A little question about curing guys. The first harvest is dry. I mean the buds are crisp dry enough to smoke. Stems though do not snap. Bend the stem and u feel the break but the stem doesn't snap as the outer skin of stem is not totally dry. Is this perfect time to trim into nugs and jar or wait longer? I'm struggling with humidity. When I say struggling I mean its 75% in drying room in the dark with the fan blowing 24h
 
You can alwas make them more wet if you put a leaf in the jar. Better be on the drier, safer side. Had some mold issues last year ill avoid that from now on.
I would close them in the jar for a few hours to balance humidity in them, and then check to see how wet they really are.


Yeah, rice is nice to lower humidity. Sir Fish had something against salt when i was thinking about using it, forgot what it was. Maybe it gets into the water in the air and lands on the buds?
 
High Max hey dont you be slagging yourself like that it is not a good way , cause the subconcious brain keeps all the info an it can come back an do some damage in the futer. Still have a great weed day:Love:

when I get ready to jar my stuff for a cure thats sound just right with the stems as you describe.once you do jar your smoke for the first week maybe longer open the jars take everything out and rotate the stuff from top to bottom and leave the lid open for 15 or 20 minutes twice a day if you can but once will be ok if you dont have time. after the second week they should be good to go with being sealed til your ready to smoke.
 
So iv got some dry weights in.... Quicker than I would of liked but 30 degrees in the cupboard with the fan on 24 hours dryed them out in 4 days.
Girl one dry ready for jar == 44g
Girl two dry as a bone :( == 41g

Iv just took the bottom buds of girl one for harvest with wet waight of 59g
A lot of stem though so I'd guess at 10g dry looking at it

Giving a harvest weight of 95g or 3.39oz
Absolutely over the moon. Can't get over how rock hard "right hand girls" nugs are and how airy girl 2s are

The re veg starts tomorro do we have any more opinions on if its a good idea to trim the root mass down and top up new soil were the old has been trimmed away? Or as don Paul said don't bother just re nourish the soil with 1/2 strength veg nutes? No diss to don p I would just appriciate a second or even third option :) the pot is 42 litre so I assume that volume of soil could accommodate to cycles worth of roots

Iv got a healthy stack of trim now also :)

Iv just tret myself to a pipe of my SLH man it's a buzzy high at first
I expect my head to be flying for an hour then relax down to a body stone for sleep if it matures like the tester did

I lowered the dose this time and its not as crazy head as it was more head and body this time
I think the bud I am smokin on has Amber's were as the tester never.

I'm just guna lay..... And enjoy

I may of bolloxed girl 2 a bit she is dry as dry can be. With her being so airy she is brittle
Maybe tomorrow il try adding that leaf to jar to re moisten.
I need to buy another pack of jars iv figured I need 4 jars and I have only 3
