Alaskan1's Flo n Gro Mixed Bag Grow

and did i mention them spiders, we do have nature programs here so ive seen it all, not very nice some of the creepy crawlies out their, even their centepede is like a bloody armour plated robot and even that can sting, apart from that its a lovely country and id visit, one more thing, what about them sharks, your just not safe over their, even nature got it in for you, everything bites back, i mean i can bite but i aint got a mouth full of venom, but i here its nice this time of year, lol, put all that aside though it is somewhere id love to go on holiday, not sure about trecking in the outback but would love to visit some nice beaches and chill with a smoke, we got beaches here but only get about 2 weeks of nice weather, the rest of the time its raining, snowing, or gale force wind or all 3 of the above
 
i would love to go their, i just got a fear of spiders, not sure why i didnt mind when i was younger, cant stand them now, i wont sleep in the same room as a spider, just makes me feel on edge and just cant rest i think it had something to do with me waking up one day and picking a glass of juice up at the side of my bed and i went to drink and had the glass touching my lips and was about to tip it back, when i saw a fukin huge spider floating in my glass, worse part is i wasnt sure how long it had been in their during the night, and i always have a drink through the night due to been awake loads, so it could of been in their while i was drinking out the glass, now thats not a nice thought,

OMG you just sent the hebie jebies down my back. Don't like spiders. Had same thing happen to me but in kitchen. Ahhhhhhhh Spider
 
alaskan what is your air temp at mate, im trying to figure out why my plants have got slow growth, another grower bought berry bomb seeds the same day i did from same place so should be same seeds, we both planted at exactly the same day, using the same lights, now my berry bomb has grown the round seed leaves and the single set of real looking leaves and the next are just growing now, but the other grower has got more growth and is a couple of sets of leaves ahead of mine, but it seems all my plants have got slow growth and wonder if its a temp issue, ive turned my fan off as it dont even get warm in their just left it on to toughen the plants up a bit, but wonder if thats why the growth is stunted, could be the plants are reacting to the temp, and that could be why the stem on my other 2 plants are like tree trunks but the plants only 6inches tall, im trying to rule stuff out so going with the temp first see if that makes a difference,

My air temp usually hovers between 72 to 78 during light period. Lights off they hover around 66 to 70. RH is between 30 and 40%

Optimal temp is 75 degrees with a swing at lights off of no more then 10 degrees is what I have learned.
 
On page 45 I talked about my talk with Marty from Titan the designer of the flo n gro. I forgot to add one thing we talked about. AIR STONES! Yes!, Marty did say that the system does infact need an airstone. He said while the Flo n gro does give the nutes some DO from moving from the res to the buckets and vice versa they have found in testing that the plants do seem to improve a bit with an airstone. He said not much is needed.
 
thanks mate, im just trying to eliminate things to find out why i got slow growth, my plants are not that big, ive turned my fan off, this will bring the temp up im hoping to over 20c, or 70f, with my temp gauge im getting 70f but thats without the fan blowing on the temp gauge, so im thinking my actual temp is much lower as the fan is blowing the air around, my temps are not high anyway, the fan is in their to strengthen the stems, so it wont matter that their is no fan in their for now, and ill just see how that goes, ill watch the temp to make sure it dont go to high but i cant see it going above about 25c which is roughly 80f or their abouts, im hoping this is the case of my slow growth, my plants look so healthy though and i cant see any signs of problems, its seems the stems are getting thicker and thicker but growth has slowed, thanks for the temp guide though, i want to keep it above 70 when lights are on, prefer it above 75f, but no more than 85f,

as far as air stones go here is what I fount that works the best and a good price at Myers for 3.50 each 3.5" bubble shell the 4" round ones at the hydro stores will plug and leave u stranded

As a mater of fact I just might. It sulfuric acid and I'm doing some experiments right now as in using it diluted as a ph buffer. I have some branches that I cut of a week ago or more they haven't rooted but their not dead yet either. 1st I'm doing some experiments to see how it holds my city water straight out of the garden hose. Then I may move the unsuspected to that water bucket and see what happens. I will finish this and update in my journal

How and why does the PPM go up that much of they didn't drink that much water?

It's telling you they drank more water than nutes, if that pattern continues I would lighten the mix, see how they respond. Some have trouble absorbing above a certain ppm level, as I believe it to be. You will notice a different patten during flower vs veg.

Just my thoughts..

I'd like to add to that, when they do that it is usually caused by heat over 80 Fahrenheit.
