Alaskan1's Flo n Gro Mixed Bag Grow

They seem to work just fine for my mothers. Short and bushy, thats how I want them

i think it depends how far away you put them from the light too
seems like you have them close and sounds like thats the way you want it to come out
from what ive read if you move it farther you can make them stretch for the light........
also largely depends on the lights you buy because alot of them are cheaply made knockoffs giving a bad name for the good manufactured lights.

i agree, but to argue against the cheap one i have seen a few grows on the video site that used the cheap rip off ufo lights and they grew the plant from start to finish and got great results,
to me it seems these plants are pretty hardy and will grow under any available light source, not sure whos journal i saw it on but someone had grown cannabis from start to finish and flowered using the same light and got ok results with some stretching, but it still produced buds and was said to be a good smoke and this was using a hallogen lamp from start to finish, it just seems these plants will grow as long as they have got some light,

did a res change tonight
New nutes at 1450 ppm
PH at 5.7
Watering 3 times a day
Res temp was 64 degrees
New twist on things. There was debate on whether the pump I had at the bottom of my res was creating the res to heat up a few degrees. I took out the pump tonight and put in an air stone. I will be posting res temps nightly so we will really see if it made that much of a difference or not.

Yeah, I rethought that plan last night lol

We are putting them in the net pot and hosing them off outside like you said.

BIG net pot YEAH...

I just use a 5 gal bucket and drill it, fill it, wash and drain. If I need to wash a little more aggressively, I insert the drilled into another bucket with solution, then agitate up and down as needed. Quick and effective. I can then look in the bucket and see the result as well. How clean is my wash/rinse? What ever is left you can pour down drain if indoors.

One could even use it to pre-charge a medium. Just load the bucket, dip, and drain.

In fact I just looked next to my desk and... there sits a trashcan made of screened mesh. Looks to be just the right size for the bucket... Hmmmm.. That screen is fine enough I could wash perlite in it... Hmmmm... would she miss it ya think? Maybe I can paint a bucket black and swap it out?...

:bravo:

LOL! I have that exact basket... got it from Tar-jay. I asked her for it and she willingly let me "BORROW" it. But, yeah, she knows it the best thing we have to wash hydrotone. So she gives it up every two months for a good wash... and for healthy, fresh smoke. She sees it as a trade... I use it 15 minutes every two months, and she gets the freshest smoke available. She just requires that I wash the dust off when I'm done.

Dump the hydroton in a 5 gal bucket. Attach net pot lid, fill in bath tub, drain. Fill, stir it up with hands, attach lid, drain. 6-7 times till drain water is clear. Tomorrow, do it again.

All excellent suggestions! :bravo:

We put them in the net pots and hit it with hot water from a garden hose with a nozzle attached to it, dumped the bucket out and then refilled it until all we saw was clear water. This should lessen the dust we HOPE
Again, all excellent and helpful suggestions and I will rep you all if the damn system will let me lol

Yep, you all got reps!!!!

ok, took some pictures of the growth, some plants grew over 3 inches last night!
Things are looking very good!

Got off the phone a little while ago with Technoflora. My nutes have been running very hot when I used their suggested amount. They are going to test the batch numbers of all my nutes I'm using and get back to me tomorrow with the results.

They also want me to take EC readings next time I do a res change and they want EC readings everytime I add one of the nutes and call them back with the results. Got an invite to the factory though they said nothing much goes on there lol Would be interesting none the less since they are only a few hours from here.

Mom tent looks great. The LED should be great for maintaining moms and veg. There is still some improvement to be had with LED's for bloom, but they seem to veg very well.

Sounds like you got some good info and tips from Titan on the Flo n Gro, and I appreciate you sharing them. I had gone away from the one "night" watering about a month or so ago, and my last watering is about 1 hour prior to lights out now. Are you doing 2 as he suggested? I may have to try that.

I found this post from Mr Smith when poking around the other day, and thought it was really good and wanted to share it. Seemed timely if you're testing an airstone in your reservoir:

Need help with Ebb and Grow bucket system

There's a few good nuggets in that thread, so it's worth a good read if you haven't read that one already.

I use an extra FnG bucket/netpot to rinse hydroton. 300lbs. is a lot!! Thankfully I don't have that much, but it sure seems like it.

Keep up the great growing brotha - things are looking terrific! Sorry I haven't been around much lately - trying hard to get more caught up though. :)

Thanks for the read. I'll get to it tonight!!!!
Don't ever worry about not being around enough. I know you can't always be here. But, we love it when you are around. I think I speak for a lot of people here when I say "we like having you around"

Things here ARE looking very good. Plants grew overnight and are green and healthy. Hit them with the last dose of AzaMax while in bloom.

I think it's always a good thing to be adapting, testing and trying new things. Without that you always stay in one place.

Till next time my friend!!!!!!!!!!!! :high-five::goof:
