Alex's - SCROG - 620 Watt CFL's - Actual Wattage - Super Lemon Haze

Alex, yep, this is just to preserve a strain I got from Cali a few years back when visiting some friends who had their medical cards. After that though, I'll be breeding aimed at crossing for specific traits, including high CBD for medical use. I want to try and target strains to specific medical conditions, as well as just pretty strains or nice "highs" and such. I enjoy that kind of thing.

Very interesting rune :) I do not have the abilities nor the space to do such things but I enjoy watching others. What was the strain ?

Thankyou don p I am s happy camper with how things have turned out :)
I will keep a close eye mate there almost all cloudy wen I look I kinda feel I shoulda just chopped the lot and got started on the re veg but a few days won't hurt :) maybe they'll be ready on Sunday Monday that's 4-5days on and I can start operation re veg at the start of week

sounds like you could of done the lot, its can only get better over the next few days anyway so it wont hurt to leave it,
if you wanted you could let it go more amber so then you can compare what end result you prefer, you can then choose if cloudy is best or more amber is best,

with the reveg after harvest you want to water with weak veg feed, you stopped giving veg nutes so its best to add veg nutes again but at half strength, then put the plant under veg schedule, for the 1st 2 to 3 weeks id use 24-0 or 20-4 then drop to normal veg schedule or what ever you use for veg,
you wont notice any new growth for about a week, then after the first week thats when you get the strange leaves, you have round leaves that look nothing like cannabis, you will have leaves that are like spirals, this will continue until about the end of week 2, then week 3 you will see new leaves forming that are normal then the plant is back into veg,

just a bit of info for you about the reveg, it does take a while to get back into veg so you wont get results for at least 2 to 3 weeks, once its back in veg you will then get the crazy growth, many many branches and bud sites,

Great stuff thanks for the info don :)
That's not a bad idea either about the Amber's I may just go that route:)
When the time comes to start re veg I'm aware it's an idea to re pot into as much new soil as possible.
I'm in 42litre buckets at the moment and iv got a fresh one waiting for the re veger. Also got a 50 litre sack of canna terra pro that's my choice soil
Iv read about ppl going medi evil on roots with a saw to be able to re pot
My pots are roughly 2ftx2ft give or take.... What size would be good to trim the root ball down too? The size of a shoe box? A football? A basket ball?

you dont need to repot mate, as long as your giving the plant nutes then repotting is not needed, ive never repotted my reveg plants, i just start again with feeding at the first stated feed schedule for veg 1, the only time ive known growers trim roots is when they mother a plant and they bonsai it to stop it getting big so they cut the root mass back a few inches.

if your going to reveg and grow the plant longer then you could go into a bigger pot but the more roots the plant has got the quicker it will grow, if you wanted to trim the roots then id just trim back a couple of inches, its not something i know much about so cant really help with trimming roots back, if i was reveging in hydro or dwc then id possible cut the roots back but with the soil plants ive never had any issues without repotting, i just start again with the nutes as if it was a seedling and grow it as normal, ive not had any root bound issues with reveg plants, the roots may even die back themselves slightly as the plant wont be able to use all the roots, i really dont know much about the roots so cant help much,

ill i can add is ive never repotted my reveg plants, just stated again with the nutes and not had any issues, once the plants back in veg growth is rapid and they soon turn into big bushes,

maybe someone who does cut roots back can jump in and offer some advice, the only time ive cut roots back is when i first did a dwc and the res temp got to hot and the roots went slimey i cut them back and it badly stunted growth for nearly 2 weeks,

you didnt even get any of them bananas growing, i know when you harvest the top of the plant it stunts growth but it usually starts back up after, ive had one plant that i harvested 3 times, i harvest the top and left the small buds on the plant to turn amber but instead of turning amber the buds suddenly started growing new pistils and the buds grew again, then when they was ready i harvested and the same happened again, i think it was an auto that i harvested 3 times, it just kept flowering until their was nothing left,

not sure why yours didnt go hermie, all plants should hermie if left to flower for a few weeks longer, usually mine do around 2 to 3 weeks after harvest date,
i wonder if it only does it on plants that dont get harvested, could the plant stop growing when you harvest the top half, i guess its also strain related,

my auto purple cheese thats ready for harvest ill let go longer,
at the minute its giving me some fem seeds on one bud as i put fem pollen on just 1 bud, on the other 3 lowest buds i put ken estes gdp pollen, these seeds are popping out the seed pods so ill collect them when they fall out but ill leave the whole plant in flower and see if it will self polinate, if it does i should have 100% auto seeds, not sure if they will be fem as ive not self polinated and tested the results, so ill see what happens with this auto, not even sure if autos will hermie late in flower but im going to give it a try, i could do with some fem auto pollen for the next round of kc45 autos i got growing,

its seems odd that it didnt go hermie even after all this time, mine seem to grow bananas pretty quick if i leave it in flower to long, ive even harvested plants that are just ready and found bananas, ive got some on my shelf now drying from the last plant i harvested, it wanst in flower any longer than needed but a found 4 bananas on some of the lowest buds so these are just drying on a shelf, their a bit young so not sure if they will give me pollen but ill know more onces its fully dried

I honestly don't remember. The seeds were from 3 different dispensary strains. Only 2 strains had seeds and they got mixed up in my bags and boxes over a period of about 3 years. I do remember that the indica had a good couch lock and the sativa was energetic, but not too buzzy or paranoid. I figured I'd try to preserve the genetics and if I have something later that I think would cross well with it, then I could grow it out for the cross.

I want to do some more specific breeding, but I need the environment to be a bit closer to done. I'm hoping to use Don's method of leaving some buds a few weeks later to collect fem pollen to preserve the ones I have in flower now, especialy HJ2 since she's high CBD.

Heres the million dollar question... When's the new journal and with what?
