just my 2 cents if they're worth more than rubbing together for fun.

Amen brother. Well said. I will be upping airflow. And henceforth resisting the urge to reach for the fiskars....

Seperately to the budrot, I had one cola on one plant get that same kind of fluffy mould - all the others were fine. I’m outdoors so totally different environment but still - it didn’t get everything, just that one spot. Hopefully you’re fine! With extra ‘fannage’...
more for the fact that I dont want the mold (mould) to spread during the drying phase....
yeah this! Just make sure you mark the contaminated one and quarantine it!

Cool, thanks Turbo. So letting the fan run for a bit after lights off is the way to go yes?
I’m preparing for an indoor run... I’ll add this to my notes!
